2 stats that jumped out to me from last night. 14 for 19 from the line. 20 second chance points on shooting 45% from the field. Tempering expectations as always but just really nice to see. As always thanks for all the insights... I’m taking my boys to Stanford game today.. visiting San Francisco. Feels like yesterday those goofy Lopez twins were walking around the city lost. Go Tigers... beat them Explorers... Lionel Simmons less!!! Then pound those tables... I was 91’-95’... who didn’t pick a weekday night and just drive to AC from Towson and play all night..

Completely understand your frustrations after today’s game and hence the past “3” decades. Love the school and want to win. I had said give the man this season and the next. However my concern is that just may prolong the agony for all of us. He deserves time with this young group and I guess they will evaluate after conference play. But if we don’t see progress and momentum built up with this core then sadly I say blow it up this spring. Get new blood in there... roll the dice. I’ve been an apologist but today none of it made sense truly. We have a new arena.. play in a NBA less city... in the Mid Atlantic where there is plenty of talent to draw from. Do we go get a former player like a Tommy Amaker type who played for a major program. We obviously don’t have a pro alum like a Mullins or Hardaway to choose from unless Gary Neal wants to coach. How did Buffalo do it!? Hurley. Feel all your frustration... My solution is to spend the $ and go after a name coach... it’s a 50/50 chance but at this point I’m willing to take it. Not saying Steve Lavin but someone who has had success at a big program and wants to coach and can take us to the next level. I saw Rex Walters clean up a USF program after Jesse Evans (Lute Olsen asst) did some shady stuff... but then Rex could only take them so far. Now Kyle Smith has them in the hunt for at large and a chance to finish 2nd behind Gonzaga. At a loss again...

This group of players has a chance to put themselves back on the map of relevance with a win. Great test for our team. I was down and out early on and then I put my black Towson long sleeve Under Armour shirt I bought when in town last January for the Elon game. I talked shit to my friend a Hoosier Alum. Then told Cal & Stanford to suck it. Mark my words. Pat Skerry and Co are gonna take us to the promise land. Call me a nut... sure... our time is coming. I have a hunch these players are gonna have some swagger in them. All it takes is one player to get it going and the chemistry blossoms. Go Tigers.

Ps. I think Pat reads the board. Loved his postgame. I truly want this man to succeed. In my opinion he’s the right guy and still brings a ton of energy to the program. Time will tell.

It’s a win win no matter what really... we have a state of the art arena and we play in a solid mid major conference. If it doesn’t work out with our current coach then I don’t see why we can’t land another coach to take us to the next level.. We are gonna have our day in the sun... may take another decade but we will get it eventually. I support and appreciate the players and staff who have stuck around and want to make it work at Towson. I’m buying when we play that first round game!!!!!

I remember our coach against Oregon State on the road in Corvallis coaching it up pretty damn good... 6 years ago and all. I don’t think he forgot how to coach.. his personnel changed and he hasn’t always adjusted his style of play to fit what his players do best. Did you watch those last seasons with Pat Kennedy!!?? All due respect to Jimmy V and all. We are 4 games into it... This group is gonna win some games... not a lot but some. Skerry is a solid coach... what other coach is taking this group and winning 20 games!? Knock the man for questionable recruiting the past 2-3 seasons and possibly losing the team all together last season but I’ve watched a ton of games and he knows how to coach and make adjustments. If you don’t like his style of play then that’s another issue. Archie Miller at Indiana... great X’s and O’s or talent!!!???

Few has gotten nothing but the absolute best recruits from all over in addition Big 5 school transfers. They’ve been in a mid major conference as well so year and year out they were winning the bid. No doubt if we actually won a conference title then just maybe the better recruits trickle in. I truly want it to work. Sherry is a class act and he’s from the Ben Howland/Jamie Dixon tree of coaching and both those guys had a ton of success. Aside from losing players... we are in the midst of our 6th season in the new digs.. home schedule is putrid. Pay some $ and bring in one blue chip program each season to reward the season ticket holders. Especially for the 2019-20 season knowing that we won’t be scaring any big conference school from coming in and taking a L!

