https://towsontigers.com/news/2021/4/16/mens-lacrosse-heavyweight-bout-set-for-saturday.aspx Big matchup. Oh no, on LSN.
-
Crazy. We don't score in the second half, but win 9-6. Back in the CAA Tournament picture. Shane Brennan with 13 saves. He was exceptional today. Lost 17 of 19 face-offs. Embarrassing.
-
This is unreal. Towson has not scored in the second half, but still up 9-6 with 3:23 left. The offense has tried the same things in the second half that they did in the first. So many freakin' turnovers, because UMass decided to play tighter D in the second half.
-
As usual, the face-offs are catching up and the Tigers started to turn the ball over as the middies became overconfident. Up 9-5 after the 3rd quarter. Some really bad decisions on offense. Got lucky that a goal by their pole was waved off.
-
Up 9-4 at the half. Great offense. Our offensive midfield has dominated led by three goals by Ryan Swain, two from Austin Stewart and two from Tim Montgomery. Four assists from James Avanzato. This is despite a terrible performance on face-offs from mainly Evan Santora winning two of 15. Shane Brennan has four saves, though two were spectacular.

UMass All-Access, not LSN.

I guess he could redshirt

The transfer portal is a lot different than it was a decade ago when we added JB, Guthrie and Burwell. Guthrie was an undersized juco small forward and the others received little playing time at Georgetown and USF. I’m not saying we added a JB, but three proven double digit scorers, who can play both ends of the floor and add Holland, if he is healthy. We need our last ship to be a legit big that can defend, rebound and do the little things. We should be a lot better and the bench should be stronger as well. Curious about the three freshmen coming in, but there won’t be a lot of pressure on them to start or play a lot.

This guy called it coming out of Juco at the end of the video saying he should be Newcomer of the Year. He does play bigger than his 6-5 size. Has very long arms.

All I know is that he's impressive

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/4703407/cameron-holden Holden's shooting numbers were not great. He had probably his poorest game against Ole Miss. But he had some pretty good games against the top teams in the OVC in Eky, Morehead State and Belmont. Not a great shooter at 41%, but an unbelievable rebounder for 6-5, 201 and a pretty good passer (2.0apg).
-
CAA was ranked 19 in RPI and 17 by Warren Nolan. OVC was ranked 22 and 24.
-
So with Cam Holden on board, we now have options G Nolan G Rizzuto F Holden F Gray C Thompson They can play the 6-5 Holden with Nolan, Rizzuto, Holland/Timberlake and CT in a smaller lineup
-
He left months ago. I don’t think he fit the 3-4 defense as a 6-1 end. He had 4.5 sacks in 2019, which was two less than 2018. He might have fit better in previous system.

Again following and heard from doesn’t mean offered

Locally, looking at Coppin, Navy and possibly UMBC. Hampton at home seems set and potentially UNCG on the road.
