Never named names of players in these “attacks.” They are on scholarship and here to win football games. Saying that they aren’t good isn’t attacking, it’s stating a fact. If you want them to get an education there are other ways than playing football. There are plenty of other average players rob can recruit to replace them. my agenda is, an alum and fan who is unhappy with the way this program has preformed since 2013. A team making the championship, in a conference that has gotten weaker over the years, shouldn’t be struggling to win games especially against the likes of bucknell, Morgan, st Francis, central Connecticut etc. The coach has been there long enough and should have been fired a few seasons ago. The same problems continue to plague this program. I want to laugh at this but don’t want to be criticized for being childish…. Sorry that you are offended. Serious question, are you happy with the direction of this program? Are you a player current or former or family member?

No grudge against them. I’d assume they are trying their best. my statement is that we shouldn’t be paying to get these games on tv, like other programs who actually are successful and want to win. Laughing and cracking jokes of what has become a joke of a program isn’t childish. It’s a way to cope with how we’ve been passed by almost every caa program and still have the same staff that has a grand total of 0 playoff wins and just 1 paltry appearance in the last 8 years. Fan and student support is lower than it has been since my freshman year (08) where we fired a coach who also could not get the job done. Thanks for your concern.

Also Bryant has a ton of transfers (along with Umass for obvious reasons), but lost Kiss. Those both should be some good tough games this year. It’s nice to have them make the trip here next year or the year after?

It’s legal now so. Hopefully Pat leaves Charleston sooner than later for everyone’s sake… haha to bad Charleston is the furthest outlier in the conference. I really enjoyed the tournament down there. Beautiful city. Arena not super far (10 miles) from downtown. The teams going far in it helped attendance. But anything is better than where it is now. The arena size is fine but there’s nothing else around it

Conferences have a large say in these things. When the Va 3(4 now) were in the caa we signed a solid deal with the now defunct nbcsn. That pissed espn off leading to very few and now even more rare games on their platforms. Unless we are in a tournament or on the road, we will not be on Espn platforms. I didn’t mind games on Comcast and masn much easier to watch other games in all sports around the league. Jmu Charleston Ne and maybe Drexel have their games on some local affiliates, abc, Comcast, NESN but are paid by the schools I think. Still foot promotion of the schools. You don’t know how many times I’d get texts from friends and family “hey we started watching the Towson basketball game thr other day, just happened to be flipping through the channels”. Can't do that with flo sports. You either know about the games and care to watch or don’t have access to the casual/random fan And before people jump on me, yes I know Saturdays game is on PBS(in Maryland) lmfao. Probably better if people don’t watch the people trying to coach and play football up on auburn drive 😂

It’s bucknell. Probably the worst or second worst offense we play all year… I’m negative. Everyone knows that. Someone give me something positive besides it’s one game closer to the end? 🙏🏼 .

If we can’t buy out a lame duck coach who hasn’t been good in years, with a year left (see pk) what’s the point of fielding a team?? We’ve been lapped by other programs in thre conference and continue to run rob and the same excuses out year after year. how much of robs contract is twest getting?! It should be all of it the apologists will still defend this bum no matter what 14-13 to 1-10 bucknell?! “Why don’t we draw fans?!” Let’s be serious… and there are some here who want to expand the stadium?! At what point is enough, enough??

Should always play 1 shitty team, 1 50-50 game and 1 pay game a year in an 11 game schedule. We aren’t Delaware or Jmu where we can afford to pay for at least 2 patsy home games each year.

Not soon and gloom. We’ve seen and heard all of this before. Fcs football, with 5-6 of the good 10 programs moving up, just isn’t exciting now. They should win on Saturday by a lot. Last year blew out Morgan and we were awful to say the least. If it’s a close game it could be a loooong year

It’s the game he’s played for well over a decade. If 4 of the qbs were that good they wouldn’t be at Towson with a lame duck coach.

Good article. Point guard and sekou’s game translating to this level/fitting in are the biggest question marks. Can cam shoot enough to get minutes at 3? With Charles and sekou in the front court? Conways long lay-off is concerning. Hicks will probably play a lot more early in the year

If we are in the caa we are getting a 15 seed guaranteed. That goes for every caa program. A 14 would be a reach. Stating that reaching the ncaa and getting crushes would be disappointing?! Really?! Sure if we had a late lead and yakked it up, but the ultimate goal for any mid major team is to dance. Plain and simple. The league hasn’t won a real game since the Virginia schools left and frankly most weren’t close (getting 14/15 seeds hurts). Those really good Uncw teams were the last chance the caa had of picking up a win. 500 shouldn’t be the goal in conference play. Sorry. We have to much experience and quality players coming back for 500. The net will take care of itself with our solid scheduling this year. Every team in the caa (prior to the newbies joining now) has played in or won the caa final since skerry has been here except us. It is now or never.

No doubt that is the ultimate goal and determinant on whether this season is a success or not. He’s a mid 40 year old father of two. He’s gonna be cringy and corny. Atleast he is putting himself out there and that will help the program.
