Are you kidding....A coach who has won NOTHING....NOTHING, whining about not getting the respect he is due. Let him move on. I really have never gotten past the idea that Skerry gets a pass after failing every year in the tournament, which (and I know that most of you will disagree) is the only way Towson will get the "return on investment". Surprised his right arm does not hurt from patting himself on the back.

Probably worth a shot.

The reason is the folks do not care. It has nothing to do with price. I do hope it changes....perhaps the new AD can make the magic happen. I do think with all the hype, these guys better produce or it really sets the program backwards.

I have heard from VERY reliable source that the CAA is looking to change their name since the word Colonial is offensive to many.
-
Love the answer. I thought it was somewhat odd, but what do I know?
-
is that true or is that sarcastic. I really do not know?

Whining from a coach who has won nothing in over a decade is incredible. Talk about ROI.....not Towson Hoops1
-
after 13 years...I would hope so
-
you are correct

Enough top talent to bomb out in the CAA tournament....for over a decade....the only real games that matter.....I know I will get bashed for saying that, but the truth is the truth....Winning in the regular season is feel good, but that and 10 cents gets you a cup of coffee.

OK....not sure what point you are making. and btw, I watched all of those games. Some times recruits work out...sometimes they don't....sometimes transfers work out sometimes they don't.....the world of recruiting

Your question is totally irrelevant. What would Indiana State's legacy be if they did not have Larry Bird transfer from Bobby Knight's squad? You play the players you have and they determine your legacy. The what if is a silly question. Some coaches get good breaks with players that appear at their door. It happens. Sometimes you have kids you think are studs and they fail miserably. It happens. You have every right to discuss the product on the field and the coach that leads them, but the What If Player A was not here is ridiculous.

Staying that way after this coming game could be tough.....but you never know!
-
it does.....UNDEFEATED!

Certainly the school has to put more into the program. However, the coaches should also be required to raise a certain amount of money for their program. While this may not be true in Power 5 schools, in schools where funding is a challenge, the fund raising should be part of a head coaching job for the Olympic sports. Either that or don't worry if they win, lose or draw.

The true definition of a fair weather fan.

Wondering the thoughts of regarding the future of college football at this level....how long will it last. In my opinion, with the portal being what it is....the kids that play well think they are ready for "Bama and therefore enter the portal. The kids who play poorly think the coach hates them and enter the portal. The final result is 50 new kids on a team every year, which makes building a program nearly impossible. How long will universities pour large sums of money into these programs. Even if you win a national championship.....next to no one knows about it. Football is a sport that can bring excitement and camaraderie to a campus, but at this level and with the competition you are looking t within this conference., especially with the teams that have been recently added.....it becomes a little tougher to sell. Just wondering what others thoughts are. Just an opinion.

These are not inconsistent statements. The fact is the situation requires use of the portal, since these are the new rules. While you have to use it, that does not mean you don't think it is terrible for the game.

WBB: Diane Richardson leaves Towson for Temple

Not sure I agree. There is something to be said for planting a seed and watching it grow. If you are in the coaching business, complacency is not a part of your vocabulary, no matter how long you are at one place. Even those who are at one place for extended periods of time and do not have tremendous success, it rarely (I would like to say never, but that would likely be inaccurate) is due to complacency. Maybe, just not good at what you do! -
Guess I should follow a little closer. I did not even know we had a Tyler Gill on the team.
-
Lets just say he was very good friends with TJ somebody who Skerry threw off the team. Birds of a feather......
-
Not nearly as good as he thinks he is
-
you are right
-
I understand that we are stuck with what we have in order to support teams. I love the O's and Ravens....but it gets harder. many of my friends who were incredible fans are losing interest year by year. Just saying it is getting tough.

Are you really okay with rooting for the uniform, showing loyalty to a program...when the ones who represent that program have no loyalty? Certainly would cause most folks to think twice. They dont really represent what Towson University (or any university for that matter) stands for.
