If Duke is faster, then the good thing is that there's nobody else we'll be facing that can emulate their speed. That speed is a huge part of our game, our transition, the ability to clear the ball. Patterson is not fast and neither is Bodden. So if you keep the ball away from Goodrich and Koby Smith, and to a lesser extent Andrew O'Dare. Speed is such an important part of the game due to the clock and clearing. I don't know if they should bench Patterson because Bodden is too good but something has to be done or the clearing game is going to doom us. As for UMass, they are impressive. We've played a better schedule and they've played three pretty easy teams the last three weeks though the Albany win four games ago was impressive. The fact that we're playing such a brutal schedule will help us in the CAA.

How in the world is any point guard that we've discussed as HS seniors/prep school guys, remotely close to Dottin or Ivory as shooters. Gibson is a priority. Believe me. They offered him.

Agree about the timeouts. He likes to save them in the second half until the last few minutes. It's almost like a Dean Smith philosophy that Terry Truax used to use. Save your timeouts until late. It did work in the Loyola game though but that's when you're ahead. Patterson and Bodden are solid defenders but they don't clear well and I think Canto is not much help. Why do other teams have no issues clearing it against us, but we have so many problems?

More like 43% from the field. Second-most assists so is he a 6-0 point guard (71 to 56 turnovers) or a shooting guard? Of course, I'd love to have Grayer but who knows where he ends up. I'm sure he has about 25 schools interested.

Only way I'd take him if he's our backup to Fobbs and the 2 spot. He's definitely an upgrade over Betrand but he would have to be our third ship. Pass.
