We won by 22 last time so I guess that is factoring into this line but I would have to think we don’t cover 18.5. Especially at home. Might have to stop at horseshoe tomorrow

I know we all like to think if we had all our guys healthy we would steamroll everyone in the conference but the reality is we won’t have all our guys full strength. It happens, injuries, mysterious illnesses, etc gotta play with the cards you’re dealt with. This team does have some team of destiny vibes but i think we do need a little bit of good luck to win the caa tourney

We all saw the trap game coming. That cold water shock to the system hopefully is a wake up call that if you don’t come correct you can get your ass beat by anyone in this league. Good this humbling moment came now and not in the tournament. Team now knows they can’t afford to lose like this again. Need to be sharp every night at this level. However, i agree a big win should occur on Thursday and i might just take off work, go to C&R Pub then go to the game after having myself a day!

The women are looking good up at half time against W&M on flosports. Nelson is a stone cold killer splashing 3’s. Kubek is tall but I would like to see more hustle and more ball handling out of her. She seems to swat at the ball and tip it but she needs to grab the rock like it’s a bag of money! Shots are falling but need some more intensity and better defense out of this bunch

2022 is the year of the tiger! Our big cats are some road dogs ready to start barking. Woof woof! Towson needs to win but also needs to find their rhythm and hit our stride to get to playing our best basketball come tournament time. Want to see our young guys get some experience and grow. Want to see Charlie blossom on offense with that sky hook he can pull off with both hands. Want to see smart defense, less fouling, and want our free throws to start going in at a high percentage. Want to see Pat Skerry dial up some smart strategy and win us some big games when it matters most! Hail to the Towson Tigers!

I think Monmouth and Stony Brook could become a good rival to Towson. TU has a big student population from New Jersey and Long Island so these two schools could create some good back and forth from the New York, New Jersey, Maryland folk. Can’t say I know anybody who went to school at Hampton but hey Virginia is within the region too. JMU was obviously the star pupil in the CAA class so it hurts losing them from a competitive pedigree standpoint but the new kids on the block should be easier teams to beat than the dukes

They gave us a little flashback of the uncw game last night. Up by like 12 then having the lead dwindle away, but this time we dug deep and pulled out the W. Gotta love that progress in the program. Lots of teams of the past would have faltered on the road after giving up that lead. Kudos to the staff and team on an impressive win! Guys on this board have talked about that “killer instinct” I really wanna see our guys put teams away in the second half, get a lead, then put their foot on their throats and keep running the lead up to 20. Our team has a lot of nice guys but when the mask comes on and it’s game time we need them to be assassins. When things are grim, be the grim reaper! Would love to sweep the hens back to back! Thursday can’t come soon enough

For the biggest college basketball rivalry game being played today!

Interesting phenomenon this year as we get back to back games against our rival. Always a physical back and forth high energy matchup between the chickens and the tigers. We need to crash the boards harder than the stock and crypto markets have been crashing the past few days! Good opportunity to see how tough these guys really to try and bounce back after a quick turnaround on the road. I would think this back to back rivalry series would have drawn some ESPN attention but so far i have not seen anything

Couldn’t believe the officiating crew this afternoon stopping to help UNCW any chance they could. Can’t blame it all on the refs but they certainly hurt us. Wish we could rebound like teams of the past. Would like to see some better in game adjustments by skerry to finish out these games. Towson gets into these games that could be life changing and can’t seem to get the big win we have all been craving. We got the potential we just gotta execute better. Year is far from over. Ball if life. The train keeps chugging along

I was just thinking the same thing #1 vs #2 in the conference at the moment. Big game Saturday in a packed sports weekend! Maybe the biggest home game in the skerry era? Hope the students show up, of course I’m working tomorrow trying to keep my job smh lol but that’s life. UNCW has won some close games and I see they also lost to Pitt earlier in the season. Great test for the most fun and nicest group of guys Towson has ever had. I hope in a few months we can say with confidence these guys are the best team Towson basketball has ever had! Been a fun ride, love our guys! Chef Skerry cooking up some sizzle on offense

Beating dematha, PVI, and Good Counsel are all big wins in a WCAC usually dominated by the Stags. Gonzaga usually has a team that can hoop as well. He seems confident but is a big fish in the high school pond. We’ll see how his game translated to playing with the big boys in the CAA. I hope he can make an immediate impact as a freshman
