Bottom line, there is more talent and depth on this team than any other program in the CAA. Please, compare the rosters.

JMU is not LSU! I didn’t think they looked good at all in the Spring. QB is shaky and they just lost their Left Tackle. I expect a CAA Championship and beyond. I watched tJMI play in the Spring... not feeding into the hype that the media creates. We have proven players and tremendous depth at every position. Not unknownjust have to meshall of the talent. Remember, the program has taken full advantage of the new NCAA regulationsregarding the summer period. All players have been on campus sine the beginning of June. Both summer sessions were a requirement for the players.

Gee, I wonder if the 100+ tackle , all Big10 rookie, transfer LB (6’3 248lb) from Rutgers(starter & top player in front 7) is going to get on the field this year for Towson.🤪

I believe the new faces transferred to be starters! This 2020-21 team appears to be built for a championship run, I believe it is a true reality!!
No doubt!!!!

Is not on any CAA team for 2021. He Was a second team CAA lineman in 2019 and an honorable mention al CAA in 2018. Not even HM? Lol
-
BTW, who do you think will start on the OL? Any true freshmen? Who will be our QB? What about the running back - any idea? I’ve heard there are some new faces in the defense. Did they transfer for depth? A lot to discuss....

Hi everyone, I hope that you all are enjoying the summer weather. I’m so excited about this upcoming season and getting to see our Tigers on the field. How about you?

Our “W” against MSU will carry more weight in the eyes of the committee, than a JMU win against a non-scholarship Morehead State.

Welcome to the family! The PWO’s are very important at the FCS level and this staff provides the opportunity to earn a scholarship. Kids grow/mature on different at different ages . There are many stories at Towson of kids that have earned scholarships and become all-conference/all-Americans.
As a program, expect to compete for Conference and National Championships.

Really? What about the free education, COA and room and board? I don’t think that people are thinking this thing through.will be the biggest mess in the history of AMATEUR sports! You wanna take income?AW2 and 1099 will be attached to it.

No, local television will probably dictate the game time. Expect a 6 or 7pm start.

They are definitely D1players. It’s FAU spring film and as evidence, they are wearing FAU Owl practice jerseys.

I’m merely saying that, notwithstanding the talent on paper, there are variables which will impact the season that will have to play themselves out. I had great expectations for the 2019 season, that is, until we were decimated by injuries. I don’t care how deep we are on paper, we have to have the good fortune to avoid a repeat of the wave of devastating injuries that we suffered in 2019. And, as far as I’m concerned, the jury is out on whether we brought in the right QB. I stand by everything I wrote in my last post. That doesn’t mean I’m not hoping for the best; just means the games are played between the lines, not in preseason polls
Agreed

There are so many variables that we have no idea how they will play out, that will ultimately determine how we do this fall, including the biggest and most obvious, in my opinion-injuries. Other issues include how will the new QB, Ferguson, perform, will the FBS RB transfer, Howard, spark the running game, can the D pressure opposing QB’s, what effect will the 2-year layoff have on those players who haven’t suited up since 2019, can we beat 1 of the big 3 on our schedule (NDSU, SDSU, JMU)….
By my way of thinking, if we lose all 3 games vs the big 3, we’ll have to go at least 7-1 in the remaining 8 games to make the playoffs, and that could be a very tall order. Therefore, it would behoove us to win 1 of those games vs the big 3
Well, we do know that we have added a tremendous amount of proven talent on our defense. There are multiple players that made 100+ Tackles at their previous schools. I suggest that you do some research on those players that were added. Injuries, that’s part of football. We have proven players at every spot in our top 50 on the depth chart. That means a minimum of two players with proven game experience at each position. IMO we are deeper and more talented than any other team in the CAA. Our D will most certainly be able to create pressure with out blitzing. The QB will be operating behind an OL that goes 13 deep. Avg size of those linemen will be 6’5 329!!! BTW, the team is already on campus and working under the new NCAA summer guidelines.Expect big things from this team.
