Until Towson realizes student attendance should be highest priority, we will never get great in football or basketball. Students who attend games will donate to the athletic department as alumni and come back as alumni/increase attendance. Our problem is lack of significant money to pay off poor coaches and get good coaches and landing great players. Empty stadiums do not land great players.

This team really deserves a ton of credit! Going 18 for 18 in conference matchups is absolutely incredible, no matter what the sport or the level. The Tigers are one of only seven teams in the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball to be undefeated in conference play this year, and they are the only team in the entire nation to go undefeated in conference play and not get pushed to the fifth set in any match. Hopefully this year we can get a manageable first-round matchup and win our first NCAA Tournament match.

No one makes the NCAA Tournament in March from the CAA by games they win in November. This is a 100% proven fact. The CAA is a weak league and is not getting an at-large bid. The way people whine and whimper about pre Thanksgiving losses could make a less learned observer think that Towson had actually made a postseason appearance since the George H W Bush Administration. But if it helps you to get your undies in a bunch over such then enjoy the shared misery. It's funny to watch. All that being true, the loss to Buffalo was brutal.

That program also beat UConn. Martelli was there too long. But sure, they are not as good as they were a few years ago. It's not a significant win but it is a solid win. Anytime you can beat an A-10 team, even if they are mediocre-at-best in the league. What we are is a major question mark still. But I do like one thing and that's playing Gibson in these late situations. It will hopefully pay off later.

You make good points but: I graduated in 1982 and we still draw the same in basketball or 2,000 a game. That is almost 40 years. Football draws about 2,000 more than 40 years ago. We have made very little progress in 40 years.
