Does anyone else think the "Blessed to receive an offer..then usually some blurb about religion" on Twitter is just getting so old with all the recruits? Like, clearly, I don't understand modern recruiting or college kids at this point, but it feels so inauthentic

There was a guy from California a few years back who faked his recruitment and offers and thus his signing day with Oregon for football.

Will be following and rooting for him. Had some serious offensive limitations, but he was one of the most unique and fun players to watch at Towson. We will miss having his athleticism on our team.

It’s all about us. Improving the returning players and redshirts, making sure the freshmen are ready, finding leaders and another dog or two. Working on team defense and maybe new schemes (zone?). Weight room for guys that need it. FT shooting and rebounding drills. I’ll say it again. No hyperbole. This is the biggest and most important offseason maybe ever.

Look, we’ve got to be pragmatic about this. We can’t control the fact that UNCW and C of C are in an arms race and are spending like the money is flowing from a spigot that won’t turn off. We’re never going to be in that tax bracket. Best we can do is put together the best team we can, within the confines of the resources available to us, and hope that in any given season we don’t have to play both of them in the conference tournament

If you really believe it would take Cooper Flagg for us to have a shot at beating UNCW, then there’s nothing I can say to you. Im quivering in my boots thinking about playing UNCW. Oooh, UNCW is coming. Heaven forbid. I propose we forfeit the season now and just get it over with

Gavin Walsh. 6’8, from Binghamton U. Avg’d 11 boards per game last season. Not knocking him, but CAA is a step up from America East (isn’t that the conference Binghamton is in?) I will say this, we really need to bring in a good big with our last open ship. And we also need Embeya to make the freshman to sophomore leap. If both these things happen, I’m not convinced we should cede anything to UNCW. If one, or both of these things don’t happen, that would be problematic

Yes, we need a backup point guard, but the interest is highly unlikely at this point. I'd rather have a need at backup point guard then a hole at center.

But, the current coach is not going anywhere. I know it, you know it, we all know it. You’re free to grouse about it in perpetuity, if this somehow is cathartic for you. We just defied odds by foiling any attempt to poach our two best players. We’ve brought in a competent player through the portal, who appears to have skills we covet. We have two more spots to fill. For once, just once, can we tamp down the ceaseless negativity? If we come up short at the end of next season (notice I didn’t say when) there will be AMPLE time to wallow in negativity, and I will probably join in, as I have not hesitated to do so in the past
