I think Hofstra is capable, despite their terrible half against Drexel. Depends on the matchup. If they get Kansas, they are done. But they are not getting a 16. Maryland? Maybe as a 14 or 15. Maryland beat them earlier in the season by just 11 at home. While the CAA might not have a VCU or a GMU, this group of high-majors is ripe for some first round and second round upsets.

Hoftsra on fresh legs could win a game. Don’t like their strategy and offense was very very bad first half.  They ran no sets. Sure 24 year old buie, pemberton and Jordan dangerfield can still make plays against Drexel. He subbed out starters up 20 most of second half with 1:07 left...

Didnt realize that. Wonder why the towson ticket office received and sold tickets in section 105 instead of behind the road bench?

Could have been where we were seeded when sold. Security is checking tickets first time down or if you look lost. If you look know you know where you’re going.. you prolly can sit anywhere.

Headed over after the del c of c game for a bit

If you think the CAA is bad (ranked 16th among 32 conferences), the old ECC was one of the worst conferences in the nation. We were as low-major as you could get. But once the lights turned on, that Devin Boyd, Terrence Jacobs and Chuck Lightening 1991 team was afraid of nobody. We just didn't have the size to compete with the big boys, so we would always end up just short. Same thing with the 1991-92 team that was basically the same squad minus Devin (injured), but with the addition of 6-3 Dunbar guard Scooter Alexander. We could hang with just about anybody but couldn't close. They won the last ECC title in 1992 over Hofstra, but could not go to the tournament because the league wasn't eligible due to all the defunctions. We have never even come close to sniffing a title since then.

Caa is bad for what it once was. Haven’t won a game in a long time. They won’t win one this year either

  3. Gameday! Let’s go tigers!! Hopefully we have some fab support today! Decent turnout yesterday for bottom 4 teams. Of course the two state schools had a much larger contingent and were louder, and they are gone.

The “Towson section” is behind the road bench.. soo..

Elon beats JMU at the buzzer. It was the only time in the game Elon had the lead. No sympathy for JMU, after they beat us at the buzzer last year.

Any chance Elon beats W&M tomorrow?

No. Elon has zero size. Got a lift from poser tonight. Their starting 5 who is undersized was in a boot tonight.

Uncw fans seem to like Burke. He maybe crazy and odd but his players play hard for him

Interesting. A grad transfer. 6-2 guard who is shooting 46.2% from three this season, but has only played 16 minutes per game in 12 games. Averaged 9.1 ppg last year but shot just 25.5% from long range and 41% overall. Had surgery on his hand this year on Feb. 1 and is out for the season. A point guard who I guess can slide over and play with Gibby in a combo role.

Umm not interesting 46% on 13 3's attempted... 22/90 in his career.

Lots of optimism here which is good. However everyone else will be playing their A game and I wouldn't be surprised if we're sent home early by NE due to defensive lapses and other mental lapses during the game. Hope I'm wrong but I can't see us winning it all. I would be happy with a win on Saturday. Good improvement during the past few games at least...

Agree. I do feel like if we can get past NE, we will win the Semis.

I'm going to get killed here (by FBS) but experience, good coaching and pedigree count towards something this time of the year. NE's last 5 CAA Tournaments:

    2019 3-0 Champs

2018 2-1 Lost in Finals in OT. Had a big lead against the home team and lost it. But royally screwed in that one with an AWFUL travel call with 15 seconds left.

2017 0-1 We beat them easily.

2016 1-1 Lost by 3 to Champ UNCW in the Semis

    2015- 3-0 Champs

Past is the past, but they did have Roland and Brace last year and Brace and Burquoest the year before.

Hoping that us playing two games there this year and Gibson playing some in HS, helps
