Bulletin board material for the team...

Shoot around video on Twitter last night showed Timberlake playing with a black sleeve on his right knee. Hopefully he will be dressing for tonight’s game.

Chris Biekeu from Canada signed on the dotted line last week.

18 hours ago, TigersTigers said:The good news: Towson finished CAA play 16-0 (the first time any team has ever done that) and will head into the tournament on a 20-match win streak.
The bad news: They played both matches this weekend without starting Middle Lydia Wiers, who is basically a lock for CAA Rookie of the Year.
So TigersTigers break it to us, why was the team without Lydia Wiers?

In depth preview from the other side...

He also said that Timberlake is not playing right now because of a knee to knee collision with another player in practice

Pretty sure I heard John Feinstein say on the FloHoops broadcast that TJ is official gone.

I'll pass on attending tonight and watch from home. Will be fun to see how many points we put on the scoreboard. Get in a good practice over the weekend and be focused and ready for Kent State on Monday. Looks to me like a junior varsity high school team in the tweet below. Take it easy on them.

Here's a short listen on the upcoming season from Pat Skerry on PressBox Online with Glenn Clark this morning.

Damn some love from mid-major madness. Hope the picks were made before consuming too much black and gold kool-aid.

My last mention of U Made a Bad Choice until the game in Dec, but they were one of the last 10 D1 schools to announce their non-conference schedule this year. Enough said so bring on GW. Is it Tuesday night yet?

Not much research put into that ranking (as with many). UMBC dreams night and day of beating us and Navy (I believe) won't play us.

Athletics is making an effort to stir up interest in volleyball this Friday night (#1 against #2). Also saw that they're doing a trunk or treat event prior to the match, I believe in Lot 21. Kids in costumes get in for free.

Team is now 18-2, 8-0 in league play with a 12 match win streak and just mutually agreed to cancel match with Coppin who just so happens to be winless against Towson in 11 tries. I believe the first half of league play just finished up. Let's keep it up and get stronger as the season moves along.

Another preseason story ranking the CAA. Came across this on the UNCW board. The writer has us at #4.

Preseason KenPom ratings went live over the weekend. Surprised to see Delaware that low to start the season. All others seem about right.

Here's another pre-season write up. This guy has us pre-season #7 and Nick as the "breakout player". Will be extremely disappointed if we finish that low and sure hope that Nick has a breakout year.

According to an article from Jeff Goodman today, Towson has scrimmages against Rutgers and George Mason.

This team is on fire. Beat the pre-season favorites a week ago and swept last year's top team (Hofstra) this past weekend.

He's been out three weeks. Hopefully by next Saturday, when we have intrasquads, he'll be ready to go.
On Betrand
Allen has made a big jump. If he gives us that guy..we need that glove defensively and he's gotten better offensively. He could be that Mike Burwell type of guy for us. He can take pressure off of Fobbs. Nick has been fighting some back issues but he's tough and reliable. He's steady.
I had a feeling that Betrand might make a big jump in year 2 and thought the same of Solly. Hoping the knee heels well and he's ready to battle every week in conference play. Of course would be nice if he was 100% for some of the decent non-conference games (GW, Vermont and the Charleston tournament). This team should be night and day from last year and fun to watch. Any rumors on who we'll be playing in the closed scrimmages?

Not too surprised to hear nothing but crickets on this thread. Disappointed that we've been forced (can't imagine we chose) to play Goucher. Any improvement that Kent State brings to the home schedule is totally shot by facing a D3 school that will be a total blood bath this season. The walk-on from last year will have a career game that night. No end in site of playing multiple locals every season, but figured Morgan would be home this year. Guess we initiated the talk of Morgan making the drive to Royal Farms to embarrass us last season. No doubt the tournaments in Charleston and DC are an improvement over the Bahamas and Atlantic City last season. I'll probably catch 2 out of the 4 home OOC games. Wish there was more excitement. Someday...

Based off this convo between Spiro and Pat, the 20-21 schedule includes games (maybe some potential, as part of tourneys) against Ohio St, Liberty, Kent St, Valpo, Penn, Harvard and Bucknell. With tournaments in Nashville and Florida.
