Here’s a fcs football guy giving his thoughts on the CAA conference moves

https://footballscoop.com/news/recruiting-nfl-mike-minter-deion-sanders-coach-prime-campbell-camels are the camels gonna come in here and be the new JMU?

I think it make sense for travel logistics to have local regions north/south. I can’t imagine the nightmare it must be for UMD to now have to coordinate playing UCLA in every sport. I hope the close proximity to the rival schools will create some regional rivalries and allow for more fans to travel to road games. I can’t say I’ve ever been to another CAA stadium other than Johnny U. Maybe it could make sense to have a bus coordinated to take students to away games at an affordable price

One more month til we kickoff against Bucknell! Would be interested to hear everyone's prediction on our record this year?
-
Yeah I’m pretty sure $25 is an increase from when we attended it was $15. Still free for students, but yeah maybe they could have settled on 20. The 3 for $60 deal is good. I wonder if people are willing to pay that or if they should have gone the opposite direction and had 10 dollar tickets to get the masses in the stadium

A good listen, really puts into perspective that we have 50 new guys so he really doesn’t know who is gonna be the core starters. Fun for competition but a difficult puzzle to solve for the head coach to find the right pieces of who starts. We’ll see how good of an evaluator Rob is this year

https://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/2022/07/greg-schiano-rutgers-needs-millions-in-nil-money-to-retain-top-football-players-politi.html?outputType=amp yikes, with record inflation and gas prices now we also gotta pay millions to ensure college players are not poached by schools with more money. Crazy. How much NIL money do you think we need to be competitive?
-
What is that long veiny thing in Rob’s pants? Of course this is the towson football clip going viral lol Our coach got a big D

We like being the disrespected underdog! They always predict us low in the polls.

Anybody know why Steve Kerr was at TU today?

Almost had me fooled, thought could he really be here scouting Cam? -
Need to pad the win column and maybe give the bench guys some time to play
-
Looks like we got the international recruits on campus! Hopefully the team can have a good camp despite the heat wave
-
It's July, don't be so Doom and gloom. This is the time of year we can feel good about the program. Has the potential to be a fun year
-
Maryland Public Television! Hell yeah! It's a start!
-
D’ago Hunter seems like another guy who has been here forever with a red shirt season and covid sit out season. Would love to see him take a few kick returns to the house this year!
-
They are scared to play us because we went to college park and had them on the ropes up 10 in the 2nd half. They think it’s embarrassing if they don’t blow us out

A Conversation with Athletic Director Steve Eigenbrot

I appreciate the bonus coverage! He seems to be bright and open to feedback. Will be interesting to see what he says vs what he does -
Yeah ask about additions to the stadium. Gotta make it pop more

Also, love Spiro but would be incredible for the brand to bring in Jake Marsh to commentate a mens basketball game. @PMTsportsbiz on Twitter. He’s a member of the number one sports podcast, pardon my take, which has millions of weekly listeners. They would for sure shout-out watch the towson game with Jake commentating and all the podcast fans and sports gamblers would get a reason to follow towson
-
He played as marylands qb in 2016. If my math is correct that makes him about 25 years old and this would be his 7th year of college football, wild. Hopefully he’s a man amongst boys out there and can run around like Lamar Jackson making the defenses look silly. Hopefully practicing against him will toughen up our candy ass defense
-
Agreed, he's gotta get in good with the frat/sorority presidents and get them to show up for a big tailgate party. Also, the black student Union is the biggest organization on campus and they held big fun cookouts outside the student Union when I went there. Speak to them about bringing their friends and family to the game. He's gotta be a man of the people(students)
-
YITBOS, you're a Delta sig right?
-
Agreed, as someone who lives in Baltimore we already have the O’s and Ravens. Why would a school in the county like towson be Baltimore’s team? Ask him about making a Towson Hawaiian shirt or bucket hat Ask about tailgating and if security will be checking everyone's cooler to make sure they don't have more than a 6 pack of beers? Ask if he thinks Rob is over or under paid? Ask if he would engage with us on here or Twitter? Does he have a woman focused strategy for fan retention? 70% of campus is female How was the world lacrosse championship turnout? What's your favorite bar in Towson? What are his plans for opening up South campus/Osler drive/the athletic facilities? Maybe put a snowball stand over there? Will he get a tiger tattoo or ear piercing if men's basketball makes it to the NCAA tournament? Thoughts on the legalization of sports gambling? Thoughts on NIL? Any Towson students with any sweet deals at this time?
-
Looks like Delaware and Morgan State were interested too. This could be good to heat up the QB competition another notch
-
Dr. E needs to speak at freshman orientation and essentially beg all the new students to show up to sporting events
