That is correct. Now NE has hockey which is likely not as costly as football but still expensive. Agree, just pointing out that the caa hoops schools are just that. (From time to time Delaware breaks through but it’s tough) but keeping a coach a few years past their expiration date due to not having funds to do so is exasperated in a situation like that. Hoops or football or any team for that fact. We all hope Steve gives out smart extensions when warranted

From 2018-2019 from mid major madness.. not sure it is accurate at all. Would assume we jumped a bit higher on the list since then. It’s hard data to find since it’s mid major and also some of the schools are private or semi private and don’t release data.

Yup. I have 40-44 with my Towson math but 25-34 in the caa. Over 1050 days since our last conference road win. Have scored more than 30 points just twice on the 18 games!

Second this. My hate for them rivals my hate for some unnamed football coach in Baltimore county. I wanted them to fall on their face so bad at the next level but they are now doing something other teams haven’t done. It’s not like they are winning, they are blowing people out with their 10th year players. Seriously ageye-obese was the running back for Jmu when we had Darius victor. Dude has to be 30 years old. They had that fing kicker radke there since they Clinton administration. F Jmu. But they do invest and care about athletics there, even before the move.

Agree. Gibson and Conway could be instant offense off the bench with their shooting. We have legit 9-10 players with the last two being chase and or Coleman/freshmen

Nervous about these little injuries but hope they are good to go by November. Basketball needs to win in March. Plain and simple. He needs to win and make the tournament. Until then he shouldn’t complain but students need to show up Atleast for the first game Caa programs don’t draw students to games (sans Uncw hoops) Ncaa tournament brings more notoriety than fcs football and lacrosse could ever dream of. So yes basketball should be focal point

Good comparison. What do they spend? Jmu spent a ton of money on athletics. There has to be way more students and people who care about football around Kennesaw Georgia than Towson Maryland. we have been stuck with average results by coaches who should have been canned long ago. There are plenty of people here just happy to have a team! Keep hiring football alum and keep getting the same results.

Yeah. Our schedule (minus Fairfield switch) is good and challenging. Not gonna get too many at home l. Student athletes did show up last year for a lot of the games. I know the hoops team goes out to other teams games as well so it seems that they al have good relationships. moving the students from the basket is interesting. They used to be on the visitor side with the band when the arena opened. (Which is where they should be) but they complained about the bleachers (should be standing!). The student entrance is over there too so now they walk outside down that way and then enter and walk all the way back to the other side

32 days out from opening night. Are they doing anything special for the first game? Banner unveiling? Good giveaway(not just a poster or a shirt)? This could be a special season and one of only 3 ooc home games.

Sounds like Steve will be looking for a new volleyball coach at years end. So is life as a mid major but it’s always good when coaches move up from here as it means they had a level of success! maybe our resident volleyball poster would know but how much door big schools pay volleyball coaches? Any potential big Jobs out there?
