This is all speculative. Too early to see where this is heading in terms of candidates.

Look at where these FCS head coaches come from. I took the CAA for example. Since the $$$ will be available and we play well (my guess is at least $400,000), we can also get a current FCS coach. Tough to get an FBS coordinator unless it's Group of Five, since the P5 guys are making high six figures and low 7s.

    Colonial Athletic Association
Albany Great Danes    Greg Gattuso    2014    Maryland assistant head coach & defensive line coach (2012-2013)
Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens    Ryan Carty    2022    Sam Houston State offensive coordinator & quarterbacks coach (2018-2021)
Elon Phoenix    Tony Trisciani    2019    Elon defensive coordinator (2017-2018)
Hampton Pirates    Robert Prunty    2018    East Carolina defensive coordinator & defensive line coach (2017)
Maine Black Bears    Jordan Stevens    2022    Yale assistant head coach, co-defensive coordinator & defensive line coach (2019-2021)
Monmouth Hawks    Kevin Callahan    1992    Colgate assistant head coach & defensive coordinator (1991)
New Hampshire Wildcats    Ricky Santos    2022    New Hampshire associate head coach & quarterbacks coach (2020-2021)
Rhode Island Rams    Jim Fleming    2014    UCF defensive coordinator (2012-2013)

Stony Brook Seawolves    Chuck Priore    2006    Trinity (CT) head coach (2000-2005)
Towson Tigers    Rob Ambrose    2009    UConn offensive coordinator & quarterbacks coach (2006-2008)
Villanova Wildcats    Mark Ferrante    2017    Villanova assistant head coach & offensive line coach (1999-2016)

Nothing.  We just have people on this board who see things in black and white.  He's been deserving of criticism in the past.  This season, not at all.  That's not putting someone on a pedestal.  That's actually analyzing a situation as it happens rather than bringing in prejudiced thinking.

You seem like an intelligent guy but to say the coach has no bearing on their team’s performance  is pretty asinine. Give him the praise for winning and having a great season but you can’t ignore the postseason slumps. If anything, I question whether he had the team mentally prepared at the start of these past few games where we were down. Looked off and not prepared at all. Give him credit for the adjustments later on in the game but too little too late. This season at least showed he is capable of making changes in game and his approach to winning games overall..

  3. Well I kind of predicted we would lose again in the first or second round so not entirely bummed about it. Been a big critic of Skerry ball in the past but can’t say nothing really bad about him this season. Remarkable turnaround from last year and tied for the regular season title. Give kudos when it’s due. Yes, they started slow these past two games and continued the trend of past teams. But man, no one expected the team to do what they did this season. On to the NIT where maybe we can get a win…

8 hours until inbounds for potentially the most strange Towson athletics scenario in terms of implications that I can remember. Perhaps one ups baseball winning title while being cut. Surprised it's not getting more local and national media attention, but I guess we better get used to playing the most important minutes of the season in an arena filled with empty seats for next weekend. Will expect there to be some sort of quality control inspection at the beginning and questions on personal fouls, time left on shot clock, etc. Very important first possession, Solomon's not here but let's double check what basket we're shooting on. Can't panic if we get down double digits though, I don't expect hens to just rollover because they've played two poor games in a row and will want to build some sort of momentum before tournament. But more motivation for them will be that nobody wants us on their side of bracket right now.

National media attention for a subpar mid major conference? Highly doubtful. Happy to be in this position but we have to be realistic. I'm just hoping for one tourney win this time around. Anything less is unacceptable imo..
