I don't want to keep this going here but you can see the lead official say he never had control of the ball by using the approved "bobble" sign. I am sure you already knew this since you know everything.
-
No feelings, just that you have a better angle than the official staring at the play to call a travel. You seem like the type of guy who is concerned about 3 seconds is just so fitting, you probably called them in Burdick during pick up games.

What a glowing review! I am shocked by this!!!!

I understand what TU2012 is saying and agree that this is a guard dominant league. At the same time we could be a matchup nightmare for everyone in the CAA if all of these guys get waivers this year. The ability of Gray and Gueye to stretch the floor, allowing no double teams in the post on Victor can be a huge asset offensively and the lenght on this team defensively could bring a faster pace which is something we have all be hoping for (including myself). I know a lot of ppl on this board don't like Skerry ball. For me, if we have the athletes to run a full court press, trap, and speed up the pace (which we haven't done) we can not only win games but we may actually make it exciting enough for more than 1,800 people to come to the arena.

Two QBs from Cali on the roster.

You realize our funding for hoops is still at the bottom of the league, right? You all continue to bring up Mason, ODU and VCU. I went and looked at STATS to see the success of Jim Larranaga as a head coach. Funny, he didn't make his first NCAA tournament until year 13 of his carrer. He was able to build the program at Mason and turned them around to make them a powerhouse quickly. Mason clearly funds hoops and athletics different than Towson. For those of you who have been a part of the program or close to the program know that things have been done ass backwards for a long time. I remember being on PKs staff and every other day he would say how F**ked up everything was from the facilities, donors, pregame meals, hotels, and everything else. That stuff takes time, and the changing of ADs/Presidents doesn't make it go quicker. PS needs to do better in the tournament, we all agree on that but there are so many other ancillary parts to make this thing work and unfortunately for all of us Towson hasn't put those pieces together for a long time. -

I just wish you younger guys understood what this program was like a short 10 years ago. We were the laughing stock of the CAA in the early 2000's. Less than 300 people in the stands for home games, playing in a HS gym with guys who couldn't even transfer out becuase DII schools didn't even want them. I get we all want the NCAA tournament but this change in mindset takes time, clearly longer than some you want. I guess that you believe it is a settling mindselt and we are settling with PS but as soon as we can get 5,000 fans to be as passionate as all of us to sell out the Towson Center is when we can hire/fire coaches and buy out contracts. Until then, we have a solid coach who has taken us up the CAA standings and we all hope that he can get us to the next step. Clearly some have given up on that hope but some of us still believe he can do it. I urge you to go look at box scores from the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 seasons if you want to see a program to be embarrassed of. -

There are multiple reasons to be on a police blodder, peeing in public, getting into a fight, stealing cars and armed robery can all be found on a police blodder but that doesn't mean you're a bad kid because you end up on it. To think that 18-22 yr old males don't make dumb mistakes and shouldn't get a 2nd chance is silly. It's also not an inexact science. Winning is also not a hard and fast line either. Winning 20 games is considered winning for some on this board while only a Sweet 16 performance is the only thing acceptable. I enjoy the banter and debate and we won't agree until PS wins a couple NCAA tourney games with 4 yr seniors, so keep it going! -

Heard some news regarding AB yesterday. Rumor is it wasn't necessarily PS's decsion which makes me feel like the relationship with his players is better than we realize, including AB. -
The positive thing is he won't be too small/not athletic enough to get on the floor right away. It will be nice to have an impact freshman that can play at this level on both ends. Gibson was a great add as a freshman, he definitely got stronger before his freshman year starter, will probably continue to do so. It has the opportunity to be a nice combination of youth and a veteran/transfer presence.

Are you sure you can't? Makes me think it was a program decision not AB's -

How many freshman has he recruited in his 9 years? %'s would be helpful, not just whole numbers. Also would like those %'s compared to the rest of the league. -
Do we know why Holland left High Point?
-
I was hoping Dottin could become that guy. Does the Allen signing force Dottin to leave?
-
Totally agree on the press more and play uptempo. Those are the types of guys he recruits why not maximize their skills. I think we've always been missing hte guys to run the show, I am hoping they are here now.
-
We havent had anyone in the top 10 in minutes during the PS era other than JB. But we've had a guy in the top 10 in scoring 4 of the last 5 years and 6 of 8. In the 15-16 season we had the 10, 12, 14 scorers in the conference; I'd much rather have that than a guy with top 10 in minutes played.

Fully aware there are plenty on here who can't stand the staff but isn't there something to be said that our guys are sticking together. Even though they have showed their frustrations throughout the year. To me it feels like these guys have buy in, they trust the program and they like each other. To me that matters, it is important for our program to remain competitive and try to develop as a strong mid-major that players want to come to be here. I was concerned when Zane and Gorham left that we were about to hit a downward spiral. It was one sub .500 season until we bounced back. We need to get this CAA Tourney monkey off our back and it is squarely on the coaching staff's shoulders to do so. I hope they can do it. They make these guys better players/people, are good for the community and represent TU well. There are plenty of doubters on here and I'm hoping they are going to prove you all wrong. I'm fully aligned the clock is ticking.

You going to go is Skerry is the coach?

Towson (19-12, 12-6): The Tigers have lost three games since January 3rd. Their 12-3 record since that date is tied for the 12th best nationally. Like the other top teams in the conference, TU does it through their offense. They are 11th in FT%, 20th in steal %, 38th in block % and 49th in OR%. Doing it through their offense....
-
Trying not to get my hopes us but I feel like this team is different. There is a play for each other type attitude. Guys are sacrificing for the betterment of the team and the only goal is to win. I don't we've had that since the Bennimon, Damas team.

MBB beats Hofstra 76-65 to break their 8-game winning streak
griggey20 replied to mat1992's topic in Tiger Basketball
Totally agree with the CAA tournament record. To me showing the quick improvement over last year is very telling of him as a coach. In the 18-19 season he was expecting his top 2 played back and they both left for “greener pastures”. Very few mid-major coaches can bounce back from that being thrown at you last minute. We have been competitive in every season he’s been here since his first. As a KC Chiefs fan, it took Andy Reid a while too. The grass isn’t always greener and I’m not sure coaches are knocking down the door after the guy who flips the program from nothing to something gets canned. -

Am I wrong? There are more people that want him out than want him here on this board. -

He's generally not well thought of on his own team's board.
