Marcus and Walden were both pk recruits
-
Walden. Amayo Jones The last two maybe more combos but still
biggest pg fail was frank mason in his history class ?
-
The lack of pg has always baffled me. As great as our graduation rate has been under skerry (100% and kudos to him ) we have lost a lot of players throughout the years
Hence why I’m big supporters of players who stick around mike Eddie jd and tj. The only 4 year players.
Bur id kill for a 4.5 assist a game pg
I do think Zane, if he sticks around, can be a very special player, maybe best all time (stat wise)

Keith tries but he's too short at 6-5. Alex is the best post defender by far though he was banged up today. Not sure if he would have made a difference. I would have used Tunstall more against Phillips though Dennis was not good today either.
I was talking about when he posted up. He literally camped out right outside the circle and just bullied Justin.
We have 3 10 point second half blown leads. 2 on the road to bad teams and one at home. Without those...guess what, we would be in first...
-
True about gorham. Post d is all about the work before they get the ball. Alex actually gets good positioning but then doesn’t go straight up. The dude with the long hair just got so deep in the paint that when he got the ball he could just lay it in
-
Embarrassing
Eddie and Starr had the ball exclusively at the end. Why wasn’t it with the two best players?!
We have no depth, don’t rebound or defense anymore
gorham makes jd look like a competent defender
fts were horrific this game but overall on the year we have been very good. 71.5 is highest in skerry era, including a team that has four McGlynn
obviously rock bottom was 1-31 but the last 7.5 days have been the worst since that year imo
-
I would rather us not play nationally ranked teams as that does nothing for preparing us. Need quality mid majors.
-
Since I’m always so negative on here.. I say no. It’s tough because we are pretty good now and it’s difficult to schedule. We would need to do a 2 for 1 but not many local big time schools play any road games. Maryland Georgetown play jokes of a schedule
maybe we could get penn state?
I’d like some quality mid majors. Mount, Robert Morris, bucknell, Monmouth and a 10 schools. I am definitely in the minority but the coppin umbc morgan Loyola games do nothing for me
-
Justin has shown a lot. And when get plays th 4 he will be better. Defense is a concern though with him though.
I know I’m in the minority here in liking Eddie and mike, but Eddie does alittle of everything and every team needs that. Also atleast in own opinion he has never committed a foul

Im sorry, but losing 4 seniors that have all started 30+ times in their career as well as 38 ppg, 15 rebounds a game and 7 assists
not easy to replace in one year. Unless you are Kentucky

C is not unknown; Sanders (Duquesne transfer-potential 12 ppg & 7 boards guy-vast upgrade); Solomon U (incoming 3-Star 6’8 recruit-had offers from the likes of Georgetown). McNeil will not be the starting SG, as that will be ZM’s spot. Gorham returning. With him, Sanders & Solomon U=vastly improved frontcourt over this season.
This doesn’t even factor in Betrand, Dottin & Drayton, not to mention the 2 open ships we still have.
Obviously, time will tell, but I stand by my assertion & I’m not looking through Tiger colored glasses-I’m much more of a glass half empty guy
You are proving my point.. we have no clue what sanders will do. And the frosh, lets be serious there is a good chance he plays minimally for the majority of the year. Skerry brings them along slow. Nothing wrong with that. Mike Zane davis tj all come To mind and grew because of that. Hence why Ingram leaving was disappointing
I mean everyone is really high on this soloman kid but wasn’t everyone on phrophete?? He could score in hs and people were penciling him in for 7-10 points a night..

