Maybe if venting on the forums isn’t enough for ya next try calling 105.7 the fan or 98 rock to rant about firing the coach.

98 rock gave a nice shoutout to Tommy Flacco this morning for his six touchdowns

105.7 only covers the twerps and ravens.

TU2012 and Booger, you guys should hang out, you can get off the board and bash athletics over a nice lunch at Towson diner.

HAHA! Trying to oust real fans on here who won't settle for mediocre/status quo, that's great.

Maybe you and the other apologists on here can get off the board and go to Rogers Forge and kiss Robs' ass in person. Especially after this impressive win!

Agree,  but they have been spending well over $10mm a year on FCS football.  They built a 25k  seat stadium to watch the team play Robert Morris.

That's a different discussion entirely and their problem. Didn't that Booger fella say we spend 8.5 mill? its fairly close, especially when you consider the large gap in success between the programs. The FCS is just so bad recently, that there are really only just a few top teams (like 4-5).

You again? Please, I m sure you’ve never picked a football up in your life.

I have, not in college, but that should not discredit any facts from my previous post.

JMU is head and shoulders ahead of us in everything regarding football.  Do I wish that was the case? Hell no! I hate those dirty truck stop dogs. They are just bigger, faster, deeper, healthier and more talented right now. Towson playing it's best, like the second half of Maine, still would not be enough if JMU is on there B game. A win Saturday would be great, but it just won't happen.

We got smoked at home by a pedestrian Albany team and lost in OT to NOVA. If both of those were wins we would be talking about a seed for the playoffs and possibly an appearance at JMU's game-day this weekend.  Instead we need to win out, against all decent to solid teams, to go 8-4 and sneak into the playoffs.

You do remember that we played Florida a few weeks ago, right?  There ain’t nothing that JMU has that’s bigger faster and stronger than Florida! We moved the ball well against a superior SEC team.

Lol a team we lost 38-0 too who pulled starters and had vanilla play calling... lol!  We lost at home after a bye to Albany. ALBANY by 3 scores.

Jmu can name their score. 45-7

Truly, what would change if Towson Football was 6-1 instead of 4-3? Would big numbers of people really be showing up? Would media coverage be more demonstrative?  Would high school students be saying they want to come to Towson?  Would more alumni be donating money to athletics? It's third tier small college football in a pro football city with two FBS football teams already active in the state, and that hierarchy is never, ever changing.  Ravens, Terps, Mids, and everyone else.

They would be 6-1 and not 4-3. Winning is better than losing. This coaching staff doesn’t win enough

We definitely need a strong strategy to keep the game close. Especially with the injuries we face, this game will be a tough one. And ya know that the coaches will be working overtime for this game. What do we need to look forward to?

    Lol

A few more things. Speight was a D3 transfer from Susquehanna who was not eligible to play this year because he had to sit out as a transfer moving up (transfers moving down can play right away). So they got a special dispensation a few weeks ago and he's now eligible. He might actually be a factor, especially if there is another injury at running back.

Forgot another injured wide receiver: Caleb Smith. Wasn't sure of the specifics. Just because I'm apparently amazingly old, I went to school (for one year) with his father Rodney, who was a Hall of Fame nose guard and played in the Arena Football League.

About time a redshirt petition went our way

I'd like to see Speight become part of the RB rotation. Small sample size, but he looks more powerful than Feliz-Platt.

Overall, this was the performance we needed, but let's be honest: defenses the rest of the season will be MUCH faster than Bucknell's.

Also, glad that Clark was back out on the field.

Lol. Let’s be serious he was d3 for a reason. We aren’t as good as a 56-7 beatdown they laid today and we aren’t as bad a the 56-7 beatdown we will take next week.   Top 35-40 team 7-5 6-6.

Speak on it, because I agree 100%

Beating those raga muffins today does nothing to change the fact that there needs to be a sea change in the program, starting with the HC.

When your combined attendance in 2 weeks (with glorious weather) is 11K, the program is generating no buzz.

If we lose next week, I believe we have to run the table (Delaware, Elon, Stony Brook & W&M) to make playoffs.  Does anyone not wearing black & gold glasses honestly think that’s realistic to expect?

Come on man! He had a tough year. Injuries and stuff. Wait until next year. He’s an alum! Blah blah blah.

Until they are serious about athletics and at-least trying to compete for a conference championship every year, it will be status quo

Yikes, just saw the score.  Now fire Ambrose posts for this week at least. Glad they're streaming for free as someone said..

It’s bucknell, should be expected. Playing wel against a shitty team. Props to the team for not quitting. Powerhouse Albany and their qb squeezed by uri today. Their qb who lit us up went 10-26 for 140 at home.

Some here don’t have expectations except for fielding a team.  10k for two games combined on nice fall days with one being homecoming. 10k! Let that sink in

    next week will be U G L Y

Marketing is the least of the concerns.  You could be placing Hillary Clinton-sized ad buys and it would not move the needle.  Marketing is treating the symptom and not the disease, which is dumping millions of dollars into a football program that has no ROI for the University.  The students are apathetic, the alumni do not engage, and Baltimore City has not clue one that anyone other than "Joe Flacco's Brother" is on the team. But I am sure someone will educate us about the major value of being on the Sun Sports Section page 6, right next to the Oil Change and Massage Ads.

Agree and disagree. Football team is needs d it it’s fcs. Who wouldn’t make the playoffs here?! I mean if king rob leaves who would ever take on coaching duties?!

Yes,  because they realized having the gathering so far away from the stadium would not be a great idea.  Traditionally, this was held on the lower practice fields.

It took them until 5 days before to “realize that”... even for Towson that’s suspect at best.

But to my real original point what the hell is with the marketing

The new practice facility has necessitated a move to Lot 20. Lot 20 is primarily used for administration and Presidential events. Can’t cook or have people ruining the new rug.

Practice facility in the middle of campus? Huh. what are you talking about?

it was moved from middle of campus to a lot.

“Not expecting a large crowd “ and you Base that comment on what information ?

Based off the fact that they are moving a large tailgate event to the regular parking lot. One that had spots available last weekend 10 minutes prior to kick off... and the fact that if you look at the ticket map there are still a ton left there.

  16. Surprise surprise, looks like the aren't expecting a large crowd this weekend..  Another marketing fail... I'm all for the band and they work hard too (wish they would not play the same songs every year for over a decade now but), but its a homecoming football game, why is the only graphic not showing a Towson football player???!!!

Towson Athletics as a group, DO BETTER
