  1. Team was forcing a bunch of passes and they kept getting tipped or intercepted.  We have a pretty good squad and our face off guy will improve - i'm excited to start a true freshman who will continue to grow and improve.  Hopkins and Syracuse were train wrecks, i'm hopeful we can land some good transfers from them, and our pipeline with UMD transfers has been robust as well.

The system is broke and frankly in some cases, corrupt, but unfortunately the genie is out of the bottle, all in the misguided name of expanding the rights of players. Maybe if enough coaches complain about the Teddy Allen’s of the world, things could change, but I highly doubt it. The NCAA has largely been reduced to a paper tiger

You ever hear him talk?  that guy is bad news and he left behind some issues when he was with Nebraska.  I must say that Skerry, for the most part, gets high character guys who are good students.....

  3. maybe it didn't matter much, but who is the timekeeper?  With 32 seconds left Hofstra called time out and the clock ran down to 24, then they reset it up to 28 or so.....The final goal from Hofstra went in the net with 12 seconds, but again, the clock kept running and there was only 6 seconds left for the final face off.

  4. Hofstra will be good even if Estrada bails.  C of C brought in a ton of non D-1 talent, they are a wildcard....UNCW should be good again, Delaware has that young guy who came on like a freight train coming back.....

How about Northeastern.  To the best of my knowledge not a single transfer has committed to them.  Amazing how that program fell off of cliff.

  5. Here was a quote from him as to why he was looking to join.....Love that fact that we are getting some love from him for being the best team in the CAA and have a great chance to go dancing...

“I picked them because they were the regular season champs last season and we really have a real chance to go dancing next year,” he said.

  6. Good win today.  Entire team played well.  Was Fairfield's back up face off guy Tim Lucky's son (he has to be - same position / same name)?  Did we recruit him?

We are headed back to the CAA tourney and with that bad ass recruit joining us next year, and Constantidines showing up better at the X, the team is trending up.  BTW, Hopkins is miserable this year, suffered their worst loss in the history of homewood field today, wonder if we might be able to score a transfer to two from them if they have a mass exodus.

  7. Mike is rejoining college athletics.  It's sad to see his career stagnate after the turnaround he led at TU.  Sure there was collateral damage along the way, but I'm convinced he was the single greatest hire within Towson Athletics over the ~28 years I have followed the program.  Football, Lacrosse and Basketball (selfishly the sports that I care about) shined during his tenure.  He smashed our losing mentality.

I hope our new AD can bring Mike's passion and vision back to the role.

Towson MBB dynasty: 2/28/22 - 3/7/22. Very disappointing, where does he think he can go with no jump shot and undersized to play 4 in a bigger conference? We fit his game perfectly. Grass has never been greener for others who have left, Four made some shots in grad year at URI and Gorham had team success as 6th man for Houston. Had as good of a shot as any one bid league next year, would be difficult to replace second main cog to the system. I can only assume leaving a legacy at a school and getting the dance might just not be at the top of kids' priorities these days.

I hope Cam returns.  The tweet was cryptic, maybe he is exploring his options.  Cam is really talented - I think he will do well no matter where he goes, but do agree his game was really well suited for us.  I wish him success wherever he goes and am grateful he played with such heart for us.  The transfer portal is a double edged sword - it rewarded us handsomely last year and I hope it does so again this year.

Agreed, generally about the grass not being greener, but Gorham hit it big.  He was a key contributor (starter, not a 6th man) on a very good Houston team that made a nice run in the tourney.  I don't think the portal really worked out well for Zane, Four or Betrand.

I’m leery of guys who rarely played, big offers notwithstanding (see, Victor U & Mims). Would prefer guys who have an established track record, say who averaged 10ppg or so at their old school and are looking for more minutes, or a change of scenery or whatever. Holden & Nolan are the templates. Glad to see Wynter from Drexel gone.

While I generally agree with you, keep in mind Bennimon rarely played at Georgetown and that worked out pretty well for us.