Ummmmm. Next year will be a step back for the program. Hell I think even football will have a better year than hoops (and football is BAD)
pg-unknown
sg-mcneil
sf-zane
Pf-gorham
c-Alex/unknown
freshmen rarely contribute to skerrys team and you think relying on one at point and center along with McNeil, who lets face it is not a caa/mid major player, will make this team better??
this was to be the year guards and wings galore and 4 seniors
caa has and always will be based on guard play we can’t just play bully ball with bigs it has not worked for us before and will not work in the future
-
No Daly and no Anderson for Delaware that’s 60 minutes and 34 points 11 rebounds and 6 assists a game.
No excuses in this one. But I fear that an egg laying is upon us...
-
Last year I bought from Ticketmaster full books for 75 (I’m a caa and mid major junkie) but they are beyond strict on sitting in your section
this year may get from the school just to be lower down.
Its a fairly nice arena. Big and cavernous. Let men know if you have any other questions on anything down there

Well deserved. Woulda been nice along with two large comeback wins..

i wonder if Prophete will be back. He is hardly a significant contributor this year. I just wonder if there’s a spot for him next year.
Frankly, as long as ZM is back, I think we could survive any other departure. We will already have a ton of new faces next season as is (Sanders, the Duquesne transfer, Drayton, who is a redshirt this year, the 3 incoming freshman, plus there are still 2 scholarships open. That’s 7 new players next year, unless he sits on one of the open ships and uses it for a transfer, who would have to sit out next season).
No. But it’s easy to see the frustration this player has with skerry. Every single game. Hope I’m not right because he is a good player and will be better

2 hours ago, TSU88 said:I can say this-I’ve been to all home games, with the exception of 2, & one thing that strikes me is I frequently see a few of our players gesturing in an animated fashion & seemingly jawing at Skerry when they are taken out of the game. It might be heat of the moment stuff, but I don’t see that similar behavior with players on the opposing teams, although I concede I’m not watching the opposition sideline.
It really does beg the question in my mind whether some sort of disconnect exists between Skerry & some of the players
I don’t think so. I’m harder on skerry than most but that all seems heat of the moment things.
We don’t have leader on the court which is an issue
also I can definitely see atleast one player who is significant transferring after the season...

There was no intensity or urgency. His first season they gave it their all they just were not very talented.
Elon can shoot and score but we played like crap offensively too. Yeah we missed a lot of close ones early but we took some awful shots
-
This was the worst home effort in the skerry era. They were not giving it their all in the first half.
we played a similar team Thursday so the scouting isn’t totally different
wastes opportunities as usual. Elon is behind pathetic on the road
-
I’d like us to press but that seems like it’s dallen by the wayside.

22 minutes ago, mat1992 said:Glad you are not our coach. How about the criticism came because it made no sense to do it in the first half as we took the lead late because we pressed or the second half with a lead? We hacked that kid Harrison because he was in the lane. It wasn't like he was 30 feet away from the basket. But the circumstances were totally different. We were down most of the game last night and if they hacked that big a few times to send him to the line AFTER they were in the bonus, I'd have no problem with it. I was against putting Hofstra in the double bonus because they had great FT shooters and we are foul-prone. Oh yeah, we also had a lead that we pissed away due to turnovers. The hack a kid is BS in college unless you feel desperate and you have no other way of coming back. BTW, Shaver isn't that dumb. He didn't have Harrison in that long.
Object of the game is to score more than your opponent. Getting more possessions helps that
hofstra attempted 1 ft the last 5 minutes of the game and that was an and one with foreman and we hadd a total of 17 team fouls so..it would have slowed momentum at that point
you don’t have to agree with the strategy and thought of it. It’s not illegal and completely in the realm of the Rules Lon Krueger used if effectively against a top 5 team the other night and guess what? Went from down 2 to up 5

Dennis has been great at erasing mistakes late in games. Last two years he’s saved 4 games or so with blocks in the final seconds. Not to jinx him but he hasnt missed a shot since Oakland. I know he doesn’t take many but still.
Also so for everyone who called me out posting about how I suggested we foul gustys and win the Hofstra game... we fouled their backup big intentional and players had orders to do it again. And he missed front end of 1 and 1 under 4 which helped us steal a possession

Nice comeback. Alex Thomas mvp (not named Zane) of the game Picked up 3 fouls alone on knight. and played some solid d against him

So jmu has canceled their games this week due to their team being infected with mumps..and they smoked ya on Saturday...
but in all seriousness it’s spread through salvia and coughing/sneezing. Hopefully all out players are doing ok
