Do we know when spring practice starts?

The roster is not updated. From what I hear, he is supposed to be here.
  2. My guess is no, but not 100%

Do we know when spring practice starts?

Good question. I believe Ed can answer that. I don’t think they can do anything with fans. Maybe just family.

    Coach Rich and WBB

Towson is down 44-34 to Delaware with 4:29 left in the third quarter. They lost the first game by 26. Getting crushed on the boards. But that's not the story. Apparently, something happened at halftime coach Diane Richardson. She did not come out of the half and both teams were in a prayer circle. Associate head coach Zach Kancher took over duties, but she came back on the sidelines drinking a lot of water. Of course, she had issues with COVID-19 weeks ago. Then at 4:29 left in the third quarter, Aleah Nelson was injured on a drive to the basket. It appeared she hit a Delaware's player leg with her head when she slipped. She was down for at least five minutes and got up very woozy. Players were visibly upset and shaken and at around the same time, Coach Richardson was taken back to the locker room on a stretcher. Fortunately, Nelson is back on the sidelines but could only imagine the player's emotiions as the lead is now up to 16.

  8. Elon has played well down the stretch. We haven't played. I doubt Zane and Holland play but who knows. What the hell can Holland do in one game after not playing all season and just practicing for a few (interrupted) weeks. I guess it can't hurt, but considering he hasn't played in a regular season game in about 14 months, not sure what he can give other than be another body. McIntosh is very good. They have a Bryant transfer in Ndugba, who has played well down the stretch along with Darius Bruford, who scored 23 points yesterday against a severely undermanned UNCW team (had 7 players and Sims out for the season). With Matt Lewis out, seems like it's NE's tournament to win with Hofstra and maybe even Delaware being a player.

MLax faces No. 18 Richmond on Saturday

Think they are set with Mo Sillah at the pole, GZ and Koby but not sure about that third close defenseman. Also, they can't seem to find consistent short stick middies. Personally, I'd go with Ticehurst at the pole and Mo as the third close defender, but not sure they want to take Mo off the wings of the face-offs. The middies are improving, but I don't giving up on the huge freshman line. Even if you want to play just one. Wonder if Greg Ey got hurt, because he was out after the first quarter. Think Stewart and Swain are fine on the first unit with Wasserman.

MLax faces No. 18 Richmond on Saturday

Bad loss after going up 9-5. Sure, the face-offs hurt after getting the lead, but the defense and poor clears crushed us. SSMids are having problems and they really struggled on the left side defensive near the crease. That last possession was rough as Brody Mac looked for Swain near the crease but low pass and low percentage one. They had time. You have to at least get a shot off there. Good news that it's meaningless overall. It's all about the CAA. Have to tighten things up on D. Martin looked good at times and rough at times on F/O. Winning just 4 of 12, Santora won 7 of 13. I guess he'll get the start next time and Martin is much bigger change of pace guy. At least had 14 turnovers instead of 26 and forced 20. Brennan not quite as good as last time with just five saves, but I don't think any of the 11 goals were on him. Don't get not playing the big freshman midfield. Though Austin Stewart was great today with 1g and 3ass. Swain with three assists. Milani 3 goals, Avanzato 2g, Brody 2g. Mo Silah had a great game with 3 goals and 2 caused turnovers. Seems like we're still kind of in preseason form. Getting better in some facets. Need improvement in others.

Brennan leads MLax over The Mount 11-5

Despite the sloppy play (26 turnovers), this was a pretty good road win. The Mount is no joke. They beat us last year and they have a win over Delaware 10-7. Shane Brennan was great in net with 19 turnovers and while we did lose 12 of 20 face-offs. That's an improvement on the 26% we were before the game. We also may have found somebody in Drew Martin, a 6-3 transfer from Air Force. Usually, you don't see many FOGO's that tall. But whatever it takes to win or at least go 50%. He won 5 of 8 and that's Alex Woodall numbers compared to what we've been getting. On offense, James Avanzato is playing well with 3 goals and 2 assists in that feeder role. Another two goals from Brody McLean and Andrew Milani. Still not enough from the first midfield so they played four different units. I do like the potential of Austin Stewart, who had a goal. Casey Wasserman also scored and had an assist. Ryan Swain had two goals so the first unit with Greg Ey, did a much better job. That big freshman line featuring 6-4 Jamison Gaskins, 6-5 Austin Ducommin and 6-5 Pat Anderson moved up to the second unit. Just one point (an assist by Gaskins)

MLax faces The Mount on Wed., at 5pm

Actually wrong. We were winning around 26% before that game, which is horrific. That's a lot better than 26% and their face-off guy was pretty damn good. And Drew Martin, of all people, a 6-3 transfer from Air Force, who has barely played in two seasons won 5 of 8. Not saying he's the answer, but he's the only player that has been remotely successful thus far and they've used five guys. More concerned about 26 turnovers in good weather. We should have had 20 goals considering their goalie made three saves and Brennan made 18.
