    2019 Basketball Offers

Yeah, seems a little more athletic. Crossin never really broke anybody down off the dribble but he could shoot.
  3. I know, no spring game. RA didn't want to risk more injuries. I'll be trying to get out there two more times. Let's take an in-depth look at the spring roster (some names not posted yet on the on-line roster) Interesting number change? Ryan Rutkowski takes No. 7. Jabari Greenwood's former number. 7 Troy Vincent Jr. He's back. Might have been some doubt since he was listed as a senior last year. Really hasn't played much in his FBS/FCS career. Safety? Corner? Nickel? 8 Jesus Gibbs (6-4, 290ish). If we are going 3-4, the South Carolina transfer should be a great candidate for a starting defensive end. 9 Darian Street (6-1, 190) WR from Pitt has three years. Talented player who will finally get his chance with Jabari Allen and Shane Leatherbury. Could have best WR trio in the league 10 Robert Javier (6-0, 175) Next Tye Smith? Same number as Chris Greaves, who needs to step up this year 15 Sean Bryan (5-7, 175). Diminutive RB gets a chance to play a lot as fifth back with Shane Simpson taking less reps and Yeedee coming off surgery. 17 Jeff Miller (6-6, 253) Future starting QB? 22 Ricky DeBerry Number change from 4. Position change? 26 Daniel Thompson (6-3, 210). Big bodied WR who sat out last season. Hellacious blocker but a lot of players ahead of him. Will be interesting to see where he is by the summer. 27 A. Feliz-Platt. Missed all of last year due to injury. Nobody runs harder. For those old enough to remember, he's a reincarnation of Noah Read. 38 Stanley Davis (6-0, 180). Another juco safety from Louisburg College 39 Steven Brown (5-11, 190), Juco safety from Sierra College in California. All-American 41 Brian Chase, 42 Sean Jefferson 51 Langston Cross. walk ons. Chase spent some time at Rutgers. Cross apparently played baseball 62 Marcus Bowman (6-2, 260) DE Big-time pass rusher from ASA College. Should have three years 64 John Mullins III Expected to move to OL from DL 81 D'Ago Hunter (5-6, 165) Truly one of the most exciting newcomers (redshirt freshman) on the roster. They need to get him the ball in the return game and in the passing game. 82 Ja'Len Elliott (6-1, 186). R-sophomore. RA very high on Elliott 97 Sean McDonough, Sophomore punter from Marshall with big leg 99 Vinnie Shaffer (6-0, 310) Middle River native who played at St. Anselm. Has 3 years and is expected to vie for nose guard spot.

    2019 Basketball Offers

I'm always skeptical when we're late to the game and we're offering a guy whose only offer is Bryant. But again, we have a lot of offers out there to point guards. He may not be priority one but the most recent. Can he defend at this level against Grant Riller and the rest (assuming Riller doesn't jump)? I don't know. We need somebody to step in right away.

I am waiting for the weekend

Hmm. Appreciate the optimism but nobody has won the CAA from the play-in game spot. Before all the others start to pounce on your post, please explain how you feel this team will win the whole thing as a 9th seed.

Yeah, please don’t do your jobs and ask for donations. We’ve complained for many years that we didn’t get enough donations and now we’re complaining that they are asking too much. It’s a great day for Towson Athletics. We need more asking and more giving

Assuming not a lot of D1 players are coming out of richy-rich Sidwell Friends.

I haven’t seen any info on videos. TSN will have audio of both games.

Funny. I don’t think Quint has ever been that glowing about Towson.

  14. This is why you can't trust thew writer's or the polls they control
  15. Seems like we're trending to being number one on Twitter from the writers that vote. I don't know. We usually don't get nice things. Nads probably wants Cornell to be No. 1 (assuming we beat Jax no guarantee) so we can beat another No. 1 team and he can use that as motivation. No coach really wants to be in that top spot when they aren't used to being there. But as fans and alums, it would be amazing.

100% on target. Nothing like a selfish point guard who won't pass and doesn't realize he can't shoot past 3 feet. Dude has balls though but it's not helping the team.

    Today was rock bottom

I've been watching that crap mostly for 25 years with a few good years in between. But while I can't cheer or boo, I'm putting my hands on my head a lot during games. A lot more in the days of the other coaches. I didn't much this year so that's why I'm a lot less critical that I should be because I knew this wasn't a very good team after the first few weeks. I'm so hungry for good basketball. I've covered high school ball on Rivals.com back in the late nineties and saw dozens of future NBA players in Orlando and North Carolina Was a ballboy for the Bullets so I've probably witnessed thousands of games live as a paying customer, member of the press or working in some form or fashion. I love this game and it used to hurt me to my core seeing bad basketball over and over again. It still does to some extent. Maybe I'm just getting old, worn down and immune to it. At times, I feel like I've wasted thousands of hours on this program, volunteering for most of them to cover them. Yesterday was one of those.
  18. The rankings don't mean much to most but to us, Number one would be great. I was posing this question in the media room yesterday. I think Cornell might be ranked higher. Maybe Penn State, Duke, Denver. Sucks because Yale, Denver and Duke have one loss. We don't have the name they do, even though we've made three final fours. We beat the No. 1 team but hey, it's politics. Beat Cornell next week and Jacksonville, who is not bad and there should be no question.

    They quit today.....

People care. Maybe not enough people, but "they" know. Maybe I'll never see another title before I leave this earth. Maybe I'll see another Devin Boyd in my lifetime. But I'll keep having hope that we'll find the talent. Jazz couldn't do it. Hunt couldn't do it. PK couldn't do it even though Neal fell into his lap. PS hasn't found one. It shouldn't take 25 years.

    Today was rock bottom

We had 2,500 (ok stretched a bit) for a lacrosse game in the middle of the week in 35 degree weather. Sure, it's against number one but please don't me people don't come. Football attendance was good before the Notorious tailgating incident. There's no GD reason why we can't get 2,000-3,000 for a good team that plays somewhat entertaining basketball. UMBC is finally starting to draw consistent crowds of 2,000+ in a new arena with a winning team. They are a commuter school with most kids that think that sports is a waste of time and interrupts their studies.

So you've hit rock bottom along with the program yesterday?
