What a game.  Kudos to the team and staff.  Thought Dottin was exceptional in the first half and Betrand and Sanders in the 2nd half.  Thompson had a good game too.  Really proud of the effort!  

sanders is back.  Is Howard on the bench?

Up to -2.5.....money piling up on Towson.  Is sanders making his season debut tonight?  Kent is a good team.  Picked to finish 5th in a strong MAC conference 

Is he dressing for tonight’s game?  Also I hope Gray is a starter, seems odd to have our 2nd most talented player become a 6th man...

Can we identify the mystery player yet?  It will be public in a matter of hours anyhow.  Guessing it is Timberlake....looking forward to tonight’s game.  Excited to see what Gray can do

I can see MD being on the bubble, but I’m sure the NCAA will find a way to get them in.  There best win was Penn by 1 goal.  Went 0-2 against JHU, who we mauled.  If you remove the name and look at the results their resume is suspect this year.  

That was a great game to watch.  We looked sensational.  13-13 of clears and loved the shots on goal on the 10 man rides (either a goal or a free clear).  Shocked that UD didn’t go to a long stock on the face offs.  We won all 18 in the second half 

Please enough about his strength.  Not everyone in our lineup needs to be jacked.  And lifting can mess up a kids shot, I think, at least in part, that’s why some guards flee from the program as we try to convert them into power lifters.  

Until we get guards who can shoot and pass I really don’t want to keep hearing about “guard and defend.”  I do realize that’s important but every post game thats all we ever heard.  I’d like us to focus on scoring, passing and then guard defend and strength.  

i like Gibson too, but i suspect Skerry won't pursue him hard since he is not build like a LB and he will probably focus on his defense.  We need a heady player who passes well and can shoot.  This guys seems to check a whole lot of boxes.  

Thought they played well, minus the turnovers.  Game was nip and tuck, with Canto and Woodall dominating.  

Really wish Nadelan would use his timeouts to help save a possession (like most other coaches do).  Twice in the last 4 minutes we had a guy get triple teamed and Nadelan sat on his two timeouts.  We ended up turning the ball over both times only down 1, blowing our chance to tie it up.  Nads ended using both time outs in the final 25 seconds with us down by 2, not smart.  

We really need to tighten up our clearing and learn how to handle double/triple teams better, we try to run though them rather than finding an open man.  Still, we looked good and certainly belonged on the field with Duke for sure.

That’s an incredible stat about the assists.  Wasn’t skerry a guard at tufts?  Again - please shift the focus to assists and shooting at least for the guards

Jacksonville will be a tougher game than it looks.  They have battled tough each game, including being tied w Duke at the half.  They whipped Drexel, who is decent this year.  

Think we might be ranked number 1 this week.  We've got the best resume of the contenders....Not that it really matters this time of year, but still, IIRC correctly we have never been ranked that high...

Matt- what's your take on Skerry's staff?  Given how bad recruiting has been, and how awful we are on offense, are these guys simply yes men to Skerry's "defend and rebound" philosophy?  I get so tired of hearing that after each game and again, want to hear, just once him talk about 3 point shooting, assists and steals.....How about bringing in an AAU coach, someone younger, someone that can help recruit and change the style of play.  Perhaps they won't come here, but i'm on board with the masses that this style of basketball sucks.  I'm still not convinced that Skerry get's this, and suspect given a choice, he's going to opt for another gym rat goon rather than someone who can dribble, pass and shoot (as opposed to "defend and rebound").  Passing on Kurk Lee is a prime example of this!

And this was mentioned on an other post, but when is the last time we had an impact freshman?  As far as i can tell, he has NEVER had one.  Also frustrated w the roster management.  I'm sure there were plenty of reasons why Gorham isn't here, but still, why wasn't he starting last year over Thomas.  Same with Zane as a freshman - take the training wheels off of kids who can play, please.  Lastly, stop calling out Fobbs after a not so great game, at least publicly.  Without Fobbs this is a 3 win team.  He's essentially playing 1 on 5 each night, let's give him a break.......

Woodall played out of his mind as well.  We may get some first place votes (and probably should).  Got really concerned during that 15 or so minute scoring drought, but we turned it on late (just like w Georgetown and JHU).  Loyola simply couldn’t sustain anything with Woodall winning practically every draw in the 2nd half

I had the same thought.  Just once can he lead off with steals and assists instead of rebounding and defense?  The other comment that made me roll eyes was around him calling Betrand a gym rat.  How about working on jump shots instead of non stop weight lifting.  I think this was in part why Hawkins left.  I’d give anything for a 140 lb weakling that could shoot 45% from deep, get 2 steals and 4 assists per game.  Unfortunately PS has no interest in having complimentary players
