I was going to say we are the acc of fcs. Clemson-Jmu. And then a new team in the other division each year. Maine. Delaware. Wm. Etc. since 2016 sans the Covid year only one current caa team has made the semis. Considering most get home games and or weaker opponents the first round or two, quite disappointing. Granted fcs playoffs cost teams and conferences money rather than make it so

Yes to Penn state, wvu, South Carolina, Maryland and many others. Penn state is in the middle of nowhere. Texas and Ohio state have major highways and roadways right past their stadiums. Those locals are a lot more accepting of a football team around the corner because they see a benefit in it. Bc is an interesting compare though. Do people event want to move up? Or will this be out of necessity? Jmu and Delaware have the money facilities fan base and want to move. I don’t see that here. I am all for college football shitty realignment ruining rivalries and travel in football but make these football only and leave the other sports alone!

Sure the actual stadium could be expanded but why. We average 4k. The roads in and out with t west and co took forever. Traffic is a nightmare there in game days. It isn’t as easy as saying “we can add seats”

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. No chance. A new Stadium would need to be built way off campus. Infrastructure on and around campus can’t accommodate 11k fans. Asking for more wouldn’t work. Not that we could ever dream of drawing that for football. This also doesn’t take into account the community objections Lol caa football since 2013. A real downhill league. There are about 4-5 good fcs programs left. Time to reduce the playoff field.

Charlotte is expandable. Ok so where is this stadium going to be built? Hereford? Hartford county? Can’t be anywhere close to campus.

Did fbs lower their standards for admission? It used to be 20k stadium and an attendance criteria? If so, and we move up (ha) where is the new stadium going to be built?

Conway had Nick open and just needed to pass it a split second early. It was close. Parr played well in the first half. He should be 8 a game. 4 in each half to spell Charles. He wasn’t good in the second half because Charles picked up a stupid foul reaching at the FT line. It all comes down to march but doesn’t mean that this one and the others don’t count. Conway getting minutes and playing well is a good sign. Small sample size but he’s 50% from 3 and looks comfortable on the foul line. Don’t look at when he Shoots inside the arc, those numbers are ugly. Is his d a work in progress? Yes. Was another shooter on our team a liability on defense sometimes as well? Yes. He is too valuable to space the court right now to keep the defense Honest. We have no other outside shooting (people that can make them) with Gibson out. Nick sometimes will get hot and hit 3 in a row but then won’t make another for a game or two It is a 5 team race. Charleston, Towson. Uncw. Hofstra and Delaware (defending champs with 2 really good players) the 4 besides Delaware are all really different teams from one another, it’ll make for some good battles. Uncw Hofstra and Charleston have all played tougher schedules than we have uncw- best defense in the league and gets after you. Not great at shooting. Small but quick. Charleston- best depth (10 deep) not great at passing. but play at high pace (not as much as last year) not tested on the road Hofstra- best one two scoring combo. Can outscore anyone bad on defense. Lack of depth and rebounding.

Need to applaud the initiative. But those are some bad teams even on fcs standards. There are about 5 teams that realistically could move up and compete still left in the fcs. The rest are all middling at best. If all fcs teams try and move up to fcs (which will just be p5 soon) then isn’t that like raising the minimum wage to $15?? They would all be in the same situation as before. I guess with the “higher” classification these schools can pimp out their football programs for 750k-1 million a game rather than 250-400. Is the additional staff, scholarships, travel expanses worth it for the extra 500k? **this isn’t a dig at fcs football or Towson. I don’t think there is a right or wrong answer at this point, more questions **

Beating Clemson on the road in a tv matchup doesn’t matter?! What?!? Of course it does. Clemson isn’t duke but they aren’t BC. This would have been huge publicity (you know the kind we were receding a few weeks ago until Charleston stole it). A win would have put us in position to get an at large at the end of the season. Would that have been likely? Probably not but if we went 31-3 with say a loss at Charleston and In the caa final, there would be a good case. But we pissed away another good opportunity. Second half leads at Pitt, bc, Clemson, Ohio state and Maryland. It would be nice to win one of those once in a while

Passing the buck? Sounds like a recent former tigers coach. Our bench doesn’t play. Feeding them to the wolves and calling them out? Come on. Blaming the performance staff, but you brought in two injury prone guards who miss always significant time or have various ailments. we don’t practice or play zone. So why do that against a good shooting team?? That’s on you pat. Not parr who has 15 minutes played all year or a career d2 player. missed fts and missed wide open layups along with awful defense lost the chance to beat a solid acc team.

Hasn’t won a big game in over a decade here. So there’s that. 8-2 blah blah remember 10-1? Yeah play weak teams get a good record. clemson could be good. Didn’t expect to win. But when toy play that bad and make same mistakes time after time it’s frustrating. eBAT it’s ok to want better than just playing d1 basketball. It’s ok to want to win. Every other team and their fans base wants that except here
