I dunno guys....I'll agree to disagree. The CAA was garbage last year and our offense was one of the worst in all of D1, so I'm not sold on how inferior the MEAC was, at least compared to us (although we beat Coppin by 5 in our only MEAC game). Take a closer look at this guys numbers the last 10-15 games of his sophomore year at Coppin. They were real good. His final 12 games the guy averaged 13 points and 13 rebounds a game with a ton of blocks (and he would have led our squad in assists). He started to figure things out.....He may not be the next Kevin Durant, but he's no Victor or Jamel Flash, either. yep....our leader had 53 (zane) followed by gibson with 28......Matt may be right, he might be a reach, but his numbers at Coppin were good, certainly better than Victor's....and if our new shooters could spread the floor, a pass first big man might not be a bad addition to the team....

Pass on this one. Averages 3 points a game at Ohio and shoots 34% from the field. We need shooters/scorers, we should be able to do better.

I find this comment funny also. The thing is, the CAA is wide open. Wasn't JMU picked close to last and they won the regular season? No Tyson Walker at NE, if we reload, with quality guards, who knows. CT is a quality big and if we can get real shooting threats to finally spread the floor, maybe we can have a functional offense. Track record suggests otherwise, but if Nolan and Rizzuto are good adds, and they appear relatively stronger than what other CAA teams have done so far, maybe we can dream of going dancing.... I thought 4 might have left on rocky terms. Glad to see he helped broker this deal....

Montgomery looks good. Fast with a hard shot. If we had addressed face off, we'd have a really solid squad this year.

Ugh, I hate this. We didn't finish near last in 3 point shooting or assists due to us being weak. This is one of my fundamental frustrations with Skerry. Loyola, Chicago is not rolling out a team full of brutes each night. It's like a car running out of gas and us solving the problem by putting air in the tires.....

And this is what kills me about Skerry. Alex Thomas started over Gorham for us. So stupid - he should have started for us as a freshman.

While I also agree, let's actually see if Skerry can get someone competent to replace him. Not some guy like Brian Starr who provided absolutely zero offensive lift (like most of Skerry's guards)......

Seriously 2012. You just like to stir the pot at times. Ambrose has hit on a slew of transfers: Grant Enders, Tye Smith, Flacco immediately come to mind who were absolute home runs. He's also gotten 4 and 5 star recruits that have had mixed success or gotten hurt, but I give him credit for pulling in insane talent like that via transfer (among the best in FCS), like DeBerry, Pass (love the upside), Mahalak, the guy from Michigan that was hurt, the QB from the west coast that was going to transfer here before the season was cancelled, etc. You are being dishonest if you can't credit him for landing these guys - consistently.

UNCW is laughing at us now: #CAAHoops obviously isn't what it was in the glory days, but can't recall a time when so many programs had clear reason to be excited about their coaches + their futures. Yep - Rob took us to the title game. He also brings in game changing transfers with regularity. No comparison between the two until / unless Skerry can get us to a regular season title on NCAA tourney.

Philmore was a big time recruit and a nice player. I loved big Rob. He was an athletic freak, but they had absolutely no one around him. Give me him out of that group with Philmore as second...

I am on board. It was a brutal season, but Skerry is seemingly allergic to recruiting scorers, and even if we did have full practices, it wouldn't have changed the outcome. This was possibly the most inept offensive team we've ever had, and that's a strong statement coming from any Towson fan. I don't think this offense would do well as a D2 offense either......

College of Charleston has to go to OT to beat D2, Columbus State (who is 5-7 overall).

I agree with Bay Tiger, we can't blame the players or staff. It happens sometimes, despite the best possible precautions. Brutal season and hopefully we can somewhat bounce back next year.

To that point......Outside of Zane Martin, we had exactly 1 assist today. We had 4 total counting Zane's three. Walker himself out-assisted our entire team....

I'm annoyed we never pursued Lyles and he ended up at UMBC. We just don't seem to care about landing folks who can score (like Walker, today)...
