Camo backpacks don’t excite me like floppy bucket hats do but at least there is a giveaway to get some butts in seats. If we lose this one I’ll be really sad. 

I just don’t understand how Russell has regressed so much. He was playing great ball earlier in the year, but now he can’t seem to shoot or defend. He wasn’t wearing a headband last night like he usually does so maybe he needs to put his lucky headband back on.

I didn’t understand why Cam was the inbounder on the final play to Nic for the alley op. Shouldn’t we have our top scorer out there when we need a bucket desperately? 

Giving May the start over Conway was an interesting decision too knowing May can’t play on the road. Maybe put hicks in if Conway is too hurt to produce?

Also, the big fella, mayor of Towson, Charles Thompson is not giving us the spark he did last year. Not sure if his ankle injury in the tourney last year is the cause, but we need him to be an alpha.

Cam might need therapy. I’ve heard of golf therapy/sports psychologist. Maybe he needs to see a specialist to be able to better manage his emotions on the court. His technical fouls and turnovers are too costly.

Coach Skerry loves Nic because their both Massachusetts guys but if your prodigal son is shooting 1-9 how can you objectively make the decision to trust him to make a bucket at the buzzer?

True, I guess we can add savvy business person to Skerry's skill set. He saw a good opportunity to get paid in a stable role. Good for him, he tricked the interviewer into giving him the job.

Pathetic, these guys haven’t earned their scholarships this year with the lackluster effort. Cam literally grabs a guy and throws him to the ground every game. Got a technical foul and he should be benched but unfortunately we need him cause nobody else could score tonight. Timberlake and May couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn tonight. Hicks couldn’t score an open lay up to seal the game. CT missed game changing free throws AGAIN. Pat Skerry and the boys spotted the other team 10+ points to start the game per usual. Just an absolutely disgraceful showing. Maybe now Dr. E will consider making some changes to the coaching staff

Is the most dangerous team in the CAA…Drexel?

It sucks we have so many what if’s with this program. What if Gibson was healthy? What if CT didn’t get hurt in the tournament last year? What if Johnny Davis didn’t get shot during the JB run? What if CT made his two free throws against CofC? Ugh mind boggling 

For a towson program that prides itself on toughness and rebounding we got manhandled. Our guys were pussyfooting around getting blocked by Williams time and time again. Mr. 30 point sharpshooter nick did not show today, instead we got the familiar pouty head case Nic. Missed a dunk, didn’t get a call on a foul and let that ruin his day. Conway’s regression hurts, I get he’s injured but somebody’s gotta give us some points outside of the big 3. Mays inability to play on the road doesn’t help our cause. Cam tried to play hero ball and it wasn’t enough. Needed somebody out there trying to Will us to victory. Charlie Thompson was not himself today, not sure what his deal was (maybe the boys ate Philly cheesesteaks in the locker room and came out there fat and sluggish?) 

this team when firing on all cylinders can hang with anyone in the league, but when that’s not the case we can get punk’d by just about anyone in the league. Consistently inconsistent under Skerry. 
 

hope we can get lucky is basically our strategy for the rest of the season

The NC A&T game against us looked like a sellout. UNCW sold out Trask against Charleston and I would argue has the best atmosphere in the CAA. And CofC has had a few sellout games being nationally ranked. This league has fans, just needs to accommodate them better. I wonder if Charleston will have another selllout when the towson tigers come to town? If only we could bribe 5,000 students with DP Dough calzones to finally sellout SECU which we spent an arm and a leg on.

I’m optimistic Dr. E will be the best AD we have had in a long time. Hoping he can find creative solutions for us. 

Free throws were much improved! Still need to work on points in the paint. Hope Nic can continue to score at the rate he has been. Also hope May can take his 3 point shooting on the road. Been great at home. He’s from the DMV, so hopefully DC in March feels like a home game to him

Getting more points out of Sylla and May has been huge. Glad to see them being coached up, they were rough around the edges at the start of the year but now they are playing with confidence. Conway as well, hope he heals quickly and gets back to splashing 3’s at a higher clip than almost anyone in the country. Can CB or Tyler Coleman please make a dramatic improvement and give us a few extra buckets? Thanks as always for the stats and coverage, Mat.

towson basketball can actually score and is fun to watch. Expectations aside, that Statement alone is a positive. Nobody wants to see slow rock right skerryball we suffered through for the better part of a decade. We want threes, dunks, and ball movement! 

Spread is 13. How we feeling gentleman? Seems like a lot of points to me. What I’ve been doing is waiting for us to start the game losing so the line moves and I can get in at a better number. Thoughts?

Interesting comments from Cam “we’re kinda older than them so we let our uh veteran leadership take over” lol say it with your chest like you mean it and actually believe it. We need him, Charlie, and nick to step up as leaders. Hyped up like Dalton Bolon screaming at people!

Also cam on his role coming off the bench and why that’s been a thing “My character, I’m unselfish, I’ll do anything for this school” Actions speak louder than words. We all saw Cam trying to pad stats and not pass the ball in the first half. However, he did start making some hook shots and we needed someone to step up and score.

on a positive note, CT had the night we have been waiting for. He was imposing his will, slamming the basketball through the rim with authority. We need him to play charged up like that on offense every game. I also wish we had gotten Dougherty to come play here. He would have fit the mold of tough, physical, rebounding, skerryball teams. Him and Charlie together would be unstoppable. 
 

Nic started bad but was able to get it together on go on a streak. This is encouraging because we have been harping on him missing one shot and sulking for the rest of the day. Shooters need to have a short memory. Forget the misses, focus on the next one going in. 
 

we got some help in the conference with Drexel and Delaware losing. Need all the help we can get as well as to stack wins against teams we should beat on paper. 
 

Hope we catch lightning in a bottle and can put 3 great games together back to back in March but as well all know hope is not a strategy! We’re gonna need to improve a lot to beat Charleston
