Atlantic 10 also getting crushed. A lot of mid major conferences are postponing games. Some high majors are just playing through cases and sitting players if they are positive.

Probably for the best. Don’t think AR was going to play. Should be ready to go by Sunday. Cam could get used to being Batman with more practiceđź’

https://towsontigers.com/sports/mens-basketball/stats/2021-22/drexel/boxscore/22045 Charles Thompson scored 18 points, but that was not enough to beat Drexel, who came back to beat the Tigers in the final seconds 65-61. With about eight seconds left in the game with Towson up one, Tre Brown was fouled by Terry Nolan Jr. and sunk both free throws. Nolan attempted a driving reverse layup with a second left but could not convert. It was an incredibly frustrating game for the Tigers, who had three technical fouls (Juwan Gray, Cam Holden, bench) and shot just 3-of-20 from beyond the arc. Jason Gibson got the start for Antonio Rizzuto (personal) and went 1-for-9 from the field and 0-4 from beyond the arc. The Tigers also went 8-of-17 from the line as Nicolas Timberlake went 3-for-5, but missed a crucial 1-and-1 late in the game. Towson travels to Delaware for a game on Wednesday night at 7pm.

https://towsontigers.com/news/2022/1/3/mens-basketball-nolan-jr-joins-1-000-point-club-towson-mens-basketball-narrowly-falls-in-caa-opener.aspx No excuses. They hadn't played since Dec. 14. We both were missing key players. Yes, Cam Holden gutted it out with a mask and did about as well as you could expect with 14 and 5 with a fractured jaw. You could see had some trouble dribble at times and he couldn't shoot free throws (0-2). But still has the old school back to the basket game. Speaking of back-to-the-basket. When you are shooting 3-of-20 from three, maybe it's time to go to Thompson and Holden more towards the end of the game. Not go Terry Nolan launching 3-pointers with 2 seconds on the shot clock. You're up 1 or 3, not 15. You need to feed the bigs especially with Butler out and their 6-10 guy out. Really not thrilled with anybody aside from CT. Nolan took some terrible shots early and played hero ball late. However, his defense (3 steals) was missed when he missed the first six of seven minutes of the second half due to some minor injury issue. It just wasn't Gibby's night and not sure what the issue is with his mid-range shots. They were giving him those shots early, not three-pointers. Not going to go through each player. Obviously missed Rizzuto and hope to have him Wed.

Looks like Holden is going to play with a mask, but no Rizzuto.
