Tough opener, let's see what we got! We got spoiled with face offs last year. Hard to be as successful as we were last year, but we have to be somewhat decent this year though.

Hmm... I would like to think I have a pretty good idea as to why they are doing this. (I am assuming that they are getting a couple of bucks out of the deal.) However as a person who was in the sports ticketing business for over 20 years the first thing that comes to my mind is "Towson has trouble selling their own tickets. What makes them think that a deal with a secondary ticket market is a good thing? Especially with a company that no one has heard of?" This is the Flosports of ticketing. Good if it is a money grab for the Athletic Department but I would not be touting this deal unless they are going to assist the Ticket Office with ticketing as a whole.

I was in Dayton as well. We were competitive in that game. I believe down 7 with the ball less than 10 minutes to go. Pretty cool as I was leaving I exchanged my Towson State sweatshirt with an Ohio State student's sweatshirt. We played the first game of the night session. I remember after the game watching kids run up to John James to get autographs. The nightcap of that doubleheader was Kenny Anderson's Georgia Tech vs. De Paul

I did get a text this morning. They are giving T-shirts to the first 500 students Thursday and T-shirts to the first 500 fans on Saturday. Hey it's a start! Towerlight should be pumping these games up too.

Loved our pace last night as other have mentioned. Could this finally be a philosophy change or was it just the game plan for Drexel? I hope seeing the results of getting these guys moving open some eyes as to how the team should play moving forward.

Never heard of it either although it called "one of the premier post-collegiate all-star games.". Now who knows how big this game is but it is exposure, but here is where the Towson PR/Media staff under sells it. I just did a quick look at the rosters and it's not the senior bowl but the list of schools represented is pretty good. There are players listed from Power 5 schools playing. Also although I do not have it and cannot stand the CAA's flosports agreement, this game is being broadcast there but no mention of that either. Good luck to Tom hope he plays well.

I wasn't criticizing you I was just making my opinion on the next three based on how this team has played recently. I know you were speaking in general terms but please do not include me in the "everyone" as I have not spoken or mentioned the last 2+ years. I'm sure I am like others who visit the site often in that I read the post but always hesitate to respond or post because I do not want my opinions to be ripped or responded with sarcasm. Being grouped with some on here that you can basically predict their responses reaffirms my hesitations.

The state this team is currently in "(should at least go 2-1)" is a HIGHLY optimistic. Hey I hope they go 3-0 in that stretch but it's hard to see it right now. Yes they faced the top 3 in conference but what is going to be their story/excuse after these next 3?

Is Towson Horse on the payroll? If not he should be as he has done more promotion than anyone in the athletic department. Although he could of kept this tweet to himself as it basically says "Our attendance is bad but 38% better than last year!"

The best chance to get a big name into SECU was when it opened. Who did we play in the first game? Navy. Thank the midshipman for being the future protectors of our country but not the headliner to open up a new building.

What the heck is going on in that Athletic Office/Ticket Office? With attendance and season ticket bases being so low it should not be hard to cater to those who do have season tickets. Plus the second the phone rings it should be answered. There is no way someone like TSU86 should have to call multiple times in order to try and buy tickets. Not surprising but although they should I am sure no one from that department follows this board. With everything else it makes no sense. Unfortunately we do not have a huge following, but because we do not have a huge following it should be easier for that department to tend to those with interest. I spent over 20 years working in the sales/ticket office for a professional sports team with I am sure five times the size of Towson's football and season ticket base combined and not returning any call was inexcusable. I know it cost money to advertise but you know what doesn't cost anything? Email. Students have email addresses, they have alumni email addresses that is a quick and inexpensive way to get the word out. You can't build something if the people tasked to build are not building. The last two post are frustrating and sad.

Although I know they did not play them this year, I was hoping for the experience that they would get a chance to play a team that they would not normally play or would nt be out of the realm of possibility to schedule. Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread though they like to keep travel to a minimum in the early rounds.

Does not matter who we play. Better team, a team we are even with or a lesser team. If the game is close this team never knows how to close out a game properly. It has been this way for YEARS. It is beyond frustrating at this point. They turned a fell good win into S.O.T.

Xavier is a tough defensive team always has been, but regardless of who we were playing last night we are not going to have too much success playing like that.

Looking forward to watching. Not that it matters too much but it is going to be tougher now with Florida coming off a bad loss.

This is not a negative question as I am thankful that TF is our quarterback. He has done some great things in his season plus and hope he finishes the season strong. It is not his fault that his brother is a veteran Super Bowl winning QB (regardless of what people think of his skills now) and a lot in life is not what you know its who you know but my question is if Tom's last name was say Flanagan instead of Flacco is he getting the same looks from scouts?
