William & Mary got off to a great start and really never looked back. They were up by 15 in the first half and the Tigers went on a late run to cut the lead to 9 at the half. A Zane Martin dunk over Nathan Knight, a Justin Gorham dunk and a Mike Morsell three cut the lead to four but the Tribe answered back with their own run and it was never close. The defense wasn't as bad as the score looked as they held W&M to 46.2 percent shooting and 11-of-26 (44% 3pt) from beyond the arc. They average shooting over 50 percent from the three-point line.

But the offense was dreadful. Towson settled for three-pointers against their zone, making just 6-of-25. Mike Morsell ended his career with 5-of-19 from the floor and 2-of-9 from beyond the arc for 14 points, 7 rebs and four turnovers. Zane Martin struggled early on with just three points at the half. He ended with 18 points and nine assists. Justin Gorham added 16 points and 10 rebounds. In his last three games, he finished with 64 points. Towson went to the line just 9 times and made six, while Knight was 10 for 11.

David Cohn led the way with 24 points for the Tribe, while Brian Starr, in his return from missing two games with an illness, had zero points.

Comments from postgame on the radio:

"We took too many threes. That was the big issue. We knew they were going to play zone. We settled too much. Didn't get to the line and to the glass. Our awareness was not very good. Other than Zane, not a lot else. Justin did a good job. Our plan was, no dunks, no fouls on Knight. We fouled too much. Didn't get enough done. Cut it to 4 but then did some bad stuff. A trademark for us in Jan and Feb.. We have to change. We're going to make some changes to getting back to playing as well as we didn't early in the season. They are the number one shooting team. They made some timely shots. Cohn killed us. 24-0 at the point guard position. Tough one to overcome. We appreciate the efforts of all those seniors. Talented guys. Guys that really wanted to compete every day and win. Didn't end the way we hoped it would end.ocus on getting their degree. Mike could continue to play. Those guys competed. They wanted to win. Have some success. Good guys. Appreciate what they gave us."
