What’s wrong with the women’s team?! Preseason favorite and now at the bottom of the league

Kylie was hurt or sick tonight. Quinzia Fullmore has missed a bunch of games. India Johnston is their best shooter, but doesn't defend well. It's a real bad mix, but it's the same team as last season for the most part. Wonder if the issues with Harper missing time have anything to do with the team's lack of consistency or if they are tuning her out. Not sure, but they are a really tough watch this season. Kornegay-Lucas should be their best player but lately, it's been Patty Agnumba.

From what I saw tonight, they took some poor shots and didn't get back in transition. Monmouth hit everything from deep, but they were open a lot. They pass it extremely well just as they did in the championship game. Well-coached. Better shooters, but not more talented. Kylie played very little from what I saw. She's the heart and soul. They have no chemistry with the bigs and guards. They also have no consistent power forward. She plays three guards normally (Kyle, Patty A. and Alexia Nelson) and usually India Johnston somewhere in the mix. The rest are just fighting for playing time. I've never seen so much depth at the 5, but they can't find the right mix. Kayla Morris is around 6-5 and should dominate, but she's shooting jumpers all the time. Fullmore isn't bad, but is inconsistent. Jenkins the 6-3 freshman has potential. And Taye Johnson is sort of their Chase Paar.

They won their last game over a pretty good Charleston team on Sunday so hopefully they are back on track.

Big win in overtime of 18-2 Stony Brook. Huge. Kylie stepped up big. I couldn't believe Indiana Johnston, who had three treys early on, didn't play in the fourth quarter and in OT. Patty Agnumba played 43 minutes. She's a machine and had 22 points on 8-of-21 shooting. Still having issues in the post. But found a way to win with Kyle with 25 points, but also had 6 of the team's 20 turnovers. Stony Brook hurt themselves from the line, going 16-of-29.
