Horrible news, a true pioneer in the expansion and mainstreaming of the sport. RIP
-
What about the economic impact of loss of corporate sponsorship and alumni donations? This will very likely be the impetus to “regionalization “ of conferences and very possibly a melding of the upper tier of FCS and the G5.

Hah! Those are big words bro.

Headging killed us in the first half. Terrible decision to continue to give up dunks and layups to an inferior NE front line.
-
Two starters hurt the team tonight. One has been in a huge slump since a very poor effort against Regent. He has been hurting the team with lackluster D , poor shooting and unforced turnovers. When Pat put him back in (down 4) I was screaming Nooo ...at the TV. He promptly made a bad pass over Gibson’s head and out of bounds. Should’ve won tonight.

MBB gets 3rd seed; Squeezes by NE 75-72 in finale
RundaPower replied to mat1992's topic in Tiger Basketball
For NE...PS, please stop hedging! When you play good on-man defense , you don’t need to hedge. Gut wrenching watching layups and dunks being given up for no reason. Also, run the offense through Sanders . NE has no answer , gonna take a patient team to execute it. -
MBB beats Hofstra 76-65 to break their 8-game winning streak

What is your definition of a “strong conference “? -
Yes, You don’t get to Oak Hill by just being an athlete. From what I’ve seen of him, he looks good around the basket , with a mid range game.
-
Absolute horrific effort last night by this team. This game shows me that there is a lack of respect for themselves, their teammates and the program.

MBB wins seventh straight; takes out UNCW 77-66
RundaPower replied to mat1992's topic in Tiger Basketball
Expect for the fact that UNCW hasn’t invested in the resources needed to compete for titles. No practice facilities or nutrition station. Are they paying COA? Their 12 fans on the message boards are passionate, but is the administration? -
Gotta play cleaner than last night. Limit turnovers and stop hedging. Hedge always gives up the backside dunks.
-
He doesn’t have to prove anything. Good luck Shane!

MBB holds on to beat UNCW 67-60 to break streak (story up)
RundaPower replied to mat1992's topic in Tiger Basketball
Look, the UNCW game was poorly coached and poorly executed by the players. There are critical mistakes being made over and over again that a going to prevent this team from playing for a CAA Championship. Those things have to be corrected by PS and fast. However, I’m most concerned about the overall Basketball IQ of the team at this point in the season. -
Agreed, ETiger has Given more than his share of time and money to support this university.

Football to play North Dakota State in 2021
RundaPower replied to TuTigers2012's topic in Football Talk
Dumb move. Only way it can help us is with FCS recruits. -
If feel you...bro

Timberlake has not looked good on D. Last night he gave up a really bad looking overplay onthe baseline off of the wing in the first half. Agreed, Turnstalls foul late in the game was inexcusable. Sanders has been playing well on both ends of the floor. I thought it was as bad an interior defense night as I have seen from a Coach Skerry team.

Long break = final exams

Let’s be honest, Towson played a terrible game last night. Back to 4 standing around and watching 1 chuck up a shot as the clock is winding down. Again, shot selection with time/score show a lack of focus/control and low basketball IQ. Watch again and again how the ball is turned the ball over in critical 1 point situations ....UNFORCED ERRORS! Examples: Timberlake turnover(got caught in the air and had to make a pass to no one) in the Vermont game ......then the wheels fell off. Last night, game under 20 seconds (?) with Towson inbounding against a full court press, and FoBbs catches the inbounds (remember he has 33 points and is the best FT shooter on the team) without direct pressure and proceeds to throw a cross court pass the Tunstall ... which is behind him and bounces out of bounds! Turnover! That about sums it up for me.

Watch how the Oline develops this Spring. The depth chart should tell us more about what kind of QB we’Ll need.

MBB finishes Charleston Classic with 76-64 win over St. Joe's
RundaPower replied to mat1992's topic in Tiger Basketball
Yep, some of these posters are negative to the point that is ridiculous. No facts or logic to support their positions. -
Very proud of the team! Congratulations and onward toward national respect.

When we win Saturday! Thanksgiving weekend we will host a first round game. The CAA/Towson bid will come into play. Also, Monmouth can’t host , they don’t have lights in their stadium.

Who says we are not a lock? Some kid living in his moms basement that writes for Hero Sports or CSM?
