Nice. Have to check out a game. At least someone's winning in bball..

Not surprising. Good for him..

Had no idea he was at Howard after the UVA fiasco. I'll reserve comment for another day....

He appears to do everything the right way in terms of running a clean program, a great family man who does outstanding philanthropic/charitable work and a guy with a charismatic personality. I would LOVE to see him be successful here......with success being defined as post-season W's. I just think he either gets out-coached too often and/or isn't a great X's & O's guy.
Good post. Want to see him succeed and is an affable individual. But from day 1, I saw that he just isn't an X's and O's guy which is needed in this league...

Long season.. Long live Skerry ball!!

Wow. He must have been huge since he makes 50 look like a dwarf..lol

Well, I predicted 41-10 and wasn't too far off. This loss didn't help our cause and honestly, I expect us to be left out after that performance. If we make it in, do not see us going far anyway. Better season than I predicted so hats off to the young guys and staff....

But not surprising. Turnovers, lack of shooting, FT woes. Sounds like typical Skerry ball to me. But I recall someone saying the latter was just due to UVA's tremendous D...

For some reason this made me chuckle... Btw.. Is that 50 cent in your picture? lol

If we lay an egg and lose in spectacular fashion we are out. A respectable loss or win gets us in with help from Flacco name and play this year..

Found out Elon just opened a new arena with UNC playing them in the opener. I remember UNC playing Charleston on the road (and lost to the Cougars). Why is it that a true blue blood in UNC will play in state road games, even against private schools, but UMD will rarely play us (once in the last 20 years) and never on the road? We can't even get AAC or A10 team to play us at home.
Brought this issue up in chat. Mind you that UNC played at WOFFORD for you know what sakes. Shame we can't get Terps here at home....

More of the same woes under the Skerry era.. smh

Ambrose isn't going anywhere until contract is up. Do not forget we were anticipated to be in the bottom to middle half of the CAA. Even if we lose next 2 games this team outperformed initial expectations (gulp..). Sucks we lost 2 but too early to give up now...
-
Not surprising... It's UMD..

This is laughable. The HOOS will have something to prove after that 1st round debacle last year. Just about everyone is returning with even more experience. Bennett will have the boys ready. Wish both teams could win since I support both but it will probably be a very nasty affair among the likes of 70-30... Almost tempted to go in person.

Not sure what happened at end but we left too many points by settling for field goals instead of TDs early on.Defense is slightly better but still gives up big plays. Need to win at least 2 games for dancing now. Oh well..

Was thinking the same thing. He just started playing and have barely half a season under his belt. He'll be back.

We know how much ESPN loves JMU, as they've done GameDay from their campus multiple times now. If that game has big conference/playoff implications, perhaps they can be lured to Baltimore?
Now THAT would get Towson students excited and involved.......I think (hope?).
Taking a look at the FBS matchups for that weekend (11/17) there isn't one "heavyweight" game on the schedule right now that ESPN should think is a "no-brainer" for GameDay. In fact, there are a lot of snoozers that weekend.
Get that bump-on-a-log AD of ours on the phone with Bristol, right now!!
Wishful thinking with our apathetic fan base. Would be cool though..

For once, we agree.. lol

Tough crowd to please. Is #10 not enough especially not being ranked at all earlier? lol
-
We are exactly where we should be. Our caliber of work isn't worthy of a top 5 team (not even 10 at this point but close). We have 1-2 good wins against good competition. Nova is tanking like Matt said so that doesn't help. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and just keep winning...

Good win. Why is he contradicting himself about the polls saying we have a chip on our shoulders and not being in top 10 but then who cares about polls? Lol. No worries...
Today’s ugly loss to NDSU (story)

Agree here. He does not make good adjustments and has just one preferential style of play. Attack and smash. Will not work in this era. Every game I see I dread when we have to set up in a half court offense. The whole argument about we are better now than years back has run its course. You couldn't get any worse than the PK era and 1-31. Only option WAS to go up. Someone mentioned about Jimmy and Joes (guessing top recruits?). You think UVa has McDonald all Americans coming in and out the door? With the exception of maybe 1 or 2 those teams consist of your average kids putting in hard work and being disciplined by a coach who knows how to adapt. Also helps that he knows the Xs and Os of the game. Fundamentals are key in this sport and that is why Bennet teams do so well. Skerry lacks in that department unfortunately and I would be surprised if we haven't hit that plateau we speak of...
