I love this place! i had a wake alum colleague tell me after the football game; towson is a real sports school because you have an active forum. That is more than most cupcakes they play. My only wish is the school promoting us more. I found out about the Zone back in the day by a football game promo

I don't think that is necessarily a bad idea. The school wastes tons of money on many other initiatives, including employing the SS to stop tailgating.

JMU whipped us with style points to most likely lock up a seed. Not sure we get in with that performance today.

Also - the question comes how much do/would/should we bid? TL and the current administration are pretty light on the marketing/growth side. I doubt they push hard to get the home game without a seed.

To have only one CAA seeded would be a Joke. Assuming Maine wins they will get a seed.

Since we are playing Elon in football today I've been doing some Googling about the school. Found out Elon just opened a new arena with UNC playing them in the opener. I remember UNC playing Charleston on the road (and lost to the Cougars). Why is it that a true blue blood in UNC will play in state road games, even against private schools, but UMD will rarely play us (once in the last 20 years) and never on the road? We can't even get AAC or A10 team to play us at home.

I doubt it. No one from the DC area or north of Maryland cares about UMD sports unless they went to Maryland.

If only MBB could schedule like that. It's tough schedule but I like that we are scheduling top tier games. Nice seeing UVA back on the schedule for an exhibition, maybe back into the regular season for 2020?? Any idea what this mystery Charlotte tournament is?

Delaware will be ranked come Monday, I'd expect them to get the name love and be ranked near us. So we'll likely play 4 top 20 teams to close the season.

But the questions we need to be asking are: How did we allow one person to yield so much power by turning into the no fun police? And how do we stop it as alumni? How do we have an AD that seemingly has no concept to what marketing is and has no power at all in university affairs. What is our forum to voice these concerns other than complaining here? Do they send out a season ticket holder survey? Not to my knowledge but a basic thing to start. How about an open feedback session.

WTOP sports guy did a shout out to Tom and did the "Fight on Towson Tigers, Fight on Black and Gold" bit during the local sports update on Saturiday morning with the upcoming local game times. That is a DC station calming Towson as a local team.....very sad Baltimore can't seem muster any support.

Yes*, the weather should be nice, we are coming in with a winning record and are ranked. Plus we'll get about 4k in students (mostly freshmen) ..for the first half. The attendance will not be over 7500 at the start of the 4th quarter even if a one score game. *Only counting tickets "sold" and one cards scanned, not butts in seats

Can someone please tell me how and when elon got/is good??????? They got beat pretty well by FBS South Florida (not a power 5, while our FBS L is a power 5) and they beat Furman who plays in the not so great SoCon. Similar to our not so great win at Morgan vs a lower conference. In 2017 Elon had a good year but no great wins. There games were all very close, like under one TD games, include a 2OT 3 point win vs us last year. Sure hats off to pulling out the close games however they lost 3 in a row to close out last season.
