CT comment about Cam playing the 4 and confusing teams.. absolutely love that. And credit to PS.. he said weeks ago we will shoot better and he’s been spot on. We look so damn confident. Again the pieces just fit together this season. We are a legit CAA contender!!!!

I see Buckingham on their roster who played with Cam Allen at Bakersfield. Coppin shot 5-34 from 3 against them. The way we’ve been going I think we hit our 3’s early and then CT continues to have a presence inside we should be in good shape. They average 16 turnovers a game while opponents been averaging around 9. For the most part we’ve taken good care of the ball. Hope it is a decent size crowd this evening. Go Tigers!

They have a KenPom rating of 32 right now. I live in SF. Why not? I’m a valued alumni. Attending the gathering Jan 9th.. The Cheese School of San Francisco mind you. And more importantly Joe Lunardi opened up this can of worms being that he has USF and Towson playing in Portland come March. And hearing USF coming to SECU in 2022 or 2023 when they also play Richmond on the same trip.

Davidson (7-2) Nevada (4-4) UAB (8-2) UNLV (6-5) Fresno State (8-2) win over Grand Canyon this weekend should finally get them in the top 25. If they can finish in top 3 of the WCC should easily get an at large this season.

We beat the hell out of Pat at times. He’s made adjustments and doing a real nice job thus far. Again the pieces just seem to fit this season in addition to guys finally being healthy. We may look back at the trio of CT/NT/Gibson and say that was the heck of a recruiting class. Time will tell. Lots of work ahead as he alluded to but this interview shows me PS has it all dialed in and couldn’t always say that in past seasons.

Don’t look now and lots of games left but Holden, Gibson and Rizzuto are all shooting over 40% from 3. NT at 37%. Nolan under 30%. Hicks 0-8 Gray over 40% but small sample size. Time will tell but I have no problem with guys shooting it more. Greensboro obliterated today. Tennessee shot 13-35 from 3.

Responding to last message about Juan Dixon.

No brainer to me.. Sean Miller would be the guy. Arizona is 8-0 right now.. his grocery shopping.

We had Derrick Phelps at USF and UNC wouldn’t come here. In the past USF would get lucky having a Ohio State or Seton Hall swing in before or after a tournament in Hawaii. Our focus should be continuing to target elite mid major programs like Wichita State etc to come to SECU.

I’m not in the area but judging by the attendance early on I don’t see a top 25 victory giving us a huge crowd for our next game. 2 non conference games left and then the CAA so no big upsets in the cards. Maybe next season. This program needs to win the conference for an infusion of fans back. Tough to do but I like our chances of making a deep run in the CAA.

Ohio State guards were too athletic for Duke. So tough to run 40 minutes with them. Credit to our coaching staff for having our guys prepared for this one. Enjoy the ride cause this group is gonna be tough in CAA play no doubt. We finally have the intestinal fortitude to battle night in and night out.

PAC 12 been the same way. Montgomery while at Stanford would never do. Cal has done more but they have also been irrelevant for a long time. Hats off to Jay Wright and Villanova cause they continue the Big 5 tradition.

If we can keep it from not being a 25 point blowout and more importantly walk away unscathed then I’ll be happy.

We beat the bad teams and hence we better smash Coppin State. 3-1 before conference play is very ambitious on my part.. 2-2 probably the case. However if we continue to shoot better like Skerry keeps saying we will then who knows. I’m enjoying our 3 game win streak although if we beat Ohio State then I won’t be able to wear my Towson gear when shoplifting at my local Walgreens.

Monmouth now 7-1 USF is 9-0 Pitt 2-6 We want the Pitt game back of course! Other 2 losses to legit teams. We have a shot at 3-1 record before conference play. 9-4!!! Not bad at all!

Hicks has averaged 22 minutes a game thus far and that will probably decrease with other guys back and so much he has to improve on offensively but he is a true freshman and only has 8 turnovers to go along with 11 assists and 13 steals. Is he a diaper dandy.. no! But he’s really been a pleasant surprise when none of us expected him to play this much. Guys are filling roles right now. Gray as Matt mentioned fills a role. NT & Cam are the 1-2 punch it seems. CT & Paar are filling roles. Rizzuto and Gibson doing their part. Nolan comes back Wednesday or after and we have a legit 10 man rotation this season.. 10 players I think all of us can agree on that give us quality minutes. 6-3 and this is gonna be a fun CAA season with this group.

Best highlights I’ve seen thus far… they always say bigs take a little longer to get going and CT/Paar really look more comfortable rolling to the basketball and more importantly knowing where the ball is coming from. Keep attacking the rim. I really like these pieces we have cause after 8 games they truly fit together unlike seasons past. Cam took only 3 shots in the first half and then had 19 points in the second half. He is truly the best thing to happen to Towson basketball.. He’s gonna account for 3-4 wins come conference play.

Hicks makes it tough for the opposing guard to bring up the ball and I love that. Our bigs played well. We knew Long Island was brutal from beyond the arc. Cam does it all.. hustles his ass off. 5-3 going on the road. Hoping for a split!

Both teams struggled from beyond the arc but luckily we have Cam!!! 19 second half points. Not many fans before a 3 game road-trip. This squad is growing on me. Enjoyed