North Dakota State truly not a cupcake program. They made the dance in 2014 & 2015 and have been a solid program the past decade. Look I know I’m in CA where everyone is happy go lucky. Skerry gets this season and the next to figure it out but I’m of course not gonna be devastated if he’s let go after this season. Recruiting is huge... not an exact science. Some guys just know how pick the right groceries. I’m at a loss right now at how this fell apart for us... but it is reality. We have to take our lumps and hope this freshman class is indeed legit. We’ve had no violations etc and so it’s not the impossible it once was to turn around a program quickly. Case in point look at San Diego who after being embarrassed by a coach sex scandal is off to a 3-1 start. Oh geez... ok maybe PS doesn’t know what he is doing. I’m at a loss. Love our school and desperately want to get to the dance before I die. I do know that Gray is legit and will help us next season. Appreciate this board and I truly understand all the frustration. I want to win!!!!!

We have “5” freshman getting double digit minutes... lots of lumps to take. Not like we didn’t expect this. Build for CAA play. We will be back in the high life again...

I’d like us to dig deeper in the Euro talent pool. Now that being said those kids can transfer too but they tend to be a bit more willing to accept the playing time they get and tend to work hard. Painting with a broad brush but I’m seeing the trend here in the West Coast Conference and it’s working out. Hey why don’t we have an Australian pipeline set up!!!?? Wink. More and more of them coming over. I hope this class really buys in for Skerry.

Another season upon us. Truly appreciate all the insights. Lets hope these recruits really get after it and buy into the system. I’m 45 and I want to dance before I die please... is that so much to ask. The curse eats at me being that I showed up on campus in the Fall of 1991. Go Tigers... come West to play in the near future... USF & St Mary’s trip!

Romar brought in a real good freshman class. 2 transfer from Oregon we don’t have to worry about. Us playing them early with our new pieces is actually perfect for us. They return a core of Dunn, Cooper and Ross... Ross is real good and had a great freshman season. Overall this program has program has been stuck in the bottom half of the West Coast Conference and hence a change needed to be made. They will play open style with a lot of freedom giving to his guards to create off the dribble and of course they will have the green light to let it rip from beyond the arc. We need to be fit and ready to run with these guys. Ok enough from me... Beat Morgan State boys! I miss them football guys.. cherish those Fall leaves... can’t get that here in NorCal!

Love this. Thanks. Humility and intangibles was stressed more than once which says a lot about what happened last season. Lots of ifs but man is this gonna be a fun season to watch and see how we improve. Again I must point out... yes it’s about getting to the dance ultimately but our program is still in a really good place and we must acknowledge that. We continue to get better talent and although some of it hasn’t always stuck around we are still getting it. We couldn’t always say this in the past... we’d get a player or two then some fillers. Maybe I’m the eternal optimist being that I live in the bubble that is San Francisco but I truly believe our time is coming. Skerry is the right guy! It still is a great time to be a mid major... let’s not forget that. Yes at times we’ve become a minor league for the bigger schools and yes the CAA had no tv deal but we are on the map. Wichita State does it. Gonzaga does it. Loyola Chicago did it. Why can’t it be us!!??

Miserable heat down there... enjoy. Sampson loves to make phone calls... that was 2008... time flies. His choice and so be it. The show must go on.... It’s winter here in San Francisco and our tradition amongst hoops fans is attending the SF Pro Am summer league where I get to watch lots of solid potential college talent be misinformed by their guardings, friends and coaches. This is truly an epidemic in college ball now... the transfer!

Oguine & Rorie will be Seniors.. they can flat out play. Thank god we are not playing in Missoula... tough place to play and awful awful ride from the airport.

A Philly kid in Spokane!!?? He’s gonna really have to change his game drastically to fit in there. Yes they do well with transfers but Mark Few is a really tough demanding coach... careful what you wish for.

Considering all that has transpired since March 4th.... great job staff!!! Highlighted by this Timberlake signing... the more I read the more excited I’m getting.. is he Steve Nash!? No. Could he possibly turn into a tough as nails winner like Ryan Arcidiacano!? Maybe. Hope is a good thing Red and we got it back.
