Graduating in 3 years is impressive. Does he want to come here?!
-
lol. And that he can't shoot FT's. Judging off one year of stats and the fact that he was a JUCO, he's definitely skerry type of player... I'd rather have anyone over nothing at this point, if we have an open spot. Haven't been following, do we think Holland gets a waiver to play? I know the immediate transfer thing was shut down a week or so ago.

Not sure if anyone else saw it, but the promo video for tickets is pretty cool and done well. Who knows what is going to happen off the field this year, but season tickets are 100% refundable, which is nice and needs to be done. But the individual ticket prices are HIGH! $25 for each non Homecoming and Parents weekend game, those are $30. One of those is the JMU game, which we probably should just charge 50 for! đ

Lol makes sense. Had some bad hires early on his career for the sports that matter. But cignetti and Schrage seem to be good. From Maryland. But he probably wouldnât give a coach with a .500 record an extension! Actually he fired one similar. Haha -

Is that a problem? Itâs only been 9 years. Be patient, it takes time!! -

Hoops worsen. Immediate eligibility when transferring, if approved, will hurt. People don't want to hear it but the 2 bottom feeders, JMU and Elon, wont be for long. New coaches, New arenas, and they can't possibly be that bad forever. Add UNCW with an unproven but young and hungry coach, Delaware and WM the same, but we are just hear with a 10 year coach who has won NOTHING and us looking like idiots. Football, don't know or care. But If you can only manage 14-10 and 1 playoff beat down to a partial scholly team, with a phenomenal QB, you got problems. 10 years isn't long man! Some have been waiting 30 years, which means its not that bad! (sarcasm) it is the same thing every year -

Thatâs the problem. A few others and yourself are just happy to have a program and a 500 record and terrible postseason results is just icing on the cake. Same with football. Itâs the SOT mindset there are a lot who arenât happy with that and want a winner. And 10 years to prove yourself is more than enough yeah those are the stats used... they arenât cherry picked. Thatâs the great thing about stats and numbers, you can argue and discredit them (as you typically do) but they are usually right... -

Excellent freakin post. I donât say cheat but hey the Astros and Red Sox cheated and with with little consequences hahaha âBetter than the Kennedy years.â Doesnât take much. But Atleast PK won caa tournament games and in a much better conference đđ I donât think anyone said we are embarrassing. Certainly still a joke in the CAA hierarchy. Those Early caa teams didnât belong from a competitive aspect and were way over their heads 10 years for a total rebuild (that isnât complete) in a bad conference isnât taking longer than expected, itâs too long. He needs to win 3 straight games in March against our peers and he struggles to put a competitor product on the floor then. PKs teams had poor facilities, academic support, etc. The âyou younger guysâ line isnât applicable, when most of us have been following the team for 10+ years. Been following the team since 06 when I began looking at schools (not as long as some of you) but I did live first hand through the hell of 3 years of Pat Kennedy and that 1-31 skerry debut team. I remember the longest losing streak in d1 history. I remember the team playing in front of 500 people a night at the TC (not much more now). I remember the fucking bleachers not coming out on the bench side for a game. I remember the Troy franklin jr/sr debacle. I remember the pregame meals at the Glenn or from black and gold catering under pk and the drastic change the next year under ps where we got real pregame food and an academic advisor and support staff. I also remember the bus ride back from Richmond after getting our heads beat in by VCU by about 65. -

Sorry, but stats matter whether your like them or not. Facts over feelings. We have been the worst team in the CAAT under Pat Skerry. FACT. We have won a good portion of our OOC and CAA games under Pat Skerry. FACT We have beat up on bad teams in and out of conference, and lack a "significant/big" win under Pat Skerry. FACT We have done a great job of graduating our players under Pat Skerry. FACT Our attendance, fan support and moral is slight (very slight, like not noticeable) better under Pat Skerry. FACT We play in a much easier conference now, than 10 years ago. FACT Pat has really good resources and advantages and we still fall short every year of expectations. FACT Players have and are coming and going at a higher rate than our peers under Pat Skerry. FACT I get that the role players transferring happen all the time and people don't care, but the ones getting a lot of the shots and PT transferring is concerning. We could be better than last year if Holland can play. Who knows. The CAA should be a real stinker next year. The Skerry Cycle: Players leave- New team and tons of new faces- Skerry talks them up "I like them, they love being here, tight nit group"- False hope- Something weird happens- Season begins- Beat the crappy local schools- Lose to the halfway decent and good teams- Something weird happens(injury, transfer, ineligible player, someone quits)- CAA play begins and we start off poorly- We bitch on here- Skerry makes a change and tells us they are just gelling- We win a few in a row and peak- Lose in first round of tournament- 1/2 on here want to throw Pat a parade down York road, the others deem the season as a failure- Players transfer and it begins again. Like clock work -

