  1. What a great win. I didn’t think this team had it in them falling to 0-3 and trailing late at Uncw. Boy am I happy to be wrong.

Tribe were 7-0 at home this year and had won 11 straight going back to last year m. Second game in 2 days on the road in front of a good crowd today.  Workman’s game today.  Keep it going and hopefully now we have 4 consistent scorers!

seriously......its insane to me lol.   i'll post an original topic on it soon...and enjoy "my gloat" while i can.  we WILL lose again at some point, but i like this squad A LOT...and love how this coaching staff prepares and stresses defense and rebounding (give you a chance EVERY game)......   basketball is funny via miss/make results, and who knows what happens in a 1bid league.  but this team is young, but also built to make a run in a tournament setting.  6 ...in...a.row!!!!  maybe we can stop firing the coached and ADs ????

Young?! They start 3 seniors 2 of which are redshirt and until recently two sophomores. Also bring a 4th year junior off the bench

    Nice call!!

Now waiting to see all the negative nannys pick this win apart.

Negative nanny here. We were playing with house money today!  Huge win!  Defensive grinder against a good team especially at home!

Starters played well offensively. Bench was suspect

  4. This is going to be a tough one. They aren't the same old WM nerds as is in the past. They are gonna have a huge crowd for this game. Key is to defend the 3 and hopefully get 1 of the 2 twin towers in foul trouble.  they combined for 15-24 shooting 5-9 from 3  18 rebounds 6 assists and 12 blocks against JMU last night.

BTW, its impressive that the Hens defeated Hofstra especially since Ryan Allen was 0-9, including 0-8 from three.  The Hens were 3-20 from three.

Delaware is good. 1-5 there’s no one better in the caa. Unfortunately for them they have no depth/bench.

24-25 from the line From our offensive players. That’s crazy!

  6. Didn’t get to watch this one (sad I missed southern Baptist PBP). Tracked it until we got down 5 under 10. Looked now and surprised at the score! Not expecting that

Stats show we shot very well! Especially for a road game (yes they don’t play defensive welll but). Would have expected this to be a wider margin. Looks like we got killed on the boards.  Not a good sign but don’t want to comment as I didn’t see. Was it their long range shots or sanders foul trouble the reason that Elon ELON got 19 offensive rebounds?!

glad they played with some resolve and pulled it out late.

    5.5 road favorites.

Kiss of Death?!?  Elon has been one of the worst teams in the country, but aren't terrible at home. Have had a few close games there recently. Key is taking it down low on them and not over-rotating on defense. They shoot a ton of 3's.

Winning in the regular season is relevant in several ways. First, you want to avoid playing in the play-in games. Second, winning in the regular season should provide a degree of confidence as far as the tournament goes. But, other than that, a successful regular season record takes a back seat to the conference tournament  (other than a possible NIT bid)

Let’s be serious. An NIT appearance we would throw a parade. And Tim would give a life time extension.  1 seed gives you the most rest and “best schedule” in the tournament.

But any one seed talk for this team is laughable. We have atleast 2 guaranteed losses. Ne and Hofstra to end the year.  We have a road heavy end of the schedule. And any road games re tough for any team. If we finish 8-10, 9-9 that would be respectable considering they shit the bed to start caa play. Give me the “best teams excuse”. Solid teams win at home no matter the opponent.  Sorry This isn’t me hating this is jus facts

I'm inclined to believe this streak is a bit of "fool's gold".

It's always great to win and I give the guys credit for finding ways to pull out the W's.  However, we could win out the rest of the year, go 22-9 on the regular season and wind up laying an egg in the CAA Tournament and be left with NOTHING to show for a respectable season...….yet again.  I don't trust Skerry coached teams.  Until he proves otherwise, I don't think Skerry knows how to win when it really matters.

Please, please, please, make me eat crow, Pat.

Yeah or we could not win a game the rest of the regular season. And win the tournament. It’s the same every year. Skerry cycle.

I’m not a skerry fan but anything can happen. Depth if we can make it to the finals certainly helps

They did something to get him open. I couldn't tell exactly. That was terrible defense I admit and on the coaches for not adjusting. But they did something to get him open. Sorry, I'm not on the floor to see that.

It was losing the man and over rotating. Simple as that. He was their only person out there scoring and leaving him is inexcusable. Good thing it didn’t cost us.

Love that we have guys hitting fts.

Wish sanders had a floater, gets stuck between little jumper and drive where he comes up short or under the hoop to far

Agree save for the doubling part. As Skerry sort of explained, they did something different to get him open (some back screen or something) and we never adjusted. If you double a shooter from the perimeter, you just leave everybody else open and that's not a one-man team. Lewis usually beats us and averages 18ppg. They took out Wilson and to me that was the biggest difference in their comeback. He slowed them down on both ends and then they ran plays for Banks. He's only a 34% three-point shooter. Just got super hot.

Back screen?  He literally stood in the corner 3 straight possessions. We over rotated. He was wide open.
