Good. Wasn’t sure if a couple scholarships trickled in the past few years. Caa is a decent baseball conference with some good programs like Charleston Uncw and NE. It would be nice to compete in some of these games. Side note tiger alum Richie Palacios is off to a good start in AAA this season. 286 average with 5 extra base hits for the Columbus clippers

Jmu also spent a boatload of money on all athletic programs. Delaware has the past but is stagnant recently. Granted they have a much larger and older alumni base than we do. They also do not take losing well -and try to do something about it (unlike Towson. We have a team!(sort of))Woo!)) if the sunbelt breaks off east and west, (I know that they just realigned) Delaware and temple would be logical adds

The only 3 schools that would be leaving would be Delaware due to football and Charleston and Uncw to a hoops conference. Fcs football is pretty much dead as is whatever we are putting on the field recently so I don’t want to be in a conference if those 3 schools aren’t.

Ugh. Guess we are stuck in this conference for the long haul. Monmouth, sb and a&t were solid adds on the courts/fields. Howard obviously is a good academic institution but why did Joey d add 5 teams for the one that left?? 14 teams in a mid major conference is absurd. It’s going to hurt the better teams more often than not. This isn’t the sec or acc where we are adding teams to get 6-8 bids to the ncaa tournament or even larger fanbases and tv markets. Seriously what is the end game in all of this??

That’s a tough one. If Estrada comes back they are going to be tough again. Atleast offensively.

Agree. My concern is a lot of shots are threes. Like all of them. Would rather a 7-8 ppg d1 transfer than juco or non d 1 at this point. There’s enough transfers to get some quality

Is this going to be a situation where once a few top transfers find new places, the rest all fall into place quickly? Might be nice to keep the last one open for a-little and might have a higher caliber player “fall to us”. Or something like that, but who knows this is all so crazy now

I will say the new transfer portal finally puts to bed the “transfer u” stigma we received over the years. Everyone now has multiple players coming in and out each year

Had some legal issues and wasn’t happy here. A good split for both parties involved. Hopefully if he doesn’t come here.. he doesn’t head to one of the caa schools

Agreed. Never understood the amount of people here who get upset when we say coaches here should use this as a springboard. Win big, do a good job and move on. Spending long period of time at a school breeds complacency.

They are in the American. About 5 spots higher and now more open since uconn went back yo the big east. Sucks she’s leaving and we might be left with the assistant. She was always great off the court and involved with the special Olympics on campus

Lots of huskies in the portal. Wynter at Drexel. Hoftsra has players leaving and testing the nba. elon looks to be a mess. Monmouth was all seniors this year. Delaware losses 3 seniors but would be bringing back 3 good players. Uncw loses a lot but will reload. Charleston is gonna be tough…. Need to keep some of our players and hit the transfer lottery again. If so it could be a Charleston Uncw Towson Delaware top 4 and then everyone else.
