Betrand is sitting out this year. I think we play three local schools not named Loyola. Another A-10 school from Pennsylvania.

    CAA Preview (pretty detailed)

If you kept Makhtar Gueye, you would not have Zane Martin, unless he wanted to be a walk-on. I'll take that trade-off. He also had some personal issues that appeared to limit him from playing early on.

    Tiger Throwback: 1990 Gymnastics Team

Judging has changed along with scoring, but I’m no expert on gymnastics and its rules. My guess is that routines have become more difficult as the athletes have become better. That was a great team and they had no fear.

Yes unless they get hurt or decide to move on with their lives

    Shane Simpson Watch

Really like to see them use him like Meggett. Punt returns, play him in the slot, throw him the ball out of the backfield. Might be the anti-Antonio Gibson who went from wide receiver to running back in the NFL. Give him a shot in the slot and as a return man at the next level. If he can stay healthy of course. Impressive performance by the Cavs against a good North Carolina team.

    2021 Football Offers/Commits

Let's actually look at facts before we speculate. Delaware and JMU don't have to get many FBS transfers. They can recruit tons of 3* guys. Do we have more than the average? Probably. At this point, you are going for the best player to help you win games immediately, not 2-3 years down the line. Was recruiting really good 4-5 years ago? If it was, the coach probably wouldn't be in this position. It starts with the quarterback and we've only had one pretty good one that came in as a freshman (Peter Athens) and one who was serviceable (Connor Frazier) since 2010. Albany, for example, has 17 transfers. Richmond has only 7, Maine has 17. Let's look at our projected team for fall 2021, assuming nobody leaves or is injured. If they are homegrown, asterisk. QB Jeff MIller* RB Kobe Young/Adrian Platt both * TE J. Epps (Lincoln) WR Jabari Allen* WR D. Street (Pitt) WR R. Rutkowski* LT A. Garnett * LG A. Gryzmkowski* C C. Cheripko* RG Demarcus Gilmore (juco) RT Darian Bryant (Temple) FB Luke Hamilton* Defense (defensive line rotates a lot of players) DE Bryce Carter*/Marcus Bowman (juco)/Bryce Lauer* DE Jesus Gibbs (South Carolina)/Quayshon Alexander (Nebraska)/Tibo D.* NG Sam Gyeni* /Vinnie Shaffer (Saint Anselm) OLB Nygil Johnson*(original commit to Nevada) OLB Michael Robinson (Ball State) ILB Ricky DeBerry (Oklahoma) ILB Christin Dixon* S Robert Topps III (Kansas)/Keyvone Bruton (Temple) S Jamal Gay* CB Brandon Shuman (Purdue) CB Charles Peeples (juco)/Jirhe Love*/Jeremiah Wynn*

    2021 Football Offers/Commits

First off, they are probably limited on how many scholarships they can bring in. Secondly, if you in your last year of your contract, why would you want to rely on just freshmen in what could be your last recruiting class? You would want to bring in guys that can help you right away.

Not sure everybody saw the video. Again, I think if we don't have all those injuries and with most of them back, that surely led to most of the players not wanting to play. I guess.

    No Spring Football

There's no chance of me seeing football practice this fall. Maybe in the spring, assuming they practice. I'm just hoping to see some hoops games live with a mask. I know this is COVID-related, but it really is all about injuries now or trying to prevent them. As well as preserving those two games in 2021. They could have played in the fall, if the CAA allowed it. I mean, it would have been tough, but we had it set up pretty well with testing and most students are were not on campus-but it's a moot point. If Miller is No. 1, it's by default. Amendola just got there and Stover is gone. I assume Miller would have gotten the nod in the spring, but he's iffy in bad weather coming from California. You know you're going to see some bad weather in March and that's another reason why playing spring football is not the most sane idea. It's interesting to see the comments under their Tweet by Athletics. People just see the headlines and don't read the story. This was not a political idea made by the President. Sports will still continue at Towson, just not this particular one. This sounded more like an RA move supported by TL or maybe even proposed by the team.

One other thing to add is how they will deal with the scholarship situation. There are currently 18 seniors and my guess is roughly 16 are on full or partial scholarship. I also don't know which of those seniors have jobs lined up and have to go on with their lives. If there are only a few of those, you'll have a very small freshman class in terms of scholarships. Other schools will have the same issues, because I'm sure they will give their seniors an option to return for the fall.

    No Spring Football

I figured this might be coming, but I have mixed feelings. Yes, the student-athletes health comes first and if they voted mostly against it (apparently 75%), then you can't force them to play. My guess is that we have a ton of players who are either coming off injuries or have an injury-history and didn't want to play six games in the spring and 10-12 in the fall. I also think (I know) they want to play the ND State game at home and the San Diego State game on the road. Those games may have been in jeopardy had we played six games, because it would be tough to play 17 games in 2021. But why are the other schools playing (at the moment)? Are we the only school with doubts about playing those six conference games? Did everybody want to play on every team? I would think that we won't be the last FCS team to opt out
