I know the loss is still fresh in everyone's minds, but I wanted to take a second to thank you all for following my coverage of the team over the last three years, in whatever capacity it may have been. The constant engagement from you all kept me going and gave me a reason to continue covering the team in the way that I did. I'm graduating in May so this is the last season I'll be covering them. I'll still be reporting on the transfer portal until then, but I won't be around nearly as much next season. Thanks, Jake

Towson moved up to the No. 3 seed in the CAA after last night's win. The former four-team tie between Towson, Hofstra, Drexel and Delaware is now a two-team tie between Towson and Drexel at 9-4. Towson and Drexel won last night, Hofstra and Delaware (really bad loss against Elon coming off a 9pm Monday tip in Towson) lost. Towson still owns the tiebreaker in a head to head over Drexel because of the win at TU Arena a couple of weeks ago.

I'd say it's unlikely they'll be able to move the start time. Game is streamed on Monumental and I'm not sure if they'd switch their programming schedule at this stage. Not saying it's 100% not happening, but the logistics of making the time switch aren't great

Honestly not sure why the university kept it quiet. They also kept the COVID extension quiet, which means that back-to-back one-year extensions were kept quiet. I talked to Pat today and he told me that he isn't interested with the attention that comes with announcing contract extensions. I get that, but students' athletics fees go toward paying salaries for coaches... right? I'd think the public has a right to know when coaches are getting extended. Not announcing it only makes matters worse for them because now it seems like a secretive move where they have no control over the narrative.

Sorry for the late reply, busy week. The copy I have of his contract says that it was signed on Dec. 19, 2017, but it says that the terms of employment stated by the contract are July 1, 2017-April 6, 2025. I guess that means they gave him an extension midseason and decided to start the contract during that season. Maybe it came with some raise in salary that Skerry wanted to start that season, not the next. The contract extension he signed in Dec. 2017 had his contract ending after the 2024-25 season. However, because of the one-year extension that coaches got because of the COVID year, Skerry's contract was extended and will now end on April 6, 2026, after the 2025-26 season.

Skerry's contract is up after the 2025-26 season. His initial contract extension with the university went until after the 2024-25 season, but Skerry (along with the other head coaches at the time) all got automatic one-year extensions because of COVID. The only thing that Skerry has in his contract that would allow for a one-year extension is an NCAA tournament appearance.

Yeah Hofstra lost at home to Princeton too, a game they definitely could have won. One bright spot for the league is Monmouth who left Morgantown with a win. Big win for sure, but maybe not as big as it would have been in the past because of the head coach situation and all the late transfers leaving and coming in.
