Huge win for the league. Caa only 9 wins this year… 8 belong to us Charleston and Hofstra. The other win was Drexel
-
Cougars choking the lead away. they are so deep and have some nice players. Huge recruiting class coming in next year. Hofstra is also a problem, best player in the conference and it’s not even close. Depth is an issue as usual for the pride.

MBB edges Albany 67-62 in a sluggish opener

Albany trailing 0-2 D3 at half… -
Was this past weekend one of the greatest for TU athletics? Mens hoops 2-0 on the road. Women won their season opener. Volleyball sweeps at the time undefeated Hofstra and clinches the caa regular season title once again. Even football won on the road.

I’ll concede that. But our older players need to step up. Sloppy play, bad shots, lackadaisical etc. We don’t have a good enough player to get away with that like other caa teams. That was far from perfect. No one expects that. Penn played awful too and jury is out if they are actually decent. We didn’t take advantage and put it away. Glad you were happy to just get a win. Taking the foot of the gas is a bad habit to get into.

3-0 is nice especially since we have played awful. But 3 games in and still playing poorly is a point of concern
-
Ugly game once again. Playing with fire we will get burnt soon. 3 of the caa 7 wins so far. 7-14 as a conference (unless wm wakes up and stuns Va tech). There’s a top half that’s good and a bottom half that’s beyond awful, especially since we have added anyone s d everyone (stony Monmouth Hampton and nec a and t). We were here a few years ago but this is an unbalanced league. can we get depose, smarter, Better offensively? Can’t lean on the press clippings to help us. We have been To busy looking at how great people think we are than actually doing it. 32, 55 where are you?!?

Wild that at 25-1 the last match of the regular season decided the title. 4 straight? Hopefully we can keep it going in the tourney with another rematch on the horizon

Football comes back to beat Stony Brook on the road 21-17

+1 unfortunately. The Towson (skerry and Ambrose cycle). False hope -

There you are! Been a long time MA. give me your top 5 football wins outside of the ncaa run uconn. the one time we snuck out a win against jmu nova in 2012? unh with west. Sheesh there’s no list with out west. There’s also no rob Ambrose without west. 28 deserves most of that salary -

Yup. To be fair he shoulda been gone by now too. Both got very lucky to be employed by a school who pays decent, zero expectations and no such thing as hot seat -

I’ll give credit when it’s due. This football season was bad. We played awful teams and won. Greet. You can count the big wins for both on a Jason Pierre Paul hand. We do beat the teams we should. -

We hear the same things for both. 2 career 500 coaches. With combined one year of truly dominant play. 7-4 shouldn’t be hard to do. Winning 2/3 games in a row in a tournament is more difficult. But also should have happened. the first year we played sub d1 I counted those wins. Coming off 1-31 we needed anything to cling to. But the “20 win” seasons with the non d1 wins don’t count in my books. rob and pat don’t ever beat the better teams or slightly better than us Doing the 20 wins in hoops and 7 for football was nice when we never did. Now we have. It’s time to do better. Plenty on here are happy to just have a team. That’s Towson and loser mentality. No other fan base and administration is ok with that and it shows, having 2 of the longest tenured coaches in the league with some nice seasons but nothing really more. -
Timberlake leads MBB to 67-55 win over UMass

A few charges and cams swinging elbow also add to the tally but we will take the earlier of those. -

To be fair. A handful of the turnovers were bad passes from Not being on the same page and some slippery hands. It’s not like the pressure was bothering us leading to easy hoops on the other end -

It is. And that’s something that usually doesn’t happen when we typically get the bright lights as a university we fold. So the first two wins were nice, despite how we played. 4 umass starters shooting 1-26 from the field helps us! Some of it was good defense but even bad looks college players are gonna shoot 25% or so. I think the ones who saw us play 30+ times last year (everyone on here) know how good this team can be and Frankly we haven’t been good to start this season. Hopefully we get in a groove sooner than later. On to penn -

He’s an undersized 5. Against big teams he struggles offensively. The real issue is the fouls. He has always been able to stay out of trouble. This year through two, not so much -

This was a much better effort than Monday. A road win is a road win. This team hasn’t played well this year but have gotten away with it since their competition has been subpar. hopefully we get caa Charles soon. He hasn’t gotten on the low block and hit that weird ugly lefty hook this year. That was unstoppable late last season -

We also have 50% of the wins for the caa this year. Haha -

Road win is a road win. The last 17 minutes of that game was as ugly as two teams could play. Lets hope we got our stinkers out against two bad teams. first half Nick was good. Too much reaching. Too much Fouling. Thank god umass couldn’t hit from the line and is a bad team. 2-0 and playing poorly Is good I guess. Need others to step up. -
Weak slate of college hoops tonight. This is one of the better games tonight
-
He’s played for half the D1 teams in his long career!😂. 13.6 and 7.4 against us in his career with 65% from the field
-
Hampton looks awful in their first game as a caa member. Caa went 3-4 on opening night
-
Minutemen have some transfers and size. Gonna be a tougher one than we expected 48 hours ago
