that blowout win in '93 should have gotten us into the playoffs. Vinson was a beast. Crowley, Orlando et al. were perfect complements. But we were shafted.
On another topic: did anyone see that Grayson Boyce scored three TDs for Frostburg against Stevenson last night?

Any idea if the two ADs are talking about moving the game to Sunday? Forecast is for rainy/cool weather Saturday, clearing and warmer on Sunday. With travel not being an issue, seems feasible to me. Given that it's a three-day weekend, you probably get a decent (or at least better) crowd on Sunday than on a soggy, cold Saturday.

How did Toomey look punting?
-
The game is supposed to start at 6, but he says 1. Does he know something we don't?

I don't recall us ever starting summer practice as early was we did this year. Even in 2013, when he opened in late August against UConn, the players didn't report in July. Any idea why the early start this year?

Looking at Hawkes on film, he has a knack for cutting back and breaking tackles.

I agree with Mat -- our greatest area of weakness is the D-line, and that's where we need help. Still, I like our chances this year.

How did Toomey look punting in spring practice? And didn't we recruit a kid from Michigan who was the top punter in the state?

I wouldn't mind signing some of his receivers too.

The timing isn't very good, but this may have been her last season anyway with that weak track record.
OFFICIAL CELEBRATION THREAD -- TOWSON 10, MORGAN 0

I didn't think Mahalak was injured. I assumed we pulled him because he was so ineffective. (And listening to Spiro's wrap-up on the ride home, he said the team came out of the game with no injuries.)
I also think this may have been the most hapless offensive performance I've seen from us. (Worse than when we lost at Morgan in RA's first year.) Morgan's self-destructive tendencies are what saved us from a humiliating defeat.
