  1. Agree with everything said mat. I was there and that first 30 minutes was as impressive as a skerry team has looked against d1 program.  18 assists. Shot well. Starr had an amazing game.

Only complaint was all the fouls especially in the second half. Refs needed to let them play and run the clock out sheesh.

Well that and the fact we are still selfish team on 2-1s.  Jordan had two bad takes when he should have passed to Morman on the break

  2. what do you expect? Skerry is an awful x and o coach. everytime he calls time outs late in games to draw up a play, I cringe.  Better off letting them play.  But deshaun and the front court were awful  zero production. and a ton of turnovers.

this game i expected to be a loss. top 4 c-usa team on the road with a team transitioning their style.

Also can we ever get a point guard?? its like football looking for a qb.

  3. everyone is high on charleston because they are head and shoulders above everyone in the league.

2 bids for CAA is laughable, only real shot is C of C to do work OOC/CAA play and then lose in CAA final *they play a  good OOC sched.

There are 4 Tiers in the CAA this year:

Tier 1. 1. Charleston--return everyone, good coach and physical style of play

Tier 2. 2. Elon-- Return pretty much everyone, well coached and incredibly balance

              3. Hofstra-- wright foreman is back along with gustys and pemberton and buie back from injury--negative is their coach

              4. Towson

              5. UNCW-- Still have cacock and talley

Tier 3. 6. NE- always good and well coached

              7. Drexel-- young and showed signs last year

             8. WM--lost a ton

Tier 4; 9. Delaware-- Daley and what else?

              10. JMU-- Lost a ton of upperclassmen, may be a good thing?

  4. The defending and excuses being made for Ambrose and the staff is just sad. He is a below average coach with a below average record. Udel and Elon fired coaches last year and are having very good years with rookie coaches at their schools.

Maybe we squeek another one out against uri with a late double did it rally. 3-8 again

  5. Rob and company are a joke.  He rode the coattails of Terrance west. He is a buffoon and needs to go. Well below 500 coach who couldn’t do anything with great resources

600 seems high. I had 2 tickets every year after graduating from 2012 season on. Dropped to 1 this year. Used to have 15-20 friends/alum come to games and tailgate. Now lucky to have 4-5.

Been to Navy umd x2. Wvu ecu UConn frisco and a bunch of can road games. Haven’t missed a home game since 2012 and only once since I became a student in 2008. Next week I will not be in attendance

For you stats geeks-we’ve scored 7 TD’s in 6 games. We’ve scored 72 points in 6 games, for an average of 12 ppg. We have not had a game where we’ve scored more than 2 TD’s in a game. Single highest scoring output in a game this year-17 points

embarrassing,  and that falls directly on the bozo brothers.  this team and program is a joke thanks to those two clowns.   also richmond gave up 160 in their first 5 games... we score 3 on them at home.

That's his job.  I do not give Rob credit for taking responsibility for the mess he has made of a program where he was given absolutely everything he has ever asked for and has taken us from the Penthouse, to the Outhouse.

He's a few drunken nights over at Joey Chui's to be called the Pat Kennedy of Towson Football.

    excellent post

  8. This program is a joke.  The Ambrose's should both be fired.  Awful coaching year after year and another losing season. Fan support is worse than ever, overall talent seems to be lacking.  All this after making the championship. what boost did that have??

Dont have to look to far, in the past 4 years:

2014- Loss at home(opening night after the National Champ Trip) to partial scholarship Central Connecticut State. CCSU finished 3-9 that year                                                               - Need help from a blocked punt for TD, and punt return for TD to beat lowly Delaware State 21-7.  DSU finished 2-10 and gave up 69 points to Morgan State.                                        -Loss at URI 13-7 (who was in the process of transitioning out of the CAA and had lower scholarship #s) The offense puts up less than 200 yards.  URI finishes season 1-11, first win in 15 games.

2015- Much better year. Good bounce back                                                                                                                                                                                                          - Have to overcome half time deficit, and hold on late, to limited scholarship Holy Cross at home.                                                                                                                              -Lose 17-13 to 4-7 Elon, costs us playoff birth

2016-  -Lose at Ivy League member Dartmouth. They finish 4-6 and 1-6 in IVY Play.

-Need a 50+ yard field goal at the buzzer and a furious rally to top lowly URI by 1.  URI finishes 2-9 and has a game where they lose 84-7 to JMU.

    Series vs St Francis

    2012- 46-17

    2015- 35-20

    2016- 35-28

2017- 16-14 last second field goal.

Have they gotten better?? yes, but how worse have we gotten since 2013?!?   Since Frisco we are 17-21.

Rob and Co need to fired, end of story

I picked up the first college hoops mag and it has us fourth. That's about right I guess with four returning starters but two of the top three scorers gone (JD, Moto). Terrible write-up though has Morman and as nice one-two punch at the point? Also has Morman as a sophomore in write up but a senior below. Interesting stat has Morsell at 51.7 percent inside the arc should maybe show he should not settle for as many threes.

The top three from Lindy's are Charleston, UNCW and Elon.

write up may be off but I cant disagree with that 1-4.  I can see us finish anywhere between 3-6 realistically possibly 2, but our early caa schedule is beyond brutal

I'll be there +3. Sitting at 50yd line behind TU bench about 20 rows up.

Be careful about sitting too close. Those first couple rows have terrible sight lines and are considered obstructed views. You'll be staring at the back of TU backups all game.

had the same seats in 2011 when we played there. no problem seeing 90% of the field and when a play came to the near sideline most of the players scattered.  we dont travel with 75 players plus a ton of staff like FBS so it wasnt an issue,

From your computer to God's ears!  There will be a SOT type game there somewhere so I will say 8-3 and that should get us into the postseason!

    exactly.

Tried one of these last year and well like the season, it was a disaster.

OK, it is a slow time, but let's get some talk going on the upcoming season. I will start by prognostication:

    Sept 2 vs Morgan St. - TU Win 38-10                  W  27-17**

    Sept 9 at U Maryland - TU Loss 21-17                 L  38-7

Sept 16 at St. Francis - TU Win 42-17                 W 24-21  One should hope

Sept 23 At Stony Brook - TU Win 28-24               W  21-20 (we usually win there and they always win here)

    Sept 30 vs. Villanova - TU Win 24-14                   L 31-20 **

Oct 14 - vs Richmond - TU Win 17-16                 L 42-39  Based off the past that neither team can stop each-other **

Oct 21 At New Hampshire - TU Win 42-21          L 34-24  UNH makes the playoffs based off this game!

Oct 28 vs Delaware - TU Win 35-17                    L  9-3   Last year was a disaster**

Nov 4 at Elon - TU Win 28-17                             W 31-17  One should hope...**

    Nov 11 at W&M - TU Loss 24-21                        W 26-24 GW FG

Nov 18 vs Rhode Island - TU Win 42-14            W 31-10  One should hope... but last year..

    TU 9-2 on the season

    Your thoughts?

So I see 6-5 and 4-4 CAA.  Just enough for another "next year status quo"  Hopefully I am wrong and one or two of those L's turn to W's

Fun Fact we play 5 teams with new coaches to their schools in 2017.

Other Fun Fact- in 2016 only 3 coaches in the CAA had a losing record going into 2016 and 2 are not back in 2017
