You mean he won't be facing Clemson or Notre Dame in the CAA? It's ok to be optimistic without saying the team is definitely going to Frisco, because you do have to play defense. Yes, he did face Notre Dame in 2019. A very good defense. Completed 12 of 27 for 134 yards and ran for 67 yards with two TDs. He also faced Alabama in 2018 and threw two picks.Threw for just 110 yards with two picks against Clemson in 2018. Threw 2 picks against Florida State in 2018. So essentially, 6 of his 13 picks came against Clemson, FSU and Alabama. Alabama's defense>Elon. Notre Dame's defense>W&M. They were up double digits in the third quarter but when 0-6 from 3-point range in the fourth quarter and shot just 5-of-19. They also went 8 of 14 from the line in the second half, while JMU went 20 of 22. Probably didn't the ball to Jeter enough in the second half and needed to set more screens for her. Not that Shavonne Smith can't score, but the offense needs to go through Jeter in the clutch. They also continue to struggle with bigs and whether to go small with freshman Alie Koubek at only 6-1 at center or big. They played 12 players today. The rotation has to be narrowed but I understand the struggle finding consistency in the post. They need somebody who can consistently rebound and defend without getting into foul trouble. The other issue is turning the ball over from the post. Towson only had nine turnvoers, but three came from LaKaitlin Wright and one from Tess Borgosz. Both attempted to dribble drive from the foul line, which is usually not a wide move for post players. Other than that. They were right there against JMU on the road. Just have to finish. The guards are really good. Love the new guards Aleah Nelson and Skye Williams.

Everyone gets a redshirt year if they want this season , but I really doubt he returns. They need scholarships to open up for the next class.

I would say one more pause and we may have to shut down, but I don’t believe we should shut down for two weeks due to one player testing positive. Quarantine the person and move on, but rules are rules so. Also not a good look to cancel football and men’s basketball in same season when almost everyone else is playing. About 95% of college basketball teams are playing right now. Many have had pauses and some have had two.

Always comes down to the defense. We seem to have almost every piece. Maybe another DL. Good secondary. Two outstanding inside linebackers. We could probably use a pass rusher. A big experienced running back. A bigger Flacco. Maybe a tad faster. Hope he's healthy, but he has a year so should be fine. All of our injured guys from 2019 will be back and refreshed. Can't wait.
