They laid down today. Shameful
-
Same bs, different night. Can’t play with a lead; no clutch play when it’s needed. Groundhog Day. Let’s get in the play-in game & do a mercy killing of this soon to be 10-22 debacle of this train wreck season

There’s a difference between being athletic and being a talented basketball player. We don’t need guys with measurables, who can jump out of the building and are muscled up. We need guys who can shoot. Or, in the alternative, we need guys who can shoot. On the other hand, we need guys who can shoot. Then again, we need guys who can shoot. Put another way, we need guys who can shoot.
-
Look, this isn’t rocket science. It’s not even brain surgery. We aren’t as talented as most teams we play. Sure, ZM & Gorham transferring out was a huge blow, but the coaching staff, which brought in a PG who can’t shoot, another kid who quit early on, a D1 transfer who has been a disappointment, & a JUCO PG who is shooting 36%, should not be absolved of blame. All I can do is hope that Gray & Timberlake, along with whoever they’re going to use the 2 remaining scholarships on, can help this stagnant, boring & joyless offense, substantially improve.

NJIT would probably blow us out
-
I agree, you have to cast a wide net, in case the guys you really want go elsewhere. Just not sure why we’d even be interested in 2 of these guys, but as long as we’re just kicking the tires, & not buying, that’s fine. Although again, the 1 kid is a bit intriguing

Colby CC is where Brian Starr went. No to Bol. He averages 5 points & 5 boards a game. I don’t care how tall he is. No to Beaudoin. He shoots 41% from the field, which drops to 27% from 3, & only 64% from the foul line. We’ve already got guys who can do all that. OliverHampton is a maybe. 6’8, from PG County, shoots 52% from the field, 33% from 3, & averages almost 8 boards a game. With all this being said, I would really prefer the last 2 open ships go to HS kids rather than 2-year bandaid JUCO’s.

Terrible play at the end of the 1st half; terrible play at the end of the 2nd half. Meet the new boss; same as the old boss
-
Um, well, wait a sec, hold on, see it’s like this....🤔
-
Tonight (and C of C game, & Hofstra game, & JMU & Drexel road games) are just symptoms of a disease. Unfortunately, there’s no cure for the next 7-8 years
-
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...yet again. It’s almost comical; my buddies & are were joking (gallows humor) when we went up by 5 late in the game that W&M had us right where they want us. So predictable. No wonder no one comes to these games except on Autism awareness day
-
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was. Like being forced to watch the same crappy movie over & over. You know how it’s going to turn out

Our X & O genius on display
-
If Matt Lewis has some more games like the other night vs Hofstra, Rowe will be 👌
-
I realize it’s JUCO, but that’s an impressive stat line, including 89% from the foul line
-
Mat, I think the link for Lampley’s stats might be from last season, it looks like he’s avg 26ppg, while shooting 48% from the field & 42% from 3.
-
If you go D1 transfer, he has to sit out next year. But you’re absolutely right, PS has got to stick the landing on these 2 open scholarships, & 1 of them must be a PG. We’ve got a ton of offers out, and now looks like we’re competing with JMU in a couple of instances. I believe singing period is from 4-17 to 5-15.
-
One of our coaches following, and being followed, on Twitter, Demarkus Lampley, 6’2 at Wallace CC, avg 26ppg, with 8 offers, including JMU
-
Go to his Twitter & he has a few clips that include him hitting outside shots. But he seems really dynamic in transition & driving & finishing
-
He & DT can go to the buffet line together 😆 The little blurb in the tweet about Akrum sounds like Fobbs. And he’s got a great nickname, “Ak-47.”

Another player we’re looking at
-
Delaware looked awful today, and they close out with NE & Hofstra, though both at home. If we win our last 2, we could possibly finish with the same conference record as them
-
Well naturally, Hofstra loses at home in OT (yakked a 5-point lead) to JMU, 103-99. Lewis for JMU goes off for 40. Also, Delaware is losing to Drexel with 11 minutes left. UNCW did lose today. I think the only possible way we’re avoiding the play-in is to win the last 2 games at home. I’m not at all confident that splitting would do it.

Troy Harper, Drexel’s leading scorer, out with broken foot.
-
Eckman might have been tempted to tell our offense to “call a cab.”😆
