Canto was solid in the goal. It is a . small sample size but so far Towson has adopted well to the shot clock. Our middies looked a step quicker than the Hopkins middies. A great team win. I think may have 3 UA All Americans while Hopkins probably has 25 UA All Americans on their squad. A great win.
Shows you how fake those UA and All American teams really are. Lacrosse recruiting is fake. Coaches recruit helmets and height. The old guard of lacrosse wants to protect the Calvert Halls and make sure those kids are AA’s etc. Towson is just tougher and more athletic than Hopkins. They are a D3 school.....

Don’t forget the Pitt transfer, Street! 6’2 195 and fast

Fundamentals are terrible. Quite possibly the worst I have ever seen at the collegiate level. No understanding of how to play the game on offense or defense. You can see that some of these kids don’t buy in to the scheme or the fact that they have to become more sound on both ends. AAU ball has ruined the sport. Never thought I would see a Skerry team so unhinged. Very disappointing

would likely cost about $4MMA bubble would NOT cost $4mm additional dollars at Towson. We are currently building the practice fields and electrical infrastructure. The Mankato press is talking about an entire build out with drainage, electrical and field surface. We could do a bubble for under $600k

Towson must be prepared to join the “G5 realignment “ when that happens. North Texas vs ODU in VB , Softball or baseball is killing those depts. it’s an unsustainable model that will have to change in the next few years. We must be ready to move with our peer institutions. It’s very likely that the upper tier of FCS and G5 form a division with a playoff and guaranteed money from the P5 world.

The NCAA also sets the prices. We get a portion of the gate for hosting the event. Essentially, the NCAA is just using our facility. However, the university can buy 10k tickets and give them away if they want to.

Very interesting scenarios for us. All are plausible.

Here’s the entire committee.

On the flip side, how are they going to cover our 6’5 260+ TE Clark. Clark is by far a bigger, faster and stronger target. He is uncoverable in the slot.
-
bottom 16 teams are not seeded and must provide a bid to host. Top tier conferences protect their teams with $ .
-
Conference subsides/controls bid package. In the old days ,ea h school would provide a stand alone bid.

Also forgot to put UNH on the bubble, but without Marty on the committee, they are done (maybe) 😏☹️
We are already a lock. Saturday is for seeding

1 hour ago, TSU88 said:While I’ll be the 1st to admit math never was my strongest subject, if Elon beats Maine & we lose to JMU, Elon finishes 7-3, which would be a better record than our 7-4. That early season postponement of the Elon vs W&M game (due to weather) could have playoff implications
Well, the fact that they only are playing 10 games would count against them. You couple that with the fact that they would have a head to head loss to us on week 10. There is no way they would get in over a Towson team that beat em by 31

15 minutes ago, TSU88 said:If they both finish with better records than us, notwithstanding we beat each of them, there’s the risk they get in over us. This is why I’m going to be a Maine fan this weekend, in their game vs Elon. I’m also going to be pulling for Albany over SB, but I think it’s improbable that the Scooby Doo’s, who are winless in conference, are going to beat SB.
Elon is only playing 10 games.,socan’t get to eight wins. SB won’t have a win over a “top 5 team “ and would have lost the head to head to us.

9 hours ago, TuTigers2012 said:I undestand that but as states 7-3 elon gets in over us at 7-4 and a win over them. So we should be black bear fans.
Maine jmu udel are in. Sb Towson elon are bubble. But today’s results in the mvfc socon help us
There is no way that Elon or SB will get in over us. Bank on it!

6 hours ago, TU2018 said:The master plan in 2015 had there being a track there instead of practice fields. I think down the road they were planning to get rid of the track at Unitas and put a fieldhouse type structure in the end zone. Also the new dorms in the Unitas parking lot are interesting. Limiting tailgating/parking even more
https://www.towson.edu/facilities/masterplan/documents/execsummarytufinal.pdf
The Soccer Complex will become a multipurpose stadium with a new design Field Turf product. The plan to move the track has been changed (for now) to allow for a quick build. An indoor practice facility could be a bubble or a complete buildout. Butas Matt said =$. In addition, there will future upgrades made to Unitas.

1 minute ago, TSU88 said:TF54, I’ve been wondering the same thing...whether Flacco is going to come back next year. As you point out, he’s a little older (though not radically so) than most college athletes but, more importantly, he already has his degree. If he finishes the year strong, what would he have to gain by coming back next season? Remember, T. West had a year of eligibility left, but it was pointless, under the circumstances, for him to come back. What if Flacco comes back &, heaven forbid, sustains a serious injury? Perhaps it will turn on what feedback he gets from the NFL (or maybe CFL). So, let’s enjoy the ride, as there’s no guarantee he’ll be back next season.
He has only started in 7 fcs games totalin his career! Relax, he’s going to play his final year at Towson.

Yep, just like the kid from Albany last week. That kid should have been kicked out of the game .
As far as the comment on Gohens, just some guy who never played running his mouth.

W &M doesn’t play a lick of defense! Can’t win championships with out some level of respectability on the defensive end. They are not athletic enough o,rdeep enough to compete for a conference championship. Knight has not been good when he faces another physical big. No chance at the NBA.
