Understand your reasoning but how many people aren’t coming to a Towson home football game on a Saturday because they are going to an orioles game or ravens one the next day?? My guess is you could count that number on one hand. More affordable, easier accessibility, safer, don’t have to deal with drunk asshole ravens fans etc. Being remote helps them a good bit, but they also put money into their programs

A competent program, with money and alum (both ex players and regular folks) who actually care and aren’t worried about making a few ex players feel good about themselves. They do have the highest student fees in the country (Atleast they did a few years ago) and god knows our students already complain about that. Didn’t think they would be this good this quickly though

We can and do pay well for a coach but with far less return on our investment than other schools

And our two wins are against 0-4 bucknell and 1-2 Morgan who did beat some non d1 team today lol

Hopefully. I know in the past JMUs games (which were on in the Baltimore market) on nbc sports was their feed and announcers. If you went to flo it was the exact same. I know northeastern has had some games son NESN, Delaware and Drexel nbc Philly, Jmu nbc dc, and Charleston had a deal with local CW affiliate. this is good and leads me to believe Steve E isn’t a big fan of the flo format.

That was a good team that got hot at the end. bad luck and adversity his everyone. We have had our share of that but we also have been the better seed in most tournaments and we’re pretty uncompetitive in the losses just feels like he gets tight in March and it spreads to the players

Because for a while there was a group that was pro rob no matter what and another that was anti rob no matter what. I think we all are on the same page now and agree change is needed (and probably needed to be made a while ago) Completely disagree, need to go outside. If an alum has such a big ego and has an issue not seeing that they aren’t getting the job done and remain biter for years, that’s on them. After some point they should want what’s best for the program and school. Also, if we go with an outside hire, than maybe those “big donor football alum” will actually put their money where their mouths are if the coach isn’t getting the job done and needs to go. Rather than living in football purgatory like Towson has for the past few years.

I’m not sure what else some of you want.. the rob needs to go crowd has acknowledged there were some good successes along the way. It’s not like everything was bad. But the negatives over the past 3-4 years outweighs the positives. The results speak for themselves. The program reached its highest point in 2013 and has dropped and Plateaued at best, since.

Hopefully sooner than later! Why? To make football alumni happy? What are their credentials and qualifications for the job, besides once playing for the black and gold? We’ve gone with alumni and inside the program guys before, we haven’t had on field success like other programs so maybe let’s try and go outside and get a fresh start?

Exactly. This isn’t Tuscaloosa or state college where if (I am not saying this happened!) a player got into a fight at a bar, it wouldn’t even make news here. Most people wouldn’t even know Or care.

At this point we aren’t eating a buy out. His contract is up at the end of the season. Paying him the rest of the year to not coach Vs paying him to “coach” currently, what’s the difference??

We all know how bad the programs were before the respective coaches both took over. It’s not year 2 or 3 or even 8 for them! They have had the time and some success. Pat has won a lot in the regular season and had adjusted his coaching philosophy. But the constant failing in early March is what needs to change.

There has been plenty of a sample size on both coaches. For Pat he has never been able to get it done in March and the teams have choked in the caa tournament. Pat Kennedy has more caa tournament wins at Towson than Pat Skerry, let that sink in. This team is too talented this year and excuse time is over. Ncaa or bust.

Great that you’re still here! I’m still here waiting for the unveiling HAHAHA. yes we made it to the championship and had a generational player, but he’s had a decade to build off of that success and we haven’t. We are in no better shape now than then, which is the issue most of us here have.
