TSU88 Posted July 16, 2022 Report Posted July 16, 2022 Arnold Ziffel from Green Acres is our next QB?🤔😆 Seriously, I think I know who it is. Does he have a connection to another in-state school, say one right down Rt. 1? Quote
TSU88 Posted July 17, 2022 Report Posted July 17, 2022 Pigrome is the type of QB I’ve been clamoring for for quite sometime, a dual threat guy who can make big plays outside the pocket. He’s certainly experienced, having played at both UM and WKU. I’m hoping this will be a big boost for the offense, which might have to put up a ton of points if the defense is a sieve again 1 Quote
mat1992 Posted July 17, 2022 Author Report Posted July 17, 2022 No matter what the defense looks like and chances are it will be average at best based on history, at least we should be pretty entertaining on offense. Sam Reynolds, Piggy and RB Joachim Bangda are going to give this offense some much-needed punch. Reynolds is a 4.4 burner who can be used as a receiver, third-down back and in the return game. mat1992 Posted July 17, 2022 Author Report Posted July 17, 2022 Piggy's numbers at Western Kentucky were a bit better than they were at Maryland, but I know low completion % (58%) and low yards per attempt (5.4). But had 9 passing TDs and just 2 INTs with four rushing TDs and 337 rushing yards in 10 starts. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4036210/tyrrell-pigrome Quote

No Jmu no Ndsu already makes for a much easier schedule but is 7-4 and sneaking into playoffs and getting smoked worth another year of lame duck coach? Expectations have to be super low for everyone including the new ad Quote

Expectations have to be super low for everyone including the new ad I think we’re talking about 2 different things here. The offense could be exciting and we don’t even get 7 W’s, if the D is porous, which recent history suggests is not unlikely. Now, with a weaker schedule on paper, could we weasel into the playoffs and be 1 and done? Sure. Here’s where I’m somewhat conflicted to be honest. I want the team to make the playoffs, but, if it turns out to be 1 and done, thus earning RA another one year extension, is that really in the long term best interests of the program? 1 Quote
