My question is how can others schools do it and still compete but we can’t? Every team seems to have someone on the freshman team every other year and still compete. We have had Gibson and morsel. That’s it. We aren’t asking for a star day one but someone who can contribute. I guess we can say Conway but if Gibson was healthy he would be buried down there with the other freshman, Coleman and parr. Which leads me to another question, how can parr contribute to GW in the a10 (5 and 5 in minimal minutes) and not even get on the court here?

Lol. What could have been, frank mason if you didn’t fail history. Hairston was a hot head and went crazy in the Kansas locker and thus got kicked off. caa is about guard play, hence why we haven’t ever made any noise

I don’t think he’s a great offensive minded coach. A lot of his sets lack imagination and our OOB sets are always horrific and typically lead to a lob to the safety valve. He did make some adjustments last year which helped. But we are stuck with the same staff year in year our (why do we think that is?! The seats never get hot and there are 0 expectations for Towson athletics). I do think the players like him but it’s been 10 +years and we still haven’t had a point guard. It might not be a player issue but the style of play and coaching. I mean a bling squirrel finds a nut once in a while. His big issue is he doesn’t play young guys (I tend to agree) but it kills their confidence and many leave. Recruiting is a mess. Eddie Keith. Jd Morsel. Tj Gibson. Charles. Nick * the most successful that we had out of hs. We have seen so many overrated busts and other kids who can’t play at this level (1/3 of our Roster now) But in the end it doesn’t matter. Some on here called a 18-14- through 20-13 and out in the first round of the caa tournament a success. We are halfway to that so those folks are happy!

To be fair Conway has been pretty good from three. Albeit small size. He was the only highlight from todays game.

I’m sure Bryant at 6-4 feels the same as we do right now. Not living up to expectations. The bulldogs don’t really defend but we can’t score so. where is the leadership and sense of urgency?! We start 4 guys who are 4th/5th year players and should be better than 8-4. Disappointed in the three guys who were here last year.

I think it’s close to the ocean floor. Losing to a young and not good Uni team that came in 2-7 and scoring 65 a game, allowing them to put up 83 is not good. Look, we feasted on an extremely weak OOC schedule. There were 2 teams that may finish top half of their league. We are not close to the top 4 teams in the league right now and I’m not sure if we get closer anytime soon. Reinforcements aren’t coming except maybe Gibson and that’s a big if. We have at least 3-4 players on the roster who aren’t d1 players. But like bill parcels once said “let me shop for the ingredients if I am going to cook” or something like that, pat recruited these guys. the three point shooting on this team has been atrocious and I’m guessing a certain player had an outlier last year as his shooting this year has been way closer to his career than last

No star on this team. No player to get his shot and take over late in the game. our issues have been on defense lately, not sure Gibson helps with that. He is a good shooter but lacks on the defensive end so it’s a ?? But I don’t think we see him again this year. we are kind of like unc (Strange I know). But a team that came out of nowhere last year and got hot. Return a lot of the same players and have lofty expectations and then have fallen flat on our faces

Selling a bit low! Lol. I will say, Towson is a gamblers dream. Vegas doesn’t think they stink as much as we do. Don’t like betting against them but it’s too easy. Win or lose, I have a good ending

Injuries will be the excuse. But there are 3/4 players on this team who aren’t mid major players. Low major or d2 at best how many more seasons are we stuck with skerry??

If mr positivity is negative, you know it’s bad. Uni is a 2-7 now 3-7 team with a bunch of first and second year players. Our team is full of seniors and older and got taken to the woodshed again by an inferior opponent albeit much more skilled (like navy and Clemson)

This is 17-18 All over again. Skerry can’t coach teams with expectations. Total chokers. We are looking at best the 5th best team in the league. Uni was 2-7 coming into this one with wins over a 1-7 and 2-8 teams.

Theoretically yes. I do think Charleston trips up at-least once in the regular season. So 31-3 would get them in if it isn’t a bad loss. Their issue is for NET most of their games were at home

Lol 6-5 program who hasn’t won much in a decade , “not rebuilding”. appreciate the honest responses from the AD. But the fcs will still exist, it just won’t be as good. (All levels of football have seen the Talent drop off) why is there any talk about expansion and stadium renovations?!? Why?!? There’s no point. Build the damn bridge that they have been talking about since I was in school. Feel like this coaching move will either be a slam dunk or a total shitshow with little chance for anything in between. He doesn’t seem like the boisterous and personality type to get 15 good players in year one so it will take some time. Bless him for leaving sunny Florida for Towson. Wish him much success
