    Story on CAA expansion

Money. Plain and simple. Maryland and Rutgers have the DC and NYC markets for big ten network. Vandy, while awful in football, brings academics and a nice thriving city to the mix. They would never want to leave the SEC as they make too much money and there isn’t a league they’d fit into otherwise. the playing hardball thing is interesting but uri and Richmond could careless if they are playing fcs football in the caa or elsewhere. Basketball is king there and if forced out would cut football or just move to another conference. The caa hand isn’t as strong as it used to be in that negotiation the like minded conference of teams close geographically that play the same sports would be nice… just a lot of work The MVC idea is interesting but I don’t think any of those caa teams want to travel to Murray Kentucky and normal Illinois every other year for football and yearly for other sports. Wm wants to be in a conference where they have alumni bases and pull students from(so they currently don’t like their proposed position in the new caa south) when I was in school the only Three caa teams that required a flight for us were NE (typically buses back), Uncw (occasionally buses back) and Georgia state. Busing saves so much money

Rob needs them to make the playoffs. looking at that list, FCS football is ruled outside the eastern time zone

    Story on CAA expansion

Let me restate that. Delaware prioritizes football. Those other schools do not. the travel is fine for the Olympic sports but hoops in a conference with the northern schools in the future is pretty unappetizing

    Story on CAA expansion

Delaware plays football So the a10 wouldn’t interested. Caa with 14 teams does not interest me at all. Too many teams with too many different agendas. Some are hockey school some are hoops. Some are co-op programs. Some are public schools. Others private. Now religious affiliated. Some play little league forkball some don’t sponsor football. Just too many things going different ways

    Story on CAA expansion

No idea. There’s no fit out there. A10 would be nice but that’s a pipe dream. Charleston is ahead of us there. stay glued with Delaware and WM. Football is the issue and holding us back.

    Story on CAA expansion

Their facilities are apparently pretty nice and willing to spend, see below. I don’t hate the addition. I hate the number of schools added. campbell seems to be the first athletics first school that was added. Stony Monmouth and the others are good academic schools. The caa is just a large hodgepodge of schools that play and value many different sports over a fairly wide geographic area. The divisions are going to split eventually He’s moved around a lot. Hopefully he has his spending Under control. But he did think outside the box and was a great marketer of Towson

    Story on CAA expansion

Right now I’d agree that’s it’s a bit better and deeper. Really no bad teams. All of the other caa fans seem to think it’s good for us since now we are in the north?? There’s gonna be a lot of empty seats on our division. As difficult as it is to win in trask and td, those are typically good environments and crowds. Even Wm has the next best crowd. Just not a fan of playing everyone equally. The 10 team caa with travel partners was pretty good.

    Story on CAA expansion

Yuck. Why keep adding teams to a one bid league?! Divisions do nothing for me except aid in travel costs. At this point having 7 and 7 might as well just add 3 more to each side and create two conferences.

$25 a game seems steep. Do they need to partner with a merchandiser like in the article? https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/lsu-oklahoma-among-schools-to-offer-customizable-jerseys-with-players-receiving-compensation/ would need to be customizable for programs like Towson. They can’t order like 40-50 of each or they’ll have excess inventory. How many would be sold? Maybe 50-100 with most coming from us online here

    General MBB thread 2021-22

Game doesn’t count in the ncaa record books so it’s meaningless. If they want to do this exhibition they should have a free admission game before the season starts to get people into the gym. Do it before or after a football game in late October, assuming they get more than 2500 for a football game anymore. I get the layoff between finals and Christmas but this team needed to put together a quality ooc schedule that challenges them. Instead we are stuck with Umbc. Morgan. Liu. Central Penn college With two ooc games last year now league games we had greater flexibility on the schedule. Other programs in our conference are playing 2-3 buy games

    Tyrrell Pigrome transfers to Towson

Everyone knows my opinion on Rob but transfers don’t work out all the time. Or even half, especially in football. Success rate is maybe 20 %? That’s what we usually are around so..?

    Second Practice Update

Injuries happen to everyone but Delaware was a talented veteran team that finally lived up to their potential. nice interview. And happy he’s back and worked through whatever was going on in April/May. Being the hunted is different than the hunter so let’s see how they react to it. with the unbalanced schedule we have what looks to be the toughest out of the top 5 teams

Press Box Interview with Steve Eigenbrot

3,750 people (including the band) looks awful in a 11,000 stadium. Can you imagine how bad it will be if they expand?! Lmfao. Make enhancements to the facilities but an expansion is wasteful and not needed