I know and understand that everyone comes from different backgrounds and walks of life. Not everyone is going to be a saint, but it can become a slippery slope when other players/recruits see the results of what happens to players in trouble. I'm not blaming him, just pointing something out. Not everyone is perfect, and I believe in second chances also. Pat's done a good job keeping the bad things his players have done out of the media. Some of these transgressions have been pretty bad, granted it's not like they are throwing chairs through windows of the Union and starting a melee at the BSU ala Rick Brown. Arrests and ending up in the court system is pretty bad. We aren't just talking peeing in public and noise violations here. If so, almost every player would be involved. No one is expecting winning NCAA Tournament games...lol. The measuring stick and goal should be (and is for everyone on here) winning the CAA tournament and making it to the NCAA's. I'd even take just playing in the CAA Final at this point. Scratch that, I would take a win in ANY CAAT game. In the last 3 years 9 of the 10 teams have won a game, guess which hasn't?! Towson 0-3 Drexel 2-3 JMU 1-3 Delaware 3-3 Elon 2-3 Charleston 4-2 WM 1-3 NE 7-2 Hofstra 5-2 UNCW 2-3 The two teams with 1 win each, were both against us, and they both have since fired their coaches. Elon has more CAAT wins in 6 years in the league than PS does in 9 years. Elon's first year coach won as many CAAT games in 23 hours as PS has in 9 years. -

The guy has baggage and has already been in hot water numerous times in two years here... The fact that skerry frequently Keeps players like these is strange. For as well as he graduates players and preaches the good culture, itâs interesting to say the least. But hey they can help him win a few games. And I want them to win so who cares if they arenât all choir boys, as long as PS keeps doing a really good job of keeping the police blotter silent from the media đ -
that would be a very tough but good schedule

He can sit on a bench elsewhere And get in trouble with the law in another state. #onlyup -
Actually, Thompson played a lot early on because Sanders was out the first 5 games and limited Solomon. Looking at the stats, Gibson played more minutes early on than I thought, because he wasn't starting. And at some point he had to get the nod over Dottin at the 1.
-
You are correct. Assuming we have another guard, Jones won't play a lot right away, as Pat brings his freshman along slowly until half way through the season. But he will need to play D or he won't play as much as he'd like.

there is always a way to find things, especially in the year 2020....... this may have been strike 3. -
I get what you are saying, and think it would be great to see someone with athleticism finally play at Towson. But don't get sucked into the Skerry Cycle!

Work is slow, but it's not that difficult to find. All Freshmen that PS brought in (Not counting Adams, Giergen, Walden as they were either signed by Kennedy or red-shirted the year prior). # Means transferred from TU Jones#, Pressley#, Hairston#, Marshall#. Alston#, TJ, Foster#, Davis, McNeil, Morsell, Hawkins#, Keith, Tunstall, Thomas, Matthews#, Gorham#, Martin#, Ingram#, Prophete#, Drayton#, Seluck#, Timberlake, Betrand#, Dottin, Solomon 25 Freshman total, 15 have transferred. FIFTEEN 60% leave prior to graduating. You can also add in 3 transfers, Astroh, Morman and Four, who transferred in and then left prior to graduating. He lost all 7 players from two straight classes. The fact that we won 10 games during that time, should be credited to Pat. But the blame should also be assigned to him for recruiting and not being able to retain those players. I know it's like talking to a brick wall with you Skerry rah rah guys and you will die on that hill. But facts matter! -

Elon in the 2018-19 year had 5 four year graduating players. One school, small sample size, and crappy coach, but still. Can't compare him to any current coaches because only 1 coach, 1! has been tenured longer than Pat. Ridiculous Good luck sitting on the bench a lot, the next 3 years -

Amen. He was at a second level Juco, and wasn't going to transfer again, after one year here. He seemed happy and content here and was a very good player. Just wish we could have gotten 3 years out of him. Pat Skerry 9 years at Towson: 5, four year players that he recruited and graduated from TU. TJ, John Davis, Morsell, Eddie Keith, Alex Thomas. 2, five year players that he recruited and graduated: McNeil, Dennis.
