www.midmajormadness.com . Quite a good site for those interested (slower in off season)
https://www.midmajormadness.com/2018/7/31/17634742/the-cinderella-code-part-4-the-valley-of-elah-wichita-state-gregg-marshall-2013-final-four Interesting 6 part series on mid major final 4 runs.

Haha. I mean we are all pissed off about how far this program has fallen. No playoffs 4 straight years. 3 of 4 losing seasons
-
W @Morgan--- 12-3, God I hope so
L @ Wake --45-13 Solid/Decent FBS team, if we keep it within 30 and don't lose anyone to injury it will be considered a win.
L @ NOVA-- 49-10 Rarely win in suburban Philly, 1-5 since 2008 there while allowing 40.5 PPG. Bednarcyzk is still there, he will got 18-20 for 200 yards and 3 TDs while rushing for another.
W Vs. Citadel-- 20-17 Don't know much about them, by 5-6 against a tough schedule in 17 and playoffs/10 win season in 16.. at home sneak by with a close W
L Stony Brook-- 20-13 Road teams have typically dominated this series. Close loss, but can see us squeaking out a win. If we do win that will leave us at 3-2 and Tim Leonard will be outside Rob and Jared's offices, with 5 year extensions waiting to be signed.
W Vs. WM -- 30-20 Seems like they have fallen off a cliff even further than we have. They are a basketball school now😉
W @Albany-- 24-23 They are in our conference?!?! Who would have thought after a 5 year hiatus Ambrose always wins one that we don't see coming.. CAA sets up wonderfully for the Danes but they overlook struggling Towson
L @ Delaware-- 27-10 Revenge on Hens minds and reloaded team with Rocco.. 3 road wins would be tough for the tigers
L Vs. Maine-- 18-14 While we pull an unexpected win each year, we also have an unexpected loss. Maine always plays us tough
L @ Elon-- 27-20 Solid team with a second year coach who took them to the playoffs last year. By this point Simpson will already be hurt and we will be on RB 3/4 and QB 3.
L Vs. JMU-- 56-6 HAHAHAHA enough said, but worth noting, this will be a home game for the Dukes.
So 4-7 / 5-6 with another year not making the playoffs.

We've had some bad breaks and injuries but you can only keep saying that for so long. He knows it's time to put up or shut up.
exactly.
as the old saying goes.."if you have 4 qb's, you really have none"

If Baltimore does support a college, it is Maryland. Terp Talk on the radio....Keith from Terrapin Times on all of the talk shows regularly. Towson is and will always be second fiddle. The goal should be not be Third Fiddle.
LOL. Baltimore is not a great sports town for anything. Unless a team is REALLY REALLY REALLY good.
Crotch Piece said about something for donors.. that would be nice. they used to give cool items back with waddell, replica of SECU, replica champ ring, football season review DVD. That has stopped, but doubtful it would make a difference.
Bottom line is we need to win and put an excited product out there. Both the styles of football and basketball are obsolete and frankly boring. Sorry, it needs to be said.
They need to let people, and mostly students know that there are games. I would said 75-85% on campus have NO clue when football plays a home game. They used to do black and gold fridays back at the tail end of when I was a student, but again that was with a competent AD who thought big and not in the SOT mindset that we (along with a ton of posters on here) are under.

Haha. Though I would not mind a new football coach and staff. Program is stale and the Ambroses have run the course in Tiger Town.
Removal of the track at Unitas and change the color of the seats at SECU
Better marketing/promotion
Enhance the game-day experience (as stated in the basketball thread)
Better fundraising

loyola, umbc, morgan.. yawn. Sure going to the bahamas is cool, but we arent playing anyone there. 3 home games.

