Meh, not the end of the world. If we beat The Citadel we'll be ranked after week 5.

Fortunatelywe are in a conference that gives us the opportunity to play ranked teams every week.   However, fighting up hill in the polls all year has playoff implications.

September polls are laughable.  I wouldn't get too wrapped up in any of it.  If they keep winning, people will notice.  If they drop the next one against the Citadel, what will it matter anyway?  So, no sense in getting bent out of shape right now.

Misconception,  the longer we are kept out the harder the fight we have to get into the top ten and the potential ramifications the polls have with the committee. Every poll means something at the fcs level. That’s why Nova is still ranked after a loss to an Unranked Towson

  3. Absurd!  Look, the CAA/FCS is afraid of Towson.  The school is in a hotbed for recruiting and is a target for bounce back transfers.  UNH, Maine, Albany, URI can’t provide the necessary resources to compete against for Natl championship year after year.  Elon, Richmond , W&M and Nova have a different Academic profile.  JMU , Delaware, Towson and Stony Brook are the ones that can carry the torch for the conference annually . Stony is not a full member and The old guard doesn’t want to let Towson in.

  4. Total garbage.  We played in the Natl Championship game 4 years ago!  All these polls are filled with guys that buy each other lunch in order to get votes.  The PL should not be getting any votes in the top 60 but the poll must throw them a bone to keep the voters from that conference happy.   We CONTROL the future. Keep playing hard.

I've said it before, I hate this series.  We should trounce them every year.  And every year we seem to play down to them and either pull out a win or get upset.  I hate it.

When was the last time we treated Morgan like we should?  Please say before 1993.

Holy crap guys!  We spanked them 42-3 in 2011. We didn’t renew the series until 2010-11. Last year was an anomaly.

Last year we only beat them (at home) 10-0. Of course, that was last year. They had a ballyhooed transfer QB from the SEC; we had a ballyhooed transfer QB from the PAC-12. Between the two of them, they threw 6 INT’s & collectively set the forward pass back by about 50 years

Our QB was injured in the 1st qtr.  Ultimately it led to him having to give up football. The Morgan QB is now playing D2 BB.

But the fact that the AD and others needed to step to convince the coach to make the changes is beyond troubling.

We are stuck in the 90s with this program.  Fullbacks a 4-3 defense

What’s 1990’s about a fullback and the 4-3.? Obviously,  you have little insight into the program 2012.  I came out that the offense is moving to an no huddle package.

Don’t feel bad, I had Prophete scoring 10-15 ppg this season.

Was Solomon really offered by all those schools you mentioned, or were some of them just sniffing around/expressing interest? I do recall seeing confirmation of a Georgetown offer on his Twitter.  Assuming some or all of those schools offered him, it’s quite a coup to have beat them out.

IF, IF, IF he lives up to potential, this is why I believe with him & Sanders next season that next year’s squad will be better than this year’s team (assuming we get decent point guard play, which has been the bane of Skerry’s existence here).

Solomon is a definite upper P5 recruit

Not sure how much stock to put into this. New Hampshire only had two out of the top 40, and that's always a strong program. Maine had two, and they always put a competitive team on the field. I think it mostly comes down to coaching -- though JMU has both good coaching and top-tier players, so they'll be good as long as Mike Houston is there. Anybody else wonder why Jeff Miller didn't draw more interest given his size?

Agreed, I would not put much stock into these rankings.

    this.

i know a10 thinks they are too good for us but a10/caa challenge  or socon or maac would be nice.  solid teams and add alittle more to it

True. However, mid majors are so concerned nowadays of winning 20 games that it all but rules those exciting crossover games.

they transferred for a reason...  clark, dangerfield and west all were.. for reasons of their own doing or others, so yes they were

Wrong! Danger field was from Hofstra and Hofstra dropped football in 2009 . Where did West transfer from? He was a PG at FUnion
