While volleyball looks to be continuing their dominate ways, womens soccer is off to their best start since 2007! 4-1-1 through their first 6 games. Field hockey is 1-3 but they have Atleast scored a goal in their games, something they really haven’t ever been able to do

Agree. They have a lot going on and it seems that the other hand doesn’t know what the other is doing. I do have to applaud the effort thought. 5 bucks. 7, free who cares? as long as we get butts in the seats. However there are still LOTS of lower level tickets still available (more than half)

Just watched the replay. Hawks were much larger and more athletic than we are. Too many dumb fouls and awful defensive rebounding. 32 being a non contributor didn’t help. We hopefully won’t play too many teams with that many bigs. Charles struggles on both ends against larger 5s. some of the new guys looked a bit lost, as they normally do. Probably good that we played a close game and got punched in the mouth. Maybe it’ll wake them up. Any reason Coleman and paar didn’t get any minutes??

It’s why competent programs make the change prior to this season or a few weeks ago.. caa has some badddd teams

Lol. We have issues getting 4K at our home games and you think we can get 1000 to a road game 3.5 hours away? Extremely frightening

Sure that is a goal but there will be rebuilding years where we take our lumps. And guess what! That’s next season. We can go 5-30 and as long as those 5 wins are in dc, we go to the tournament. 20 wins is nice. 25 wins is better but those shouldn’t be the main goal. We have done those before. We haven’t gone to the tournament. Charleston will be a beast but that may mean both the school and or Kelsey won’t be a problem for the caa for much longer

Because the goal is to make it to the dance. The only way to do so is win 3/4 games in DC in March. Not trying to skip ahead. But we’ve been told by others on here that the regular season and ooc games don’t matter, Atleast record wise, when we lose a game or two that we feel we shouldn’t. So..

Soccer wins their first ever caa tournament match, 2-1 over Elon. Next up is 8 seed hoftsra (who upset 1 seed Monmouth) in the semi finals

Yeah that’s true. And Unfortunate since this team will be good and exciting. Hopefully we don’t fall behind 24-1 like last years home opener. There is tons of pressure and hype for this time and rightful so. One bad game in dc and there will be excuses galore from This board and the coach. 7 players in their 4th year or more of college with 3 Of them entering the 4th/5th years in the program. If not now, then when?! NCAA or bust

They did have a great party for the semifinals during our run. It was filled with tiger fans and a few other patrons who left when it got rowdy

Agreed on Batemans. While the food wasn’t great it was convenient along the way to games. There’s literally nothing around anymore. Arena has had beer for at least half a decade

So if Thursday is considered a weekend, we really shouldn’t expect anyone then? Right? Because they will be home, visiting friendly elsewhere or drinking themselves silly? (Devils advocate) besides Uncw and sort of Charleston and wm (only thing for the nerds to do), students don’t go to games elsewhere. Hofstra student section is empty. Ne has 50-75 kids standing in the risers next to the band. The DAC pack isn’t what it was. Delaware is mostly alum and regular folk.

Any coach that has had success with qbs on this level should be highly considered. College football is about scoring and that’s been our Achilles heel

3,000 will be tough. The first year of the arena along with a good team we packed the place (on Towson standard Atleast) Got it Class and homework would be a reason for any weekday game then… again I will say this, student asses in seats don’t matter much!!! Other caa schools and ones around our size do not draw flies when it comes to student attendance. With that said we should be able to average 750-1000 students a game with this team. We have 22K+ students and 6-7k on campus. (I feel like the bed guy from caazone). Where the hell are the alum, families, locals, etc?! 75% of seats that can be sold are still available. The community as a whole needs to do a better job supporting the programs.