The Palestra is the perfect place for the tourney to happen and would give the conference some of the credibility it currently does not have. Perfect size historic and THE place to watch a college basketball game. Forget Cameron, Phog Allan, Hinkle or any other place. The Palestra has hosted more NCAA basketball games than any other venue and it still stands head and shoulders above all others!
size yes, historic yes, not the best location for the conference, but hey the commissioner stated attendance isnt a factor.. haha

MEH, another extremely uninspiring slate, especially at home. Atleast the young guys wont be thrown to the wolves.. GW and Vermont are the good ones, hopefully they are H and H for next year as well. January non conf game is odd, but must mean that the saturday following is @/home vs JMU

Um, yes, I watch basketball, by virtue of my season tickets to TU, which I’ve had for some time. No need to be condescending. I truly don’t care that this building has no sideline seats, as I don’t sit on the sideline in any event.
Finals have averaged over 5K? I’ll research what the attendance was at the finals games at Royal Farms, but, assuming arguendo you’re right, I fail to see the big difference. Fewer people in attendance (though not thousands fewer) in return for less empty seats. Fair trade off to me.
The only point I’m willing to perhaps concede is that this arena isn’t in the best neighborhood. Of course, last time I checked, Royal Farms Arena is in Baltimore City, which had what, 340 or so murders last year (far more, I believe than DC had). Call me myopic, but I would like to think DC will have plenty of police presence, to ensure the safety of guests.
Well, feel free to excoriate me, but I’m going to go to the tournament (at least TU games) & keep an open mind.
Feel bad for you then. So many basketball games sitting behind the hoop? Sorry I just don’t agree, a basketball stadium needs seats along both sidelines.
The ne final didn’t draw well in Baltimore but Towson Hofstra Drexel And ne could host the champ that they are playing in and still not sell it out
-
It’s the conferences premier event. Finals have averaged over 5k since the core of the conf left. But let’s play it in front of 3400 fans while not in tv!
prima Donna? Seriously?! Do you watch basketball? Most stadiums have 4 sides and seats on those at the very least the baselines are empty like Kaplan arena these are the best views of the game as well This has no sideline seats on one whole side of that arena..
This arena is literally in the middle of a bad part of se dc/md
joe d is a clown and is in way over his head as seen time and time again.

1 hour ago, Blazer49 said:What a joke. Gives you an idea as to the vision the commissioner’s office has for the future of basketball in the league. A 4,500 seat venue? To me that means they see a continued decline in the conference.
Can’t wait for the release in a few years that Calvert Hall High Scholl will host the tournament starting in 2026.
Blazer is right. The more you look at it the more embarasing it is.
4500 is way to small. Comp tickets, sponsors and band will take up close to 1-7 of that.
Arena is a joke. Doesn’t have seats along on sideline! Bad neighborhood no hotels or bars around it. Give me a bigger arena that can potentially fit 8k when.m needed for a championship.
All conference tournaments are empty because they sell books to all sessions. Two games. Most don’t stay or get there for both
-
mixed feeling on this.
Pros:
True neutral site
Will be brand new
Closer to Towson
Cons:
Very small arena size (7,000 would be preferred)
Area around it does not seem to built up

Wake will now be 31.5 point favorites instead of 35..

Agree on everything said in recent posts. They weren’t skerry type of players but were getting tons of playing time and shots.
Again you could see the disconnect and frustration a mile Away with these two. Like damion lee and the others who have left/quit.. don’t let the door hit ya on the way out. Give me guys who want to be here and have Towson in their blood like Marcus, jd, Eddie, mike and tj

ding. they do have a d3 game tied in with that tournament... the other teams are of the lesser quality too. but the bahamas in november sounds nice.
hopefully the only non d1 we play

11 hours ago, mat1992 said:. Really don't need a 6-10 or 6-11 player in the CAA though that would be a nice bonus if they can play.
exactly.
Lets remember these guys have not played college hoops yet. Not expecting a high scoring team this year.

+1.
Fondest memory was watching the Semi-Final game against EWU there. Entire place packed with Tiger fans, who went nuts after the frazier qb sneak to win it

LOL. Have you seen who is leading the program?! We have zero branding because our programs dont win.

dont let the door hit ya on the way out. good riddance. I view transferring as quitting, obviously without extenuating circumstances (family, health, coach change, no playing time).
would like martin to go to maryland, gives me more hate for the turtles

But the fact that the AD and others needed to step to convince the coach to make the changes is beyond troubling.
We are stuck in the 90s with this program. Fullbacks a 4-3 defense
